I remember a JRPG on the SNES. I remember a bunch of animal/humanoid hybrid party members.

There were summoning spells, and the main character had a special command called "Guts". I have no idea what it did.

Anybody know this game?
Are you thinking of Earthbound (a.k.a Mother 2)?
Nope.

The abilities were magic, not psychic, and the battle screen showed both your party and the enemies.

Wasn't Chrono Trigger, either.
Breath of Fire 2?
Could very well be. To be honest, I wouldn't even know the right name if I heard it.

I'll check it out. Sounds likely to me, though.

I once lended a SNES game from a friend. Top down, fantasy-ish setting. One of the first bosses was a swine of a boar of some sorts and if you defeated it an angel of some sorts would appear, and I believe one of the areas in the game was a mine. I never completed it before I gave it back, but it was pretty awesome. But I do not recall it's name! :(

Update: Found it, after a search through a SNES rom site with thumbnails. It was called 'Young Merlin'.

Alright, 2 games for your reckoning...

First was a space civ sim. You had your race and there were other races you could diplomacise with. I remember one of the other races looked a bit like a sandwich... I remember you could build ships, and you first decided the size of the ship, and filled up the ships slots with engines and weapons and shiz, so you could fill it full of engines and have it mega fast or have no engines and all weapons for a really slow gun platform style thing. Also the only way to travel between systems was by wormhole, but you could set up wormhole blocks or something...
EDIT: And it was turn based! I think. Well it might have been. Probably?
P
It sounds a bit like "Pax Imperia" which is a space civ where you can build your own ships. It isn't turn based though, but you can only move through systems true a wormhole and you could create your own race.
Didn't Masters of Orion have ship building? It's been ages, but that's a possibility. Spaceward Ho! on the Mac fits the description as well.

Okay, I've got one. It was a Marathon engine game on the mac where you commanded a squad of soldiers and could switch between them at any time.

Ach, there was a game from oh so long ago where you were a kid in a horror setting and you had to go rescue someone, I think... all I really remember is that you collected bubbles for pretty much meaningless points and the monsters scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.

It was on PC, sometime in the early 1990s.

Oh, and until recently when I found out the name of it, Commander Keen :D
I love Commander Keen. It was one of my first games, xD

I remember a game, on the PS2, and you played some chick, and you had a... I forgot it's name, but it could turn into stone, and back to it's original form. It was like a short demon dude. His name was like "Shriek" or "Scream" or something along those lines. It was a third person game, as well.

That's all I can remember. I can't remember the name, which is annoying, because I wanna play it.

EDIT: I typoed, sorry. It's been fixed

A ps1 game...I think it had the word 'red' in the title...and numbers...

I am pretty sure it involved an alien invasion or something similar and you played as a cyborg? All I remember is I hired it from Blockbuster and got about 3/4 of the way through (ah back in the day when you didn't have omg twists every 2 seconds)then never found it again....

That was a great game. Wish I could remember it.

My game is an arcade beat-em-up I played with my brother in a hotel on a road-trip to San Diego in, I think, 1999.

All I remember is you're main weapon was something ranged. Like cards or shurikens. And you had a melee attack which you never really used anyway. And though the game started off ridiculously easy for the first couple(?) levels, it got pretty hard later. We played it so much for the one night we stayed there. Such a vague memory and yet I miss it so much :(

It was a RPG on the PS1, where with one character you were a girl and you started out in a catholic school run by Nuns, and when you explored the land beyond the school it was from a top down perspective, like the NES Final Fantasys. Also, you played as another character, a boy, and one of the earliest fights was in a forest/jungle with a gorilla. The battle system was turned based too I believe.
Are you sure it was not on the PS2? Cause it sounds like la Pucelle Tactics

There was one game that really scared me as a kid, i believe it was called dino crisis. All i remember was when the women was outside running towards the generator to get the power back on and dinosaur came from above and attacked her. And there was another scene where a big T-rex was smashing through windows. HE WAS MASSIVE!

If you know the name of the game then why post it?

Thank you so much. I had it years ago, and never really got far into it, but it still held a place in my heart.

There was this game that the first cut scene was a huge strange ship rising from the ground. You then start as a car that can scan stuff, your mission would be to scan stuff for your ship to produce them or something... memories fussy.

Hello, I've got a problem with finding my very missed game which I had on PC but I remember very little of it, just that main character was a boy (whom dress was blue), and the game begins in deserted mountains where he had to fight with some black creatures with red eyes to pass through with some gun which fired the electric stream. It was adventure/platform game and for these years (i mean 1996-1999, I don't exactly remember, only that I was very young then :)) it had very good animations. It consisted on jumping from edge to edge, climbing on the rocks, killing these black dudes and something something.. Don't remember nothing more, but it was very interesting game :) please help :)

there's this shooter, it was either on Genesis or NES or Master system.... one of those. You controlled something that looked like a space marine. I remember many spherical shapes (not positive on that tho), lots of colours, blue and purple were dominant (I think), the game was played from top-down perspective. I also remember a centipede-like boss at the end of the first level.
