Because I just mentioned it in another thread, a Napoleonic War FPS. (Hoping someone will heroically swoop in to announce that one already exists and hence become my hero).

I also wouldn't mind FPS technology going further back to increasingly ancient battles, where you have to fight in major world conflicts. Like, for example, being a soldier in the armies of Alexander the Great, where you have to march among thousands of soldiers fighting your enemies with a small sword, a spear, and other historically accurate weapons, blocking your enemies' blows with your shield, waiting for the ideal moment to leap out from behind your shield and stab them, all from First Person Perspective. That would be pretty damn cool.
I can dig that, how about a FPS, 'risk' (the board game etc) style, allowing you to use historical figures at different times?

I fecking lurve risk!

I really cannot say this enough. RENDER UNTO ME JADE EMPIRE 2 DAMMIT!!!!!

Also, an MMORPG set in the zombie apocalypse.

Ooh ooh, and a game where the main character is a dragon. Not with the option of playing as a dragon; not as someone riding a dragon. Just a dragon the whole way through, doing what dragons do.

A game set in space with a free roam environment kind of fallout 3 style where you can explore a solar sistem and all the astronomical bodies whithin, like planets, moons, comets, debris fields, and such. A good story that has you traversing in a ship named and customized by the player would make for a hell of an experience. There could be events for you to use the ships in that might also be available for multiplayer like racing and dogfights on top of the usual multiplayer experience with the characters. Also:

Guess i was kinda confused...everyone else is just throwin out sequels...I have an idea for a game that basically follows the "Super-soldier" plot formula, except the main character is a dog. He could hold light weapons in his mouth and have huge mounted turrets on his back for heavy weapons. Power ups would be doggie biscuits. Oh, and he can talk, what with being genetically engineered and shit...
I love canines so this sounds like a game I'd check out. :)

A game that takes the Mechanics of the Mega Man Battle Network Series and puts them into a game where the story doesn't make me want to weep into a pillow at night. The whole idea of combining a strategic "card" based system into fast paced tactical position fighting was just tremendous, and while I do love Mega Man games in all their glory the Battle Network series just had some of the most cringe inducing storylines ever seen in the world of gaming.

Also Jade Empire 2. Did no one else think that the combat style and overall feel of Jade Empire was some of the best that Bioware had done? I'd say it ranks higher then Dragon Age and the first Mass Effect, on par with the first KotOR, but worse then Mass Effect 2. They seriously could have done some awesome things if they would have made a Jade Empire 2.

The Elder Scrolls Online.

Because TES already has an epic world, full of factions, varied lands, storyline, everything, and because it'd be freaking awesome. Although I feel like the graphics would probably kill computers. But, it would kick ass.

I would love to see a Legend of the five rings game in the style of either Elder Scroll or Dragon Age

A cool spellcasting RPG for the Kinect.
please dont feul the kinect im begging you we want this stuff over with even if they made it it would suck anyways i mean at least wii and playstation can do shooters and hardcore now but kinect isnt good for anything but easy casual for now
Just for that, I'm going to say a kinect game too. Let's call this one... I don't know... the miracle worker. This game allows you to cause miracles by the wave of your hand, shaping landscape and creating things on the fly with the flick of the wrist. The game will play like a civ/sim city mash up in real time with an optional time pause ability. Challenges will mostly be about maintaining the faith of your people, and nurture your religion to be the most powerful and far reaching one out of all. Yeah, that'll do for now.
ok that would be cool but as i said it still sounds more casual casual

alright, let's up the ante.

sword and board
using the kinect, you're now a warrior that has to fight off hordes and hordes of orcs. There is a minimal amount of storyline, and you just kickass all the way through.

you start off by picking your equipment, and deciding where you'd wear it. (i.e. shield on left or right hand? no shield? two handed sword? sword and dagger?)

okay it sounds fun but unusable with no motion controller the system cant tell all arms and legs in all it would be fun for a while but it would also be glitchy as hell and because it is a kinect game one of the main guys on the project would probably screw it up by making it "Kid friendly" therefore extremely easy turning a kickass idea and concept into a casual childrens game

Yes you can, you TOTALLY can. The kinect is DESIGNED to read limb movements. Right now, because it is in it's infancy, the reading algorithms are still pretty crude, so it can't do things like thumbs and wrist twists. But what's to say that the future stuff can't? The hardware is fully capable of handling it and registering info. I've seen vids of guys who hacked the kinect to show how much detail it can truly capture. (Seriously, youtube it) I've seen hospital use the kinect as a way to manipulate CT Scans during operation, remotes using the kinect to control a robot and making it dance, and so many other cool hacks. Surely the device itself has more potential than you're giving it credit for.

Plus, the whole fear of it being "kid friendly" is more of a comment on the mentality of devs and publishers rather than the kinect itself. Besides, these are "games I want to see made", not "games that are disappointing versions of itself".

So whose to say that this dream game would not be totally gritty and hardcore?
