Hatred, remade by someone who can write.
An alternate history FPS where WW1 happens in 2014, with its multiplayer in MMOFPS style.
Spore, made with more time and thought. Being able to stay as microscopic or single celled organism, stay in the ocean and develop a civilization there, or take to the skies with a civilization of flying creatures. Be able to make a queen based species and take to the stars like that, etc.

So? Star Citizen? Because that's what it's gonna be once it's finished. And yes it is getting finished, games take time to make especially games that are aiming to be as big as SC, delays will happen because not everything can be dome on time and we need to reserve our judgment and not get too hyped or too skeptical as a result.
So, following the suggestion you make in this statement, I'll stay skeptical and reserve judgment. I've heard too many Molyneux and Cage promises to be sucked in before something tangible can be experienced. As of now, for me at least, Star Citizen is a concept that suckered a lot of people into preordering, nothing more.

For my part, I wait until a game is out and (as much as they are these days) finished before deciding if the game is delivering on all that was promised.

A good 3D/2D NextGen DBZ Budokai game that sticks to the main cannon, and trims the fat with its roster and maybe stick with its DBZ cannon instead of going to the movies, but also has its own story involving a massive create a character story mode that lets you have multiple endings depending on who you defeat & align with. [Also use of about 8 race options Human/ Saiyan/ Freeza Clan/ Namekian/ Djinn Wide/ Djinn Lean/ Demon Clan/ Kai Clan]

Ahem. Back on topic, I'd also like to see True Crime return to form. ...N-not that the two statements are connected. Heavens, no.

I'll second the "proper sequel to Sword of the Stars" (I didn't even like the look of SOTS2 that much. Sure, it had more polygons than SOTS1, but the overly shiny artstyle didn't appeal to me and god help your eyeballs if you didn't turn of the view-depth filter off.

But my biggest desire would be Sacrifice 2. I loved the first game, and would really like to see a sequel that polished up its mechanics further. I've heard Brutal Legend copied some of its mechanics, I guess I should get on that one sometime.

And thinking of Sacrifice and its terain-altering spells, I can think of a game I'd really like that isn't a sequel to anything existing: An open-world RPG a-la Skyrim where your magical powers grow to Dragonball-levels, where you can ultimately fry entire armies and topple mountains with your blasts. It might actually be doable these days with some smart programming and tradeoffs in other areas like graphical details. But that'd probably make it so expensive that no publisher would want to risk it.

Oh, and finally: A Mass Effect game with a large space-battle component (maybe they can swipe the assests from Star Citizen if those guys do go belly up). Apart from me liking space combat a whole lot more than third person shooting, I hope that giving the writers the freedom to create climaxes that don't need to be resolved by a three-man fireteam will prevent attrocities like the ME3 ending.

A Halo prequel based around being an Arbiter doing stealth missions akin to Halo 2[footnote]Screw the haters, the Arbiter missions are the best![/footnote], perhaps during The Grunt Rebellion or The Taming of the Hunters. With actual resources dedicated to the stealth beyond the bare minimum because we don't have to focus on the boring Humans.

Even if 343 Industries could give spotlight to the alien races they'd still find a way to fetish Humans and specifically SPARTANs... with glitchy gameplay, bleak aesthetics, inconsistent framerate and overuse of bloom.

Funnily enough, even with the game industry's 'cinematic gameplay' phase, they forgot to ape one of my favorite scenes from movies. The driving-while-fighting scene:

The hero/villain is driving away, and someone jumps onto their speeding vehicle, what comes next is a fight scene in, atop, and on the sides of said vehicle. Bonus points for someone shooting through the cabin hood at the pursuer, being thrown out of the driver's seat only to brawl their way back, or being stuck outside with the driver trying to pin them against something.

Sometimes results in a "Who's driving this thing?" moment. Don't try at home. Closed circuit. Professional drivers.
Only a few games have tried it at all, even then it's usually scripted. Except Gang Beasts, but there can never be enough when there's only one memorable one!

A game centered around that, mixed with a Nemesis System ("I'll throw you under the tire just like last time!") would be rad. Probably won't happen as I imagine the climbing and combat AND driving all at once would be hard to implement. Maybe as a weird turn based game? Better have real-time replay if so. [/ramble]

I am sad no one has mentioned a Super Mario Sunshine 2.

I want to see another .hack series of games, an RPG crossover game of fairy tale/nursery rhymes characters, and a game that deconstructs pacifist runs.

I'm still waiting for SSB Melee 2, even if it's not under the Smash Brothers name, but I know Nintendo have completely lost it.

Battlefield 2143, without a lot of the things started by the Bad Company games (EX: 3D Spotting).

A Spyro and Crash game that is a return to form of the old PS1 trilogies.

A Syphon Filter Remake

Jersey Devil 2 :*(

A better sequel to Fable The Lost Chapters that completely ignores every sequel after it.

Legacy of Kain 5 (Because that inconsistent piece of trash Blood Omen 2 doesn't count)

Duke Nukem Forever After AKA the non shit modernized Duke Nukem game that treats forever as a fever dream and is a celebration of shooters.

And last but not least. Not by a long shot. In fact why is it even down here?!
Tenchu. A sequel, a remake, something! I want to see my favorite stealth series given justice on modern hardware. I want to see Rikimaru, Ayame and Onikage back! I want bigger more expansive maps. More options with how to tackle missions. I want the supernatural story back! I WANT TENCHUUUU!!!!

A proper Ghost in the Shell RPG in the vein of DeusEx.
I know we got DeusEx and might get Cyberpunk 2077. Still I would love to see something like DeusEx in the skin of Ghost in the Shell.

It will never happen.
mm that sounds tasty. They'd have to get some pretty solid writers.

The dream I dreamed..

Setting aside sequels, I'd like something like Monster Hunter but a little less.. tedious? Maybe even more like regular hunting games but, you know, fantasy and fun.

The original Fallout 3, Van Buren. Though I hear they might be doing something with that and reinventing it as it's own thing? But eh, not going to count on that.

It was so close to coming out so I felt really cheated when it got cancelled.

I'm fond of Bethesda's Fallouts but I feel like I need the original 3 to put a close to Fallout as a CRPG series.

Hm, let's see...

First: Brütal Legend 2 - Come on, get a good producer with loads of cash to control Schafer. Get Jack Black and a ton of heavy-metal legends and a few hundred awesome songs and let's do this.

A "real" Spore would be nice too. (One where it MATTERS, how you build the creatures, with a WAY longer first/second phase. Just overall make it the amazing simulator everabody wanted it to be.

Also i agree with there needing a Supreme Commander 3. The first one was amazingly large and USED the damn RAM/Processor of a PC. I want to build an artillery to target the enemies energy-domed war-industry 40 kilometers away, while he builds a gigantic metal scorpion with a laser-tail.

A new, better, Black & White. What the fuck happened to Black and White? I loved that game, mostly the second one.

They could have made it so much better, too. Better miracles, better ways to use influence, more things to do with your city- ugh, the potential. And it seems like nobody really remembers it any more.
Well that was more or less what Molyneux has been trying to do with Godus but so far it isn't looking good...

My vote goes to Spore. Not the spore we actually got, but the spore we all thought it was going to be before EA or whatever happened to it.
