I won't buy any game that's based off of a movie. Though that's less to do with protest and more to do with the fact that they pretty much always suck.

I don't refuse to buy games "out of protest". That's dumb. If I want to play it, I buy it. If I don't, I don't. Simple as that.
But to be honest, most of these posts seem to have missed the point anyway. People "refusing" to buy the next Fable/AC/CoD/Madden/etc. game because the last one sucked? How is that a "protest"? I call it "I don't want to play the next one because the last one sucked". It'd be a protest if I really wanted to play the next one but refused to buy it anyway. The only game I have refused to buy out of protest/principle was Portal 2.
Not because the first one was bad, hell no, it was seven colours of awesome. But simply because it felt extremely unnecessary and was just made to appease fanboys, which I find a very bad reason to continue something that was obviously over and done with.

I'm sick of games set in a post apocalyptic wasteland but new vegas is set in the desert...so its set in the wasteland of the wasteland...fucking hell?! Really? A wasteland is bad enough but a wasteland desert? how would you fucking even tell the difference?
I'd been impressed that if the climate shift from all the nukes turned the desert into a radioactive but lush jungle.
think about fallout but set in the toxic jungle from Nuastica and the Valley of the wind (or Warriors of the Wind if your old like me). That would be sweet!

I'm not buying anything from Bioware anymore. Blame EA all you want, but a lot of design decisions and bullshit PR were Bioware's own fault. They deserve to be criticized.
I play games 99% for single-player. So if a game has a short campaign (like most FPSs), it's not going to be sucking on my fat and dirty dollar. Expanding MP and giving us short single-player campaigns is a clear way of saving money by making gamers essentially generate their own content. It's bollocks.
Bioware, there basically trying to either degrade the genre or say how irrelevant Rpgs are when thats far from the truth. There just idiots thats all, maybe they dont understand simple logic. Then again thats any western Rpg developer.......
Western rpgs suck now man.... JRPGS fo life, theres no shortage of masterpeices there. Unless you import like me you dont even get to see half of what japan has to offer in JRPGS. Such a diverse genre, the western counterpart though? ehh...

I very much disagree with the monthly subscription model to gaming, but SWTOR still turned out to be a purchase. It just goes to show that if the quality of a product is high enough in my eyes, it can overcome some of my major objections.
That said, it will be extremely difficult for me to buy into the Wii U. The Wii was hardly a bad system...but even the best of it's titles struggled with fluid perfect control that Nintendo was known for in prior generations. Unless the Wii U can bring back the days of great control along side their already great games, it is probable that the big N will lose me as a customer.

Pretty much the only one that I'll never buy again is Call of Duty. I bought MW3 on PC because a friend who lives out of state wanted me to get it to play with him, but IT SUCKS. The multiplayer is so full of hackers and modders and its no fun to die every five seconds by a guy flying through the air using aimbot and able to shoot through walls.
