Warcraft 4 - the RTS
StarCraft Ghost - the third person stealth game. MGS in the Star Craft universe playing as Nova T__T
another Tenchu game - after the PS2 the series went downhill but Arkham Asylum is a hell of a good example of why this style of game still works
Breath of Fire 7/Wild Arms 6/Valkyria Chronicles 4/Skies of Arcadia 2 - stupid wRPGs and cell phones ruined everything

A new, better, Black & White. What the fuck happened to Black and White? I loved that game, mostly the second one.

They could have made it so much better, too. Better miracles, better ways to use influence, more things to do with your city- ugh, the potential. And it seems like nobody really remembers it any more.
Well that was more or less what Molyneux has been trying to do with Godus but so far it isn't looking good...

My vote goes to Spore. Not the spore we actually got, but the spore we all thought it was going to be before EA or whatever happened to it.
I think `a better Black & White` automatically excludes Peter Molyneux. I mean, yeah, he tries... but... no.

Also a new Dungeon Keeper, and Theme Hospital. God I miss Bullfrog.

Exactly what the title says, what's a game concept you'd love to see made, but due to reality you know will most likely never get made?

me personally I'd love to see an open world spiritual successor to Deadly Creatures, but I don't think I'll see it within my lifetime because last I checked Deadly Creatures didn't sell very well (due to being on the Wii only and thus overshadowed by Mario, Zelda, and any other first party titles on the system)

inb4 Silent Hills

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only person who remembers Deadly Creatures. I at least wished it had been ported to PC/PS3/360. It's too bad the Wii was getting shit on hard by Hardcore gamers by that point so the hardcore also missed the best Silent Hill game in the last decade; Shattered Memories.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a sequel to Elite Beat Agents. I don't own a WiiU but I think it could be doable on the WiiU touchscreen. I would prefer WiiU to a 3DS mostly due to the sound fidelity of a home TV.
I wouldn't mind Kentucky Route Zero on PC getting finished at some point but I think it's gone the route of Half Life 2 Ep3.

The dream I dreamed..
Maybe someday... Against all odds...

Setting aside sequels, I'd like something like Monster Hunter but a little less.. tedious? Maybe even more like regular hunting games but, you know, fantasy and fun.
I know I'd be more likely to get into Cabela's Big Game hunter if there was a random mystical creature at the end of the trail.

I wouldn't mind a KOTOR remake with Mass Effect style action combat. Could you even imagine how awesome that'd be? Like holy sith, the replay value between the shooting mechanics and lightsaber combat alone, if done properly, wouldn't even necessitate a good story (granted KOTOR already has that).

I guess really a mass effect style skill system mixed with something from say, Jedi Outcast.

Hm, let's see...

First: Brütal Legend 2 - Come on, get a good producer with loads of cash to control Schafer. Get Jack Black and a ton of heavy-metal legends and a few hundred awesome songs and let's do this.
I agree with this. While I wasn't the biggest fan of the RTS bits as they kind of felt shoehorned in, I overall loved the game.

And to add another Double Fine game into the mix, a sequel to Iron Brigade. Preferably one where you can get rid of your turrets and share scrap with other players among other changes. Although the last game I heard of from Double Fine was Costume Quest 2 and I never heard anything about the two games they made through Kickstarter so I don't know if they're ever working on something now.

I would also like to see a second Chromehounds game. This is mostly because the servers were shut down mere days before I could get my XBL account set up so I didn't get to experience like 85% of the game and have been told by others that the game was quote fun, adding to my regret.

Why hasn't anyone made a Zelda-style Star Wars game yet? Like, seriously, a Jedi doing the kind of things link usually gets up to is a pretty damn perfect fit. Plus, if one were to emulate the 3D games' combat, I think it'd make a solid Lightsaber dueling game of sorts, since the fights are often, but not always one-on-one and the L- or Z-Targeting has always worked well for that. Plus, one could learn more force powers along the way, much like Link's items. A spaceship could fill in the role of a mount/vehicle and since the Star Wars galaxy is huge one could have quite a lot to explore. Hell, space could be home to some Rogue Squadron-esque space battles. Why hasn't my Zelda in the Star Wars universe been made yet?

