Male Shep aside, most of the voice work in Mass Effect is pretty good.
I know this is probably not the place for it, but, hell, I don't really want to make a thread for that, but I have a question. What's wrong with the male Shepard's voice actor? Almost anytime I see Mass Effect 2's cast mentioned, he seems to be getting the least love, to put it kindly. Why?
Well, for me anyway, he seems to have this disconnect from the other characters. He comes off wooden in comparison. Here is a video that compares the female Shepard and male Shepard directly.
Perhaps if you couldn't hear the female next to the male, it wouldn't be as obvious, been when taken together, it becomes a little hard to ignore. For me in any case.
This video is so weird to me, the male actor does seem wooden, but at least when compared right next to each other, the female Shep just feels like she's overacting as hell. Bah, well, didn't feel it while playing through both games, so no harm done there. Cheers.
I get that. I like Crispin Freeman, but he always feels over the top to me. Big time overacting imo. He does best when he plays an over the top character.

Another one I like that I can totally understand others disliking, Mark Hamill in Arkham Asylum. He seems really nutty, but he is the Joker, so it works for me.

And look! You made more than just a list! I think this could actually be qualified as a discussion! ;)

Dungeon Keeper. Your Mentor really sounds evil, the good kind of evil.
Hitman, The people in those games really sounded believable.
Oblivion, Even though you hear the same people over and over, the acting itself is still good. And Sheogorath deserves a mention for himself.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain - "I've seen the future vampire, the future says, you die!" "But I am dead... [lops off guys head with sword]... as are you."
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I & II - Everyone aside from the aliens
Mass Effect 2 - Mordin is the stuff of legend, plus it has Seth Green, Martin Sheen, Caprica 6 and Saul Tigh
Eternal Darkness - No game has ever wanted to make me sit and listen to "codec" entries
Tomb Raider: Legend - The first time the acting in the series actually made me care about what happens
Metal Gear Solid - David Hayter is Solid Snake, even a big Japanese community feel that way and THAT'S saying something
Resident Evil 5 - *Winner* Most Improved Award

EDIT: Batman: Arkham Asylum - Kevin Conroy is Batman and Mark Hamill is The Joker, I don't care what anyone says

There are more I can't think of right now but these ones come to mind the quickest.

also i like Batman AA voice acting, joker is awesome *killer Croc comes in blabbering about meat and bones (obviously doesn't get fed enough ^_^)* joker: "that reminds me, i really need to get me some new shoes" XD hehe god i love that villain.

I quite liked ODST's (Romeo excluded). And in case it isn't obvious from what everyone else said- Mass Effect (haven't played 2 yet mind), and the KOTOR games were great aswell (bar the aliens)

Metal Gear Solid has great voice acting. I have a man crush on David Hayter as Solid Snake, and Cam Clarke as Liquid Snake.
Also I agree with the people who said Mass Effect.

Good?
Resonance of Fate (flame shield up)

Great?
Batman Arkham Asylum

Jaw dropping amazing?
a tie between Half-Life 2 (and its expansions), Rockman ZX Advent (the Japanese version), and Mass Effect 2 (Jennifer Hale FTW!)

Reverend Ray's voice from Call of Juarez. Along with the characterisation, he is in my opinion, the most badass videogame character of all time. If a tractor could talk, it would sound like this guy:

Bioware games are usually very good, and I think the characters in Bioshock, audio logged or otherwise, were superbly voiced.

Oblivion is runner up, for the sheer diversity of its cast. Seriously, how could they afford so many actors??

I liked the cynical, world-weary voice acting in what I played of "Demons's Souls", mainly because it added to the dark feel of the game. Also "Uncharted 2".

Well all games have pretty bad voice acting. The only ones I've seen that were really good was the voice acting in Medal Of Honor Airborne.

Uncharted 1 and 2

The story might not be to great, but the acting is spot on.

Most Call of Duty games have pretty good voice acting. Batman: Arkham Asylum also had pretty good voice acting in it. Bioware games always have good voice actors.

Agreed, except for the Oblivion part. I hope you're kidding about that, because I stopped playing the game because everyone sounded the same. It completely unimmersed me.

Also, to add to the list, the Warcraft's VAs were good; kept me entertained, as did everything else that they've done. Good FMVs have nice acting. idk, i'm easy on VAs i guess...

Pretty much any BioWare game has good script and voice acting. But beware, miming is awful.

Pretty much all Bioware games, Uncharted 2, and Fallout 3 I thought had good voice acting, even though everyone does that "blank stare without blinking thing".
