Games with very good acting?

To contrast some games with rather horrible voice actors, I figured a thread about games that did voice acting right would be ideal. I think that voice acting is one of the most underrated aspects of a game, and if it is done very well, the overall immersion can shoot through the roof; where bad voice acting can make a great plot only meh at best.

And to start this off, if I had to choose a game where the voice acting bumped the game up astronomically, it would have to be Escape from Butcher Bay. Vin Diesel could vomit in that game and it would still sound cool. His one-liners are done extremely well and make Butcher Bay itself feel more like the toughest prison in the universe.

So what games do you remember for the quality voice acting?

I quite liked the acting done in Starcraft and Warcraft 3.

Dante's VA in Devil May Cry captured the character well I thought, and except for some ah...less than stellar moments (LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT) it was decent enough.

Eternal Sonata has the best voice acting ever.
Seriously though, the voice acting in the Uncharted Games are pretty good.

God of war 3 has some really good voice acting.

I really didnt like the voice acting in oblivion. Got so repetetive when a group of bandits all sounded the exact same

I've always loved San Andreas's voice acting. San Jackson and the late Chris Penn are incredible crooked cops and Peter Fonda, James Woods, Ice-T, Clifton Collins Jr, and several others helped create very memorable characters. I don't know if I would say this is Oscar-quality acting but if acting is the transition of the character from paper to the final product then these guys all did incredible!

Male Shep aside, most of the voice work in Mass Effect is pretty good. Dragon Age, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank all excellent.

I also enjoyed Arkham Asylum, Disgaea and reaching back a bit here, Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango.

Humorous games tend to be overlooked here, but the lines in some of those games would fall flat without the right delivery.

Uncharted, a million times Uncharted! :-D Best acting I've ever seen in games. Sure, Mass Effect is great, but Shepard really isn't.

Well I was about to say this as well.
I really felt that the characters in Starcraft had emotion, and Blizzard did a good job of carrying that on to Warcraft 3.
I don't know how it is for WoW though...

I've always liked the narrartor in the god of war games and the uncharted games really enrich the experince for that game. I also liked the fact that ghostbusters the game had the orginal actors but I don't think it' as good as god of war and uncharted.
