Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Thank you for all the nerdgasms, Nintendo.

No More Heroes made me respect Suda51 and his developing team. He was arguably the first third-party developer who knew how to make an outstanding Wii game.

Day:1:Studios for a little known ps3 game called Fracture.
The amount of hours or programming it would have taken to allow players to terraform absolutely any piece of the map with either a hill or a ditch, would be insane.
It flopped, but i personally didn't mind the game.
Hats off to them.

Never played it.

Also Bioware for everything they have ever made, because they are Bioware.
You, sir, took the words from my mouth.

Also, Obsidian Entertainment for being a mini-Bioware and not shying away from that fact.

Peter Molyneux may be joked about now, but he's the same person who made the Dungeon Keeper series. Dungeon feaking Keeper.
And Populous.
And Theme Hospital.

"Hospital Administrator is cheat-ing!"

Interplay/Blackisle for Fallout & Fallout 2. Far superior to what Bethesda did to the series.

Any developer who can try something relatively new. Not the overdone genres such as overly Americanized shooters, a lot of which with overly grey/green/brown environments, or mini game compilations (which can be run on a flash engine to be fair).

Rockstar for the GTA series. They get so much hassle from the media because of parents terrified of their children becoming prostitute murdering druggies. Yet they persevere.

Because they still make millions from it.

Okay I changed my mind. Loads of people say Valve, but you can't fault them, so whatever, I'm going with Valve. They put so much effort into making their games the best they can be. All developers should do that.