A new Dune RTS. But then again, with the renewed interest in Dune, it could always be possible.
There's renewed interest in Dune?!? *looks around excitedly* Where?!
Yeah, I wasn't really aware of this... unless he just meant in general, i.e. as a result of more interest in sci-fi as a whole and Dune's importance being gradually recognized.

Funnily enough though... I only just started playing Dune 2000 again, trying to finish the Harkonnen campaign that I remember never being able to finish because I was stuck on a particular mission.

Happyninja42 said:
I'd personally like to see a Dune stealther/sandbox game. Where you play as one of the Feydakin, and infiltrate various Harkonnen facilities and sabotage them. You even have to traverse the desert, and can call up worms to ride to travel the vast reaches of the deep wastes to the next location. Sort of like how Wind Waker or AC: Black Flag did with the ocean, but instead it's sand and SANDWORMS BABY!!. You can collect your enemies water as extra supplies for later to support your siech, work from region to region to try and reclaim the planet for The People. Damn I want that game to exist.
Sounds pretty interesting, I actually had some ideas a long time ago (just daydreaming really) for a Dune MMORPG or just single player RPG...
I was thinking that the concept of gholas actually mean that Dune would lend itself quite well to MMOs as far as giving a plausible explanation for respawning... and where WoW has gryphons/wyverns, Dune could have ornithopters ;D

Mind you, I kind of prefer playing AS Harkonnens :]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOxuQBe_cL8

Though I think Westwood did a really good job of bridging the gap between Atreides and Harkonnen with the Ordos. A sort of extreme neutral faction that's still interesting and thematically cool. Well, Chaotic Neutral at least...

Sometimes though, with the mixed-at-best results that adapting Dune to film/TV has got, and the obvious difficulties a book like Dune poses... I wonder if it might be better to make a film/series set in the Dune universe but not necessarily following any of the books. That way it could give a good feel for the universe without being chained to the impossible task of following the story of the books in a faithful way.
And anyway... after the first book or 2... I always feel like the emphasis on the actual events drops considerably and it's even more an excuse for Frank Herbert to discuss philosophy etc. than it was to begin with. As though I remember Dune having some action and story... but God Emperor feels like a complete mish-mash of abstract dialogue and stream-of-consciousness ideas bombarding the reader.

Another one I would like to see would be more of an idea, than a specific IP. Some game that is sort of city builder, but is a first person version, as well as a top-down builder. You can make the wide-scale plans on the big map, and then zoom down to control your leader directly, to watch the people building your structures. In my head, it's a fantasy game, and you could have magical powers of the elements, and if you chose to, you could use those powers to assist your people in building, instead of just fighting. Create earth to provide them a surplus of building materials that turn, making construction faster, or perhaps use earth magic to improve crops, or to bring in more water to stave off a drought. But in doing so, you are not using your powers for the potential warfront. So there is a tradeoff. Be the elemental badass general that sweeps his enemies away from him, or the kindly architect leader, who uses his powers to make his people's lives better.
Hmm... kinda reminds me of Tropico, crossed with maybe Populous the Beginning (both at least as far as having a representation of the player is concerned) and definitely Black and White (especially with the prayer power or w/e it was called for good/evil spells).

A sequel to Bloodborne made for ALL the consoles *I stare at Sony, burning through them with my glare*
Good luck getting the rights for that. If they were going to do it, they'd have to do something like taking all of the elements of Bloodborne, putting it into a slightly different world, and calling it Bloodbirthed.

And I just can't imagine them doing something like that.

I want another Final Fantasy game set in Ivalice. Between Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XII, I consider Ivalice to be one of Square's best attempts at world creation, and there is so much lore and fascinating geography in these games, and we barely scratch the surface on where you can go. Final Fantasy XII was perhaps the first time I felt sad that the series reinvents itself with every new game, I really want to play in this world again.

