CoD 4 and 6, GoW 1 and 2, and so many others... Games should be longer, it's not THAT hard.

Short games should have a reduced price.

The only one that comes to mind is Halo 3.

I could've pulled off Prototype in one day if I hadn't passed out during the final boss fight.

Modern Warfare 2!
...as if that's impressive.

If only completing the story mode counts, Disgaea 3.

Indigo Prophecy (aka Fahrenheit). It was on december 23rd, so the theme of cold was quite fitting.

hmmm... ratchet and clank. every single one of them, except crack in time. This isn't the first time playing though, its the second time playing through for most of them.

Don't know if this counts, but on re-playthroughs I completed the original MGS in a single sitting. Not the first time I played it though.

Portal, L4D, Fable (one and two as well as the hidden chapters), Half Life 2 and the episodes, Bayonetta, all the Halos, and I think Mass Effect.
There are a couple o memory gaps with that last one n I'm pretty sure I've done more.
Get bored ALOT

I beat Overlord 2 in one day, no breaks. And it wasn't even that good a game, I just wanted to see the ending. Which I can't even remember now...

That would be Portal. Fun, smart, and dizzying, but suprisingly short. From beginning to end, 9AM to 5PM.

Gun, damn dissapointing too because that game had so much that it could have done. They gave you the really awesome horse and gun and everything after you beat the game, but no option to replay missions (to my knowledge) so the only things you could use them on where the random bandits that were piss easy to kill to begin with.

I prefer to savor my games, milking each one for the most time I can get out of them rather than, "Okay, I just paid $40-$60 for this. I'm going to be done with it before tomorrow!" Buying a new game is a bit of an occasion for me, though, so I suppose that's why. But by now I could probably finish BioShock 1/2 or Assassin's Creed 1/2 in one sitting, but I wouldn't do much exploration/side content in either.

My ultimate goal in that department for now is to one day try to finish Mass Effect 2 in one sitting with at least Shepard still alive.

WoW.

I kid. I haven't done such a thing yet.

edit: Oh no, that's a lie! It just came back to me, i beat one game in 70 minutes when i was a kid: D [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D_%28video_game%29]
i read the wikipedia page you lose the game if it takes longer than 2 hours
Yeah, i didn't mean to brag so much as i wanted to say that i managed to beat it in one sitting just because it's so short. From what i gather, the limited time thing was popular with these type of games.
