I love Dragon Age (Even 2) and Mass Effect, but I HATE Bioware fans. That's why I never use their forums.
Same. Except replace "never use" with "troll" :) (But only if I see a really creepy thread.)

For some reason, now that I'm getting into it, I'm beginning to dislike Starcraft 2 fans. All this talk about nerfs, buffs and "cheese" strategies. Quite similar to WoW in this regard, but I gave that up around Ulduar.

Sonic the Hedgehog. No real need to explain that one.
Tales. I am guilty of this as well, but it seems nowadays all we can talk about is how Namco Bandai hates us. Still crossing my fingers for Vesperia PS3, but things are still looking up here with Graces f and Abyss 3D. Also, we have a tendency to sound like weeaboos.
Silent Hill. I actually really liked Shattered Memories. Why is it every new game has to be criticized for having someone that isn't Team Silent work on it?

Final Fantasy. The Final Fantasy VII fanboys/girls are so fucking annoying. As a die-hard fan of Final Fantasy I can admit that Sephiroth wasn't that great, Cloud was boring, and VII as a whole wasn't as good as other middle-generation Final Fantasies, and those "OMG SEPHIROTH FTWWW <3<3<3" "OMG CLOUD ISH TEH SECKSH <3<3<3" and "OMG STFU SEPHIROTH HAS WAY MOER PERSUNALITY THAN ENNY OF YOR VILLUNS SO STFU OMG OMG OMG" people annoy the fucking hell out of me. To be perfectly honest, no offence to people who love VII (unless you're one of those people who love VII), I really don't get why VII is so hyped.
Don't get me wrong, I do like VII, just not as much as the other middle-generation ones. I can happily play it as long as I'm not reminded of those people.

Topic title really says it all.

Me for example, I love the MegaTen franchise, but I can't stand my fellow fans sometimes. Whether it's the ones who just whine that every game they release isn't Persona 5, the ones who automatically assume everyone who plays the games are just as big an anime watching Japanophile as they are.

I'm sure everyone has at least one series they love where they can't stand the fans. What's yours?
like, all of them.

halo's what comes immediately to my mind though. not on here necessarily (all the halo fans i've noticed on the escapist are relatively level-headed seeming) but just about all of the ones on bungie.net are insufferable whiners. seriously, the game gets more hate there any where else i've been.

That is why Vesperia PS3 will never happen in the US.

Call of Duty, Call of Duty, Call of Duty.

Oh, and change "sometimes" with "always".

Love the games.
Love the gameplay.
Love how the movement, gunplay, and parkour[footnote]Sprint out of window, across wall part, across car, and keep going into a door on the other side of the road on Crossfire from CoD4, for example.[/footnote] just flows perfectly.
Like the maps[footnote]Usually. There's exceptions. Like Rust in MW2. [sub]*shudder*[/sub][/footnote].
Hate most if not all players with unbridled passion.

This. These people are what's wrong with the Final Fantasy fanbase.

Not the people you were complaining about. You.

But here's the thing; Troy Baker said at a con that he recorded new lines for the PS3 version. So, this logically means that money was spent to translate the new lines and get the actors back. If Microsoft had paid for exclusivity, and they knew it would be exclusive, then why spend the money on translating the additional content at all?

TF2. They complain at the drop of hat....I'm not sure this phrase works here.

Hmm..there is a small group of fans whose comments kinda annoyed, or rather disturbed me a few days ago, so I'll just mention that.

It's about a (hopefully) small group of Final Fantasy 9 fans. I've decided to play through IX again and came to the point where the protagonist, Zidane, gropes a fellow party member in the butt and tactfully replies with ''ooh...soft''. Seeing as these people met a day or two ago, I was kinda weirded out by the blatant sexual harassment scene. But I though ''Meh, just Square Enix making a joke about harassing women.''

I eventually found out that tons of people absolutely love this scene, believe that it's the best scene in any final fantasy game, praising Zidane and saying they would have done the exact same and that the female protagonist totally deserved it due to her clothing.

What the fuck?

Morrowind. Love the game and is one of my favorites but the fellow fans for it are more ignorant and obnoxious then Lindsay Lohan.

Minecraft also comes to mind.

COD and Battlefield.
Except i don't really 'love' those games so much more than i tolerate them.
But both fan bases are REALLY annoying, i should know, my brother is heavily into COD, and he's a twat.
Every time someone kills him... MODDER!I KNIFED!HACKER!WHAT THE HELL!*CRAZED LAUGH*
*shudders*
Ha, that sounds like some of my friends, except some of them do that with every video game.
OT: I'd have to say CoD and battlefeild fans like other people, I mean, I like them both (battlefield more so by a little bit). But CoD players just don't seem to play the game for fun most of the time, instead it seems like they want the heighest KDR in their nieghborhood and resort to using cheap methods for easy kills instead of, y'know, playing the game for some fun.
Battlefield fans just tend to get on my nerves for comparing it to CoD. I actually think they're totally different and trying to compare them is pretty dumb.
and to a lesser extent, the portal fans who over use the memes after they've stopped being funny.
