Doublepost much?...Anyway, I immediately thought of Vigilante 8, a game for PS1 where you had cars with guns and tried to destroy the other cars. A simple game, but I liked it. My friend still has it, heh.Rhymenoceros said:It was on the PS2 or maybe the PS1 where you had guns on cars and you drove round trying to destroy each others cars.
Anyone know anything about that?
This sounds like Team Buddies, a PS1 game where you stacked boxed on top of each other and got weapons and vehicles from breaking them. It was awesome to play it with friends.NLS said:Okay, I think this was on PS1.
You control a guy (that slightly reminds me of bomberman) from a birds perspective. You have a "base" which looks like a small chessboard. Somewhere around on the map, cubes are dropped from the sky, you can carry these with you back to your base and place them on the board. Once you have enough, you can activate it and get a fancy new weapon, the more cubes you "cash in" the bigger and better the weapons. Anything from grenades to big tanks. So you can spend a few cubes fast to get a small weapon early on, or try to save up for the bigger stuff.
Another enemy also has a base and will try to fight for the same cubes, it could be played by another player or a bot.
Anyone please know the name of the game?
I loved those games.xbeaker said:Hexen (or Heretic)aLaxLuthor said:Mine is a PC game, around the time of Doom. I would bet that this game used the same engine. It was set in a castle sort of environment, FPS. I remember you had a crossbow and could fire different types of arrows. You may have had magic, but Im not sure.

But there was a twist. Not only is it a sidescroller, but it has a Sim City/Civ section where you help restore the kingdoms and uncover dungeons and help the people clear the land and defend them from monsters (sometimes they kidnap people).
I cannot remember the name, at all, please, halp
Edit: It was for the Super Nintendo.

All I can remember of it is that there was a tiny thumbnail of a girl called a Nymph lying on her front nude on grass. The other memory is that there was a crypt on the map that I traveled to to find Undead inside, then killed them.
The game was displayed in a top down view a lot like Heroes of Might and Magic III.
...Don't ask how I know this from that much information.
I can't help you with the first, the third might be Breath of Fire 3, the second is definitely Jade Cocoon.zatzie zombie num666 said:a star wars game on ps1 it was baseicly a demoliton derby the only other thing i remember is for some reson it reminded me of chess

Doesn't happen to be vigilante 8 does it? Or interstate 76? Maybe twisted metal?Da_MoA said:I can remember parts of this game i used to play in the late 90's i think. It was a vehicle combat game and one of the game modes was somthing to do with defending and destroying oil rigs or somthing along those lines, one of the characters could control bees or somthing and another one was a crazy school bus driver.
Becides that all i remember was that there were power-ups such as a exaust that made black smoke behind you that damaged cars if they went in it.
(Reading this over makes me realise the game was insane)
Haha yeah looking it up it was indeed vigilante 8, thanks.ThePantomimeThief said:snip
