I can get behind this. The only way I'd hate a game is if I paid full retail price for it, got it home, and got 0 enjoyment out of it. That pretty much sums up Red Alert 3 for me.ph3onix said:
Any game that aims for "total realism". If I'm going to crash my car, I might as well have to get out and run away before its nuclear engine goes boom. It's actually entertaining, something games are all about!

I absolutely love fighting games, but mortal kombat as a series needs to die. Or at least be play tested for infinites.
Resident Evil 4. OK, "hate" might be too strong of a word, but throughout my entire life as a gamer, this is the first time I was literally left with a giant "WTF" when I saw people calling it "one of the best games ever".
Also, sports games, but only on single player. These are actually pretty fun when you play with other people. But against the AI? I've broken the disk of every single sports game I ever bought. No exaggeration.

Halo, I remember when Bungie (before being bought out by Microsoft) was producing the game as a PC/Mac answer to Tribes. Team-based online shooter. Looked like it was going to be fantastic too. Then Microsoft bought out Bungie and turned Halo into a cookie-cutter shooter.
Not saying that there isn't some sort of revolution for console shooters because of Halo, just not what the game could have been, and that makes me sad.

I bought that POS went to the "humans" and I tried so many times to make a dude who looked like me and lo and behold they didn't have the right hair, facial structure or even skin tone. So I settled for a troll (at least they had what sounded like a Jamaican accent) any game that makes anybody do that is a very bad game.

A game that gives you hundred of different combinations of characters, and yet can't guarantee that you can recreate all of the over six billion people in the world is a bad game? Create a character that doesn't exactly represent you, it's not going to give you a heart attack. I don't really hate any games, there are games I find overrated, or that I dislike, but they're just games. There's absolutely no reason to hate any of them, there are for more important things in the world to get worked up about.
I don't play games that I hate. The game that I've disliked most in recent memory was Lost Odyssey. Not because it was a JRPG like many here have said, but I found it to be poorly written and I disliked all of the characters.

i hate anything japanese, especially stuff with naruto or dragonball in it. final fantasy too. they should have a law against 13+ iterations in a series. cut it at seven or five. or even ten. by now the story in FF has to be so worn down and old, unless they have a team of writers the size OF japan.
