I get that. I like Crispin Freeman, but he always feels over the top to me. Big time overacting imo. He does best when he plays an over the top character.ciortas1 said:This video is so weird to me, the male actor does seem wooden, but at least when compared right next to each other, the female Shep just feels like she's overacting as hell. Bah, well, didn't feel it while playing through both games, so no harm done there. Cheers.meganmeave said:Well, for me anyway, he seems to have this disconnect from the other characters. He comes off wooden in comparison. Here is a video that compares the female Shepard and male Shepard directly.ciortas1 said:I know this is probably not the place for it, but, hell, I don't really want to make a thread for that, but I have a question. What's wrong with the male Shepard's voice actor? Almost anytime I see Mass Effect 2's cast mentioned, he seems to be getting the least love, to put it kindly. Why?meganmeave said:Male Shep aside, most of the voice work in Mass Effect is pretty good.
Perhaps if you couldn't hear the female next to the male, it wouldn't be as obvious, been when taken together, it becomes a little hard to ignore. For me in any case.
Another one I like that I can totally understand others disliking, Mark Hamill in Arkham Asylum. He seems really nutty, but he is the Joker, so it works for me.
And look! You made more than just a list! I think this could actually be qualified as a discussion!
