So...

I just decided to get a ROM for EarthBound.

Holy Amazingly Fun Crap. I've Played for 15 Minutes and I already LOVE the game. bit tough but O WELL this is a GOOD frickin' game!

What games have you loved practically instantly?

EDIT: Zelda 3 too. especially since it feels so cartoony compared to the other pre-wind waker games. and that opening, HOO WEE.

I always say the opening levels are by far the most important levels. and boy did LOZ 3 deliver in that respect.

When I heard the opening song to Final Fantasy X, I instantly wanted to play it even more.

Bayonetta. As soon as 'Fly Me to the Moon' kicked in I knew I was going to love the game. That damned song has been hammered into my skull far too many times...

God of War is the first that comes to mind.
And of course Kingdom Hearts!

Okami? I played for a little bit at a friends house...It was okay....

For me, I instantly fell in love with Jak 2, he was all badass and shit and I was young and easily impressed....

Kingdom Hearts.

I'm a sucker for Disney anyway, and holy crap, the Disney characters were BADASS in this (especially Mickey, Ariel, and Belle in the second one).

A lot of games, latest one being Persona 3: FES.
Loved it the moment I saw the opening.

The first BioShock.
The story, setting, and characters were all so well written! I couldn't help but love it.

Resident Evil 4 had me from the word 'go.' Portal and Knights of the Old Republic were similar, but they didn't grab me quite as hard or fast.
