Metal Gear Solid has great voice acting. I have a man crush on David Hayter as Solid Snake, and Cam Clarke as Liquid Snake.
Also I agree with the people who said Mass Effect.
Ocelot was pretty cool also..
Oh my god I forgot all about Ocelot. He was so cool!

Fallout3, I mean Liam makes me happy. I can't be kill crazy while he is talking, which is nice that he leaves before you need to kill people.

Uncharted 2, no game out there compares in terms of the voice acting on display.

Witcher.
English sucked, but russian was the best acting i've heard in 10 years. And the lipsync/mocap being awesome just add to realism.

Despite the horrible audio quality, I thought Final Fantasy XII has some very good voice acting.

Mass Effect. As if it wasn't mentioned like a hundred times already.
All the GTA's after and including GTA3, simply because of the staggering amount of variety.

Half Life 2 and both episodes, particularly Merle Dandridge, 100% convincing, even with the bad jokes.

Bioware games are usually very good, and I think the characters in Bioshock, audio logged or otherwise, were superbly voiced.

Oblivion is runner up, for the sheer diversity of its cast. Seriously, how could they afford so many actors??
Agreed, except for the Oblivion part. I hope you're kidding about that, because I stopped playing the game because everyone sounded the same. It completely unimmersed me.

Also, to add to the list, the Warcraft's VAs were good; kept me entertained, as did everything else that they've done. Good FMVs have nice acting. idk, i'm easy on VAs i guess...
No I'm absolutely serious. They could've been like, hey, lets have one actor for each race and save half the money, but they went for two. Two. Hats off to you Bethesda.
huh. maybe i judged the game too harshly. thanks for the enlightenment :D

Anything by CandaRPGware.
My experience with them is limited though.
I played Space Wizards 1&2, and felt they had superb voice acting.
Same with lizard times: Beginnings.

Male Shep aside, most of the voice work in Mass Effect is pretty good. Dragon Age, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank all excellent.

I also enjoyed Arkham Asylum, Disgaea and reaching back a bit here, Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango.

Humorous games tend to be overlooked here, but the lines in some of those games would fall flat without the right delivery.
OMG I am not the only one who HATES the male Shepard voice!!!

OT: Bioshock especially Ryan, Mass Effect *excluding male Shep*, Team Fortress 2 (what little the guys say is awesome), fallout 3,Assassins Creed 1&2, Kingdom Hearts 1&2,God of War (all), Batman:AA.

As much as the game gets panned for its voice acting, the guys in Heavy Rain are really good, emotional and outright believable.

No, you aren't. Meer-hatin' seems to be the majority opinion, actually. I don't really understand why, and I probably never will.

I'll list Fallout 3 for a very specific (and already touched-on) reason - doing evil things in the moment bothers me about as much as it does in any other game (which is to say, more than is probably normal for virtual wrongdoing), but having to admit these actions to Liam Neeson really freakin' hurts. How does he DO that!?
