The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Absolutely perfect except for one factor:

HEY! LISTEN!
Am I the only person who actually liked Navi? Like, seriously, everyone seems to hate her but me.
I loved Navi as a companion and not until I came to here did I even know anyone who didn't like her.

On topic however, Red Dead Redemption had one of the greatest stories and single player of all time but terrible terrible online play.

Another, FF13, I loved the visuals, the setting, the characters and especially the story but the fighting took no effort for the whole game then BAM, becomes stupidly grindy out of nowhere, it needed a better difficulty curve to make the fights consistently interesting.

CoD4. It has way more than one flaw but it's still fun. I'd say what gets on my nerves the most is unbalanced weapons.

i really like brink
but its just waaaay too glitchy
actually, i take that back. calling it glitchy would be a compliment.
once, i had two characters at the same time with different appearances. i was adjusting the weapon settings for one when suddenly i leave the settings to find that that character had the exact same appearance customization options as the other one. the game suddenly decided to make them identical, right down to faces, voices, and tattoos

It's a fun, awesome game, but a bit... weird. Incest, peadophilia and abortion are all things cut not so subtley out of the western release.
Haha, wow. Honestly though, I can understand how the incest and the fact that Arioch devours children weren't so "hidden" as they said they were in the english release, but... you'd really only know the pedophilia if you looked it up. Cause the only way to see it in the english one is just to have a nonsensical immature dirty mind. Its not really "there."

And what the hell are you talking about abortion?
I could see the undercurrents of affection Leonard had for children, but I didn't realise his problem until I wiki'd him. Then the pieces fell into place. But he makes for it by having the most awesome line ever - "I am already dead. Where this body drops and rots, is of no matter now"
Ah, sorry, I meant paedicide, the murder of children. For some reason my sleep deprived mind added Children and Murder and Wombs and came up with abortion, but that's another topic. As you said, Arioch is apparently obsessed with killing children, something that was dumbed down a little in the english one. Putting her, Seere and Leonard in a room is asking for trouble.

Killing children is one thing. You actually have a mission where you have to kill a bunch of children.

Devouring them is one other thing altogether o.o Which is what Arioch did.

But yeah, I always thought that your allies in that game belonged in a poorly written sitcom. You have:

A Pedophile
A woman who devours children
A child who never ages.

W...T...F?!

Batman Arkum Asylum; riddler's riddles sometimes involved far more batman knowledge than is reasonable.

SLAI;the diffculty curve is sharper than Hannibal Lector's kitchen knives.

Most PC games; complete lies about minimum requirements.

Dissidia 012: It's a Dissidia update, not a new game.
Kingdom Hearts II: Painfully easy, which is why the Final Mix is better.
Metal Gear Solid 3: The Fear.
KotOR II: Rushed ending. Lack of HK Factory, which is why the Restoration Mod is so important.

Just wanted to say, Drakengard was pretty cool, but it wasn't the weird undertones that turned me away, it was the bleeding weapon collection quests.

Also, what happens to Arioch is delicious irony, and Leonard's end is that badass that it kind of redeems him, in my opinion.

Dragon Age II. It's all good until you realize all of the dungeons look the same. Oh and also the illusion of choice.

Resident Evil 4- Enemies dropping items
Metal Gear Solid 3- Pausing to use the survival menu
Devil May Cry(Any)- Aerial controls are frustrating

Mirror's Edge.
Combat required too much practice and perfect timing, same with some of the parkour stuff.
I put most of that down to balance, the difficulties weren't fine tuned enough to match the actual playing ability of the average person.
Although once you did master it the combat made you feel like a ninja :p

I can't think of all the many games that fit into this right now but the most recent one would be Dead Rising 2 for not having a COD zombies style survival mode for extra replayability and zombie killing fun outside of the time constrained and mission driven story mode and the multiplayer which to be honest is not as fun as the core combat mechanic of the story mode.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Blood Omen 2

They had two flaws one is that they eventually end...and the other (which will get me lots of flack),is Soul Reaver. That stupid blue raisin, and all the weird crap that came after him, just wrecked the original story for me.

Odin Sphere had a spectacular aesthetic (thank you Extra Credits), but also had a serious problem with repetition.

Persona 4 had brilliant immersion, lovable characters, rich battles, great gameplay mechanics and lots of other great stuff. My only problem was that I eventually got tired of the abundance of otherwise entertaining cutscenes, especially in my second playthrough. Also, it took at least three hours of exposition and tutorials before the game let me take the helm.

I think all Elder Scrolls games share one huge glaring flaw that can be summed up in one word: Walking. The immersion can be fun, but once I snap back to reality and realize how much time I spent walking from one place to the next (even with fast travel), that is when I decide to move on to something else.

HEY, LISTEN!

You're not alone anymore.
I didn't actually think she was that bad; I actually found her "advice" useful on my first playthrough.
I'd happily face a hundred Navis if they just got rid of that owl.

Oh yeah, the green blonde kids, forgot about them. Hold on... devouring them? Must have missed that bit.
Oh yes, and Verdelet. The most useless person ever. At least in the messed up ending, Arioch and Leonard had awesome death sequences (spoiler? It's 7 year old game!)
Random question tiiiiime... Favourite weapon? Moonfire. It slices through people like a red hot block of stone through butter made of people. It's not the most powerful, and it's magic is a it of a waste, but I still love it. Mmmmm. Taste that firey goodness!

Only 4 voice actors for a huge cast of NPCs...not good.

The Witcher 1 and 2
Lack of fully naked Geralt. >_>

Chrono Trigger: the possibility of completely missing out on getting Magus as a character. ... Aside from nitpicks, though, this game is surprisingly difficult to find real flaws in.

Zelda 2: ridiculous difficulty.

Final Fantasy Tactics: fairly confusing and forgetful story.

Twilight Princess: wii version is mirrored in attempt to make Link right handed.

The Call of Duty series: Treyarch.

The Final Fantasy series: everything past IX.

Seiken Densetsu 3 (or Secret of Mana 2): was never released in America.
Yup, Treyarch. Couldn't have said it better myself.

I eat, breathe and live by Final Fantasy, but I can't for the life of me defend XIII's "have to go digging for the story" or how mind numbingly "on rails" it feels.

Oh, and Socom 4. YOU SPILLED CoD IN MY SOCOM! DAMN YOU! *shakes fist*

Yeah but Pheonix Wright came out 10 years ago and I still hate it when people spoil THAT for me >.>

Well, since they're already out there, oh well.

But yeah, she eats children o.o' Its hinted in the english version multiple times, but the dead give away is in the 4th ending when she's half eaten a grotesquerie before all the other ones come after her.

As the answer to your random question, as off topic to this discussion it is, my favorite would be Kingsblood. It does exactly as much damage as Moonfire, reminds me a lot of Ichigo's Bankai from bleach, has about the same reach as Moonfire, and is faster and has a longer combo than Moonfire. It just doesn't glow red. Oh well. It also has an okay magic attack

There's another one I forgot the name to but it looks like the center of the blade is missing and is replaced by a glow. It has the same traits as Moonfire except for a slightly odd slash, but its magic triples its attack power for a time.

And finally, for heavy groups or those damned undead lancers, the reaper's scythe works wonders.
