I registered just for this as it's been driving me insane!

Basically, from what I can remember it was on either SNES or Sega, the graphics couldn't of been less or more than them two, although I'm not sure on that one. It was a sidescrolling platformer, you could choose to be more than one character at the start, but the only one I remember playing is a Wizard in brown robes. You collected gold from what looked like money bags and at the end of the level you would use the money to upgrade your items. If I remember correctly if you upgraded something on your Wizard he would use his staff to shoot lightning by hitting his staff on the ground.

Level wise I believe the first level you started from what looked like a volcano sort of area which would require you to jump across lava, although I'm not sure that was the first level. Also, on one of the levels I think there was a 'rat' type boss which all the time kicked my ass into the ground.

There's all the details I think, any help would be appreciated.

This game had to be on Sega Genesis or PC. It was a game with early 3d graphics. Your character wakes up, with no memories and you're running around delivering packages and stayin away from the cops. There was a train to get form place to place. Set in the future. I remember it pissed me off, because you couldnt get a gun early in the game. I keep thinking "Fall" was in the title.

Thanks if you can help.

*Just found it. Flashback

Mine was a game where you were an astronaut that crashed on a space station and had to help ghosts, for some reason. The game was so scary (I was 9, okay?) that I never got past the first hour.

Two for me.

One was a side scrolling platformer on the PS1. You controlled this kid who was running away from some shadows/evil goo-like creatures or something. You wore a pot as a helmet and couldn't fight for a decent portion of the game. It came on two CDs and you eventually earned some sort of magic power that could fight off the monsters.

The second CD included you transitioning into playing some other creature that had powers as well. The creature liked apples or something. I think right before the CD swap you played through a water level as him, and the kid was on your back so you had to surface for air in these tricky caverns.

I rented it once and never finished it.
Possibly Heart of Darkness?

It was a lightgun shooter on the PS1 with a gun peripheral. You were at a theme park, and I think you had to find a princess. You had to go through different shooting galleries to gather clues as to her location, and I remember one of them was haunted house-themed. At the end, two scientists rose out from underneath the centre of the theme park and there were these two evil scientist guys.

Hello all, I've got 2 games to pick your brains with. Both played when I was young, I'm guessing mid to late 90's, but can't remember exactly.

First game: A top down shooter, playing a futuristic army character, most of the time was spent in vehicles of different kinds - I remember tanks, planes, helicopters and mechs fighting the same. You were able to get out and steal parked vehicles too. Also remember green grass, roads, and water. Maps were fairly large.
I'm certain the game name was two words and one of them began with Z. I also remember that the version I played was a demo with "purchase the full game" screens when you exit etc.

Second game: This one will be a lot harder. All I can remember is that it was a space based game, where you pilot or are on board a spaceship. I think it was a bit like X-Com (though I haven't played that). The one thing I do remember about this game is that it started off with a real movie intro of 2 guys sitting on a couch chatting to the camera, and then somehow I think they were beamed onto the ship or something from their house. This was actual footage of 2 actors. Just hope I'm not confusing 2 different things!!

Thanks for any help!

@Geekosaurus:

"I remember some sort of weird point and click investigation game from the early 90s on the PC. I'm fairly certain it was made by Lucasarts and had a weird title. The name is right on the tip of my tongue, but my brain hurts when I try to remember what it is.

Edit: It might have had the word 'revenge' in the title. But I'm not sure why I think that."

Sounds like Maniac Mansion or Day of the Tentacle? Try: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LucasArts_adventure_games or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ScummVM#Games_supported_by_ScummVM

FFX. I'm currently re-buying it because of this very reason.

All I remember is the beginning sequence, Blitzball, how bad-ass Auron is, and that Aeons were actually good and fun to use (except for the lengthy openings).

Oh, and that one good CGI sequence with Tidus and Yuna in the water. And the crazy laughing, but I blame Youtube for remembering that...

I remember playing this game on the PC in either the late 90s or very early 2000s. I'm pretty sure it was a third person game where each level you progress through time. I think the first level was in a cave or something and it was supposed to be the prehistoric era. I also remember fighting samurai and there being a western level. The main character wore a blue skin tight outfit I think, I can't remember anything else. I have searched everywhere else but I can't seem to remember the game.

Mine was a game where at the very beginning all of the towns got destroyed so you had to travel into the all the dungeons and find the buildings and inhabitants of the town and then you get to rebuild the towns in any way you like. the combat was ok, but the customization was amazing. it was PS2

I remember a fantastic little game that takes place in some kind of lab or space station where you wake up to discover you've been crafted into a human cyborg, and you make it your mission to escape. That'st eh whole game, you solve puzzles and take real damage. I may be mistaken, but remember actually limping when my leg was injured by a fire, and crawling after my narrow escape from a cyborg velociraptor. This game was totally novel when I found it, and totally forgotten by the world. QQ for it's loss and mad hugs if you can find it.

Totally rings a bell but, so sorry I can't name it either. Was it a Japanese title? because that feels right to me. You recaptured pieces of the town down in the dungeons and put the town back together as you pleased.

I believe that the name had been made English sounding. but many characters and towns definitely had Japanese names.

Some really old game on the PC, kind of like the original Ninja-Gaiden.
Little black ninja guy.
There were red guys with clubs as enemies, then you went to this graveyard and fought a giant chinese dragon.
You could also collect little yellow things which let you throw magic shurikens.
Final boss was a big red Guy called Sashika (i think), he had a big cleaver.

PLEASE SOMEONE REMEMBER THIS GAME, I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR IT FOR YEARS!
"Last Ninja"?

It was a game similar to pokemon. Go out, catch monsters, make em fight each other. Except this had a good story and the monsters didn't suck(yes I went there).
It was all in 3d.
You could fuse the monsters you caught, making anything from pterodactyl turtles, to salamander cats
The story had something to do with your father leaving(i think) the village(which is located in a forest if I remember correctly) and you go out to search for him?
There is also a mysterious masked guy who kicks the crap outta you the first time you met him.
Man, I just can't remember the damn name!
sry if this was allrdy answered was it one of the Monster Rancher games?

I remember it, but there was War of the Monsters

A friend had it, he lost it, then moved away.

I have never heard or seen another copy of that game ever again

They should remake it on the PS3/XBOX360
Ah, that was a good game. Still have it I think. Somewhere.