I still dream, late at night when there is just silence and memory, that Suikoden VI will come out. There are still so many stories to tell in that universe.
But alas, Konami decided to jump off a cliff, so...
I love Suikoden, particularly Suikoden II, I never got to play 5 but the others I enjoyed as well though I felt at times later in the series they tried too hard to shove in a lacklustre story at the expense of the gameplay and while I enjoy the lore of the series, Suikoden IV and Tactics story were very dull to me and couple that with the smaller party size of IV and the abysmal ocean traveling and I think that really hurt the series a lot. Still I wish Konami would just sell off all their IPs and die already so a more caring company can take over.

*takes a deep breath* a spyro game like the ps1 titles a crash bandicoot like the ps1 titles a new front mission rpg a new tombi/tomba game a new hogs of war game a new medievil game a new ape escape that isnt a spin off... and thats just from the ps1.
Never played the later Crash and Spyro games past the PS1 era but they were my true 3D Platformer favorites, and made me fall in love with that genre, I'd love to see more like that, just good clean platforming fun!

Tomba is also one of my all-time favorite sidescrollers, I call it a platforming RPG and I still to this day love playing it, I would love to see a new Tomba game, especially with the visual style of the original.

Arcanum of Steamworks and Magick Obscura 2. - I can't believe it's not been done yet?
Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2. - With less bugs ^^. Not that I ever really found any.
Beyond Good & Evil 2. - I heard it was being made a long time ago, but too different from the first one.
Freelancer 2. - Don't make it cockpit only, or online only.
I really hope someone does with the Troika games like they've done with either the Baldur's Gate or Shadowrun series of games, either an enhanced remaster that overhauls the UI and squashes the bugs, or a faithful successor that captures the charm of the classic. With the latest trend of successful CRPG kickstarters like Torment, Shroud of the Avatar, and Pillars of Eternity, I see Troika as being a good target for some remake love.

Ubisoft has claimed Beyond Good and Evil 2 has never been canned and is still creatively in the pipeline but I feel like no matter what form it takes once released it's been vaporware way too long to truly satisfy fans

I'd love to see another Freelancer or really any open world sandbox space sim that isn't focused on multiplayer.

A new Ogre Battle!
While I harbor no ill will for the Tactics Ogre entries in the franchise I'd love to see a return to form of the classic top-down maps and auto-resolved battles where victory was more about setting up squads, unit placement, and "divine intervention" via tarot cards.

Schafer has said he would love to go back, and Jack Black would probably be down for it too but the first cost like $25 million and "might be tricky" to raise or top that again.

Considering that Demon's Souls was a PS3 exclusive and was follwed up by Dark Souls being a multiplatform spiritual successor...

I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same type of thing for Bloodborne. (If you were being sarcastic, which seems possible rereading your post, sorry for wasting your time)

i pretty sure iv got the most "WHAT?" choice for a game i want made
i want Shadow the hedgehog 2 to be made and i want it to be a Hack and slash with a Devil May Cry/Bayonetta type combat
i think Shadows Chaos Control powers could make for an awesome and creative combat system

An actual Tomb Raider game, haven't had once since Underworld instead of how many men can a teenager kill cause lolgenderpolitics. I want many tombs around world with different atmospheres not a game made to appeal to armchair politics. Instead...

Star Wars Battlefront 3. Shame that wish is spoilt forever now :/ I don't know wtf is that game coming out soon, but I never asked for THAT. *shudders*

Space Marine 2. Isn't what I'd call one of the classics but was enjoyable enough and ended on a cliffhanger, a expanded sequel would have been nice but then THQ died.

Binary Domain 2. This was a fun enjoyable title, more please. Robots you can dismantle piece by piece made for fun enemies.

Hunted: Demons forge. Still one of the best coop games i've played.

Alpha Protocol 2: Seeing how PoE turned out, it makes me rue AP's lack of commercial success even more. I dunno how many share my sentiment but I really didn't enjoy PoE and put it with Wasteland2 as some of the more recent rpgs that have super disappointed me.

Tenchu: wicked games on the ps1/2, i'd like to see what a modern tenchu game would be able to do.
