Fallout New vegas.

I'm sick of games set in a post apocalyptic wasteland but new vegas is set in the desert...so its set in the wasteland of the wasteland...fucking hell?! Really? A wasteland is bad enough but a wasteland desert? how would you fucking even tell the difference?

I'd been impressed that if the climate shift from all the nukes turned the desert into a radioactive but lush jungle.

think about fallout but set in the toxic jungle from Nuastica and the Valley of the wind (or Warriors of the Wind if your old like me). That would be sweet!
I respect your opinion and all and I agree that a Fallout set in the jungle could be pretty sweet, but I think you're missing out a bit by not playing New Vegas. It is actually a really good RPG and it's way better than Fallout 3 in my opinion.

Anything remotely connected to Ubisoft. (DRM/Stance on piracy)
Anything remotely connected to ActivisionBlizzard. (D3 looks horrible, SC2 was a massive let down, DRM, Real Money integrations)
Anything remotely connected to Origin. (this should be obvious)

After the disgusting over hyping and under delivering of Skyrim, Bethesda is || close to joining the others.

I don't understand why some people have a problem with a stance like this, it is literally the only way we can show the companies how we feel about their practices.

Edit: Forgot SW:TOR. Ive played every major MMO release in NA and I simply don't have low enough standards to pay a sub for more generic run of the mill garbage. If I want good SW stories ill get the books or buy a single player game.

Things published by EA. And Ubisoft. DRM needs to die plain and simple. I might like their games but what they're doing is borderline criminal and it has to stop

Same here. I love that kind of Metroidvania style game too, but knowing I'm (even minutely) supporting such a horrific, bastard of a person makes me completely unwilling to purchase it.
Isn't Orson Scott Card a raging homophobic prick?

Don't buy in to the stupid hype on that game. Bully is a wonderfull game , it's basicly The Catcher in the Rye the video game, you should at least give it a shot.

May I ask whats so bad about Orson Scott Card? I don't really know much about him other than he wrote Ender's Game, so I'm kinda curious about what makes him evil enough to boycott a game that you may actually like.

EDIT:

if that's the answer then I completely understand. Continue boycotting.

There are no AAA-titles that I wouldn't play out of protest. If I'm interested in the game, then I'll probably get it at some point. Shovelware, on the other hand, is a horrible terrible blight on gaming, especially on motion controls. I will not buy these games for myself or anyone else, and even if they were available to me at a friend's place, I would refuse to play them. If the Wii, Kinect, and Move weren't bogged down with all the crap, I feel like they would get attract serious development teams, and something interesting might actually come out of them.

I only refuse to buy games if they're bad games, or if I don't want them.

Seems like the most logical thing to me.

Pretty much anything EA makes. I hate hate HATE the image they put out, and the fact that they're such a huge and popular company makes things worse. Their marketing makes it seem as though everyone who plays video games is just a massive man-child douche. Add to that the fact that their DRM and customer service is some of the worst in the industry, and it's no surprise that I hate them so much.

Simply because it's not Dante. Seriously, he's an alternate reality clone or something! Not to mention the emo haircut, he smokes and he doesn't even sound or act like him. The gameplay does look pretty good and pretty but thats all they're getting out of me. Buy the HD remakes. You'll enjoy them much more than this poor excuse for a sequal reboot prequal alternate universe outsourcing of a mess.
I'm going to have to disagree here. The main thing about Dante, at least for me, is that the man got swagger. Everything he does is showy and over the top, and I think they've reflected it well with this younger Dante. Plus, plenty of people smoke in their teens and give it up later, I don't really see why the smoking is an issue. Although maybe I'm missing something. I've played and enjoyed the DMC series, but I'm not well read on the series beyond what's given in the games.

OT: I don't really refuse to buy games out of protest. I'll not buy a game if I can't afford to or if I think I won't enjoy it, but I pay little attention to what publisher/developer/series it's from beyond the occasional "Oh, I recognize that name, I (dis)liked other stuff they did, I'll (not) check it out".

Call of Duty, it's just so sad seeing a game that doesn't do anything for the sequels get so popular.

Anything Final Fantasy or Devil May Cry-related

Most things by Nintendo, this whole attitude that they can shamelessly recycle the same few properties ad nauseum is lazy and deplorable.

Anything CoD. I liked Modern Warfare, then gave the second one a chance and didn't finish once I realized it was totally unchanged, then same thing with Black Ops. I'm done.

Anything with turn-based combat, because that is ridiculous.

Anything with motion controls.

Any wrestling or team-sports title that goes largely unchanged from year to year.

That should just about cover it.

What's wrong with Origin? I'm not arguing, I just don't know.

No more Fable for me. Peter Molyneux ruined a perfectly fine RPG and turned it into a action-adventure.

Fable 1 was a wonderful RPG with an interesting premise about living the life of a warrior, mage, and archer. The character development in terms of physical properties is something impressive, even to this day.

Fable 2 was a good action-adventure game with most of the RPG elements from Fable 1 but had very little character developement. It focused more around the idea of morality instead actual play styles of melee, magic, and archery.

Fable 3 was a linear action game with little to no RPG elements. It was short, anti-climactic, and easy to beat. Not a single health potion is neccessary throughout the entire journey. This entry had an even stronger grip of the morality sytem and forced you to make choices that would affect the game world drastically, and these changes are minimal at best. I've never been so dissapointed in a game in all my life.

And now he plans to make a kinect title all about magic and carriage races? No, I just give up.

Rant over.
I was going to say nothing, and also remark that Ezio and Altair in AC weren't run into the ground in my opinion. Revelations has been their last game, i think and I liked the story. But FABLE! ARGH! Unless this game gets released and turns out to be full on godly epic, then I'm not touching it. The next Fable game probably won't even let you choose where to walk...

Any game by EA. This is less out of prinicple and more out of Origin not being worth putting up with, not even for ME3. The only recent game that doesn't require it I just don't have any interest in whatsoever.

Pretty much this, except unfortunately I buy the games I THINK I'll like and not the ones I don't think I'll like.

I've bought a few awful games...

The only game I am boycotting is Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3. Mostly because 3 was just such a disappointment, and then they released the real version half a year later. If I do buy it, it will be used and for cheap.
I also am debating only buying the Dead Space series used, because of petty reasons about how online pass works.
