The "Fade" section of Dragon Age: Origins. It takes FOREVER and it's just so boring.
I don't mind the fade section too much, it at least mixes things up a little. Its the Deep Roads I just give up on. Actually have a few play throughs where I finished all the story up to the deep roads then just stopped playing as I hated most of the Dwarf part of that game.

Like others, I am gonna say Oblivion however this one part is more of a feature. Back in the day I tend to forget the flaws of the game and only remember the vast world, lots of quests, places to explore and repeating the dark brotherhood would be a thrill.

However as soon as I start playing, the combat system shits me. So boring and placid. In addition the quests become old too fast etc. The flaws and boring bits of the game is too much for me to ever consider continuing.

However now that I have Skyrim, that's not a issue :)

An older game for PS2, Rune Viking warlord, it was really fun, right up to the point where there's a Giant Fish enemy, one of my fears!

Oh and Serious Sam the 1st encounter, right up to the sewer level, because there are fish enemies!!! I don't know why but fish enemies are a big fear for me, it's strange...

I LOVE Knights of the Old Republic. I generally play it about once a year. Or at least, I'd like to. The problem for me is right in the beginning. Taris. I hate Taris so much. The game is fuck-all boring at that point when you're going through it for a second time.
I've played the intro of both games about 10 times each. But yeah, it is freaking horrible.

I got the Keep Off the Sand achievement, so now I can just go 'that way' really fast. But it is a very annoying part of the game. Also parts of Ravenholm are ugly.

I was just on the verge of liking Titan Quest (uh, they say its like Diablo?), when the distance between checkpoints got waaay too long. So maybe that doesn't count since I may never install it again.

I really hate to say this, but Fallout 3.
I want to love it. It should be a good game, but after the first few days I forget what I'm trying to do and lose interest.

Also: the boss fights in Painkiller are all pretty brutal - especially the darn collapsing tower

The fade in DA:O.
Irenicus Dungeon in BG2.
Taris in KOTOR.
Telos in KOTOR2.
The long walking section in Arkham Asylum.
The annoying hoverboat level in Half Life 2.

And the entire first bit of Wind Waker, the stealth castle. And sailing around makes me quite bored. And the bit where you have to freeze the volcano and it it timed so you can get the item you need to unlock one of the next two dungeons :(

The beginning of any Pokemon game. I start a new game, then five minutes later I turn the game off because I've done it so many times.

Hmm .. this one will stump most of the young `uns here.

Death Knights of Krynn.

The fucking fight against fucking Lord Soth and his fucking Death Knights in the fucking castle at the fucking end. My party of 6 valiant heroes, all nice and wedged against a wall, find themselves bombarded by 6 insta-cast delayed blast fireballs in the first round. No, not halfway through the first round. BANG. Fight begins ... fireball .. fireball .. fireball .. fireball .. fireball .. fireball ..

... If you're familiar with old school AD&D (ie before it tried to emulate World of Mother Fucking Warcraft), you'll know these bastards do 8d6 HP damage and are pretty much auto hit. It'd be like fighting the Daedra Prince at the end of Oblivion - without the help of, you know, a fucking GOD.

Bioshock, I really despise the complicated hacking mini-games; the ones in Bioshock 2 are much easier and nicer.

The railshooter pasrt of Jak II where you have to shoot down the Guard bots and the eco ship.

One playthrough it's easy, the next it's near impossible. Gr.

What are some games you want play again until you remember "that one part" that's so bad it ruins the entire game?
Assassin's Creed. The first one.
And "that one part" is the unskippable cutscenes that I absolutely must endure every single time I start the game to go back and do sidemissions or collect flags.

Dark Souls. I love the game (My favorite of the year) but Lost Izalith just sucks... Either have to grind for 30 humanity to skip it, or have go through an extremely tedious and boring level.

That's the very same reason I stopped playing it when I first tried it.

Started as a mage... origin story boring as hell... Ostagar, boring as hell... turned off console. I've since started again as a warrior and got past Ostagar and now the whole thing is a lot more compelling.

OT: My choice would be Star Fox Adventures. It's actually a pretty decent adventure game... until you remember the test of fear and the on rails shooter sections... urgh!

Oh, also the Library in Halo: CE and the Arbiter levels in Halo 2, they are the most common, "Right I'm bored now" moments for me.
