I want a game like Mass Effect 2 but even more character-focused and with a self-contained narrative. Just have the main conflict be that a thingamajig is comitting genocide and only your team can stop that. Basically, fuck the plot.
A Psychonauts sequel would be awesome. A modern Zelda game that's more like Majoras Mask would be cool as well.

While I could probably think of things much cooler right now, I've always wanted a sequel to Bungee's "Oni", done well I think it would be awesome!

A proper Ghost in the Shell RPG in the vein of DeusEx.
I know we got DeusEx and might get Cyberpunk 2077. Still I would love to see something like DeusEx in the skin of Ghost in the Shell.

It will never happen.

A Command & Conquer sequel, or at least a remake by Petroglyph Games. I want a new Command & Conquer game so much that I even wrote my own design document for it complete with new units, new story, new characters and new factions. Please EA if you make a good Command & Conquer sequel/remake I will buy every single game you've released since C&C4 (F*CK THAT GAME!!!) that even remotely peaked my interest (which are Mass Effect 3, Dead Space 2, Shadows of the Damned and Dragon Age: Inquisition).

I'd like an mmo where the initial stuff developing the character's background was an offline single-player experience; essentially a replayable story generator that helps you get a feel for the way a build works and the way your choices effect your story, and then open up into the online play after a certain level/quest.

You could skip the offline play if you wanted, or you could choose to not go online (or play when you had no internet, such as after a move).

So? Star Citizen? Because that's what it's gonna be once it's finished. And yes it is getting finished, games take time to make especially games that are aiming to be as big as SC, delays will happen because not everything can be dome on time and we need to reserve our judgment and not get too hyped or too skeptical as a result.

A FO 3/NV style game set in Pinnacle Games "Deadlands" America. Described as "a spaghetti western with meat" I think it would make a kickass videogame. Or the actual Star Wars MMO I've always wanted since the days when it just would have been a cross of X-Wing/TIE Fighter and Dark Forces. Dock with an Imperial station, steal some shit, blast stormies on the way out, jump back in my ship and tearass out leaving scraps of TIE fighters strewn about space in my hyperspace wake.

Aside obvious 3rd entry of a dead franchise?

Game in the Planescape setting. Yes, i know Numenara, the "spiritual succesor" to Torment is being made, but i want to get back to Sigil again.

Oh, also: Thief RPG.

Many. New Dawn of War, black and white and jade empire have already being mentioned so other than those, I guess I could mention some hypothetical ones.

Call of duty game set on the side of axis. Shouldn't really be that hard write story for an average wermacht soldier who only is fighting for his country. But the boat CoD seems to have longs since specialized on multiplayer with a side of generic as fuck SP campaign, so I know this wont ever be seen, even if there weren't controversy issues.

Overlord game, without the tongue-in-cheek evil. Seems that evil setting is something game devs struggle to set without going either into comedy slap stick or full on baby eating. I'd like less foamy mouthed kill because I can and more kill because it will benefit me in the long run. Some RPG's with choice come close to this, but often it goes into aforementioned baby eating level. Still, I am hopeful of seeing something like this come up at some point looking at the rising popularity of villain protagonists.

I would also like to see a Platinum game on the Vita. Bayonetta, Revengeance, Korra, the upcoming tranformers game. Anything really. But it seems that bus has left the station :(

Another Gundam game with a quality like Journey to Jaburo but maybe set in the Wing series. I loved the hell out of the PS2 Journey to Jaburo and wished there were more like it.

Speaking of Gundam, would love another Battle Assault entry.

I like FTL, but it starts feeling a bit 'same-y' where you know what your plan is for the final boss depending on whether you find a Vulcan or a Flak Mk2 + beams. If there was a multiplayer mode then it would spice up the encounters, like an engi player disabling an opponent's offensive powers with ion shots whilst drones pick them apart, or multiple ship encounters, etc. I've never really looked into Sci-Fi MMOs, but if there was one that had space combat like FTL, as well as freely moving about your ship for onboard encounters and travelling down to planets for WoW-style questing, I'd probably take a free trial to see if it was good (as long as it wasn't something Star Wars).

A war game where you can play every side of the conflict and there's a realistic (high) amount of civilian casualties.
Either a shooter or shooter/rpg like fallout. Any conflict would be good, WW2 would be most epic and also controversial.

Even more bonus points if you go home after the war with PTSD, are ignored, and starve.

I am not anti war but I would like a game that shows in war there are only 2 rules.
1. Survive
2. Kill the enemy
Red Orchestra actually does this to some extent, depends on if you think about what you're doing or not (it's not that the game has story that explains this so it's not noticeable for everyone).

In Red Orchestra, you die, quickly, artillery strikes, enemy snipers, heck even the A.I if playing all show you how cruel war can be, sure you respawn but at least for me red orchestra made me realise just how quickly and needlessly people die in war.

examples:

1 "hurray I'm on the frontlines!!... what are these explo... -you died-" (artillery from your own commander serves best to illustrate this point)

2 have you played cod? do you think charging straight into an inconspicuous alley is a smart thing to do? -you died-

3 Ah, there's only 10 players on the enemy team, there's 30 of us, wait is that a ta... -you died- (30 soldiers infront of a tank with machinegun mount = a loss).

in Red Orchestra your comrades will scream and curse when they die.

The game is so unforgiving a lot of people stop playing because they don't think it's "fun".

Edit:

A proper pirate RPG or shipfighting game(rpg style) imagine combining Port Royal 2-3/Patrician with AC Black Flag and Pirates of The Burning Sea and then adding a whole layer of depth to gameplay and story.

Actually a Guns of Icarus gameplay style pirate game would also be good but it'd be very tough to get crews together to actually crew ships real-time for multiplayer.

A complete remaster of the Suffering would be amazing because it was one of the best horror videogames I have ever played but man are the graphics ever dated

A proper sequel to Fable 3 instead of the horseshit that Lionhead is planning to release or maybe a Fable prequel you know set during the Old Kingdom would also be amazing. A part of the reason I love the Fable series is that it has so much untapped potential but they will just probably keep fucking it up

F-Zero and X-Treme G. I would pleasure a dozen donkeys with my mouth for either or both.
Throw Burnout in there and you have a trifecta of racing games I'd kill for. [sub][sub][sub]Literally kill for...[/sub][/sub][/sub]

OT: I'd love to see a continuation of Freedom Fighters. More interconnected areas, more fleshed-out follower system, just ...more!

Also more Eternal Darkness. ...And System Shock. ...And Bulletstorm. Holy hell, so many abandoned franchises.

The use of soft-body physics in a well-made sandbox game.

It's not that it won't happen.
I just can't see it being done well.
All the focus would be put into the gimmick and no effort would go into actually making an interesting game.
I love toying around with soft-body physics, but I want to see it applied to an actual game], with actual goals...
