I remember playing a game on the SNES.
You were controlling a caveman who could upgrade your clothing to purple. you were also fighting a dinosaur, and when you defeated him, you could go inside it where there was another boss. after defeating that boss, you got a stage selection were you could choose between 4 stages. That's about all I remember. Iv'e been looking for it in many years.
Only game I can think of is Joe and Mac Ninja Cavemen

There was an fps on, I believe, the PS1. It was a parody of the genre and had enemies like asses with legs. Anyone know what this is?

I remember almost nothing from my old consoles days, but there's this one particular game that I feel has permanently traumatized me. At first I though it was Warriors of the Eternal Sun, but the more I look at it the less I'm sure it's the game I remember.

It was definitely on the genesis and it was a first person rpg(???!!!). It was in a dungeon and I think you could choose your own characters at the beginning. There were a lot of skeletons and also I was like 7 so I died a lot and the main thing I remember is the game over screen with this woman laying dead on the floor. Like I said, it was very similar to WotES, but I can't recall ever getting out of the dungeons and the graphics don't look like that in my mind.

Two for me.

One was a side scrolling platformer on the PS1. You controlled this kid who was running away from some shadows/evil goo-like creatures or something. You wore a pot as a helmet and couldn't fight for a decent portion of the game. It came on two CDs and you eventually earned some sort of magic power that could fight off the monsters.

The second CD included you transitioning into playing some other creature that had powers as well. The creature liked apples or something. I think right before the CD swap you played through a water level as him, and the kid was on your back so you had to surface for air in these tricky caverns.

I rented it once and never finished it.

The second one was a PS2 game I think. It was like a top down 3rd person shooter with zombies/undead/demons ect. You had a variety of characters to pick from with unique specialties and weapons, I distincly remember a slow priest-like character who used a crossbow that shot crosses and a fast girl who duel wielded pistols. It had COOP functionality. I remember that one of the boss levels included fighting a giant monster teddy bear and I think the story revolved around some possessed little girl.

My cousin owned the game and I don't remember much about it.

The first one is Heart of Darkness I think.

Could be Dungeon Master (I don't know if that was out on the Genesis, but I think it was) or possibly Ultima Underworld.

It was a game for the PS1 where you designed your robot to fight another robot.
I remember it being like a sort of tournament.
Another thing is that they either had a spring or actual legs to move about on.
I miss you unknown game!

Mine is a PC game, around the time of Doom. I would bet that this game used the same engine. It was set in a castle sort of environment, FPS. I remember you had a crossbow and could fire different types of arrows. You may have had magic, but Im not sure.

There was an old pc game I played once where you were a raptor with a jetpack and the meteor was about to crash into Earth, so you had to fly around and collect eggs. Man, that game was awesome.

(and if they existed, we'd all be fucked.)
Nanosaur! That game was awesome, particularly 'cause we knew the cheats, and played it at school.

I have ONE game i cannot remember the name of, but it was incredibly old (8 years ago?) and you controlled a tank, it was set in the kinda future, cos i remember...lasers and the like. I only played the demo, but it was quite hard, and it was a snow level. Thats all i remember :(
8 years is not incredibly old lol.

Perhaps you are thinking of BattleTanx? A fantastic N64 game.
I think he is, and yes, that game is awesome. In fact, the way they say "Prisoner rescued" when rescuing a prisoner has stayed with me all my life. I think about it whenever I capture the flag in other video games.

What console what is on? Describe the main character and other features of the game.

As for me, it was a Spiderman game I think. For a very old console, and I distinctly remember the first bosses being 3 cheerleaders with hair they whip around and a larger (not giant, but absurdley tall) cheerleader after that who also uses her hair.

I swear I'm not making this up.
That sounds suspiciously like Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage for the SNES/Genesis. Although if I recall the first boss in that game were these 2 punk chicks that whacked you with their hair.

Alright, 2 games for your reckoning...

First was a space civ sim. You had your race and there were other races you could diplomacise with. I remember one of the other races looked a bit like a sandwich... I remember you could build ships, and you first decided the size of the ship, and filled up the ships slots with engines and weapons and shiz, so you could fill it full of engines and have it mega fast or have no engines and all weapons for a really slow gun platform style thing. Also the only way to travel between systems was by wormhole, but you could set up wormhole blocks or something...
EDIT: And it was turn based! I think. Well it might have been. Probably?

The other game was a top down swords and sorcery type game. It worked over LAN on the PC, and the multiplayer was a bunch of large maps with nothing to do but kill and level up. Also it was colourful in that bright way that old games were, you know how I mean. I also remember that soon into the game's single player one level had a lot of giant turtles to kill. And the first level had your hero looking for a sword or something.

Gotta love pre-12 year old Me's memory. :p

Neither of these are really ringing a bell. The first one might be Alpha Centauri. Do you have a time frame they came out?

It wasn't either of those games, but looking up Dungeon Master on google I found out that the game was Eye Of The Beholder so thanks!
