Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents under pressure.

It had a good concept, good sound track, slightly ok graphics and kind of annoying controls.
However I feel it could be made into a good next gen sequel.

A proper KotOR 3 would be nice. SWTOR looks like it might blur the lines between traditional RPG and MMO, and I look forward to exploring a larger world, but I doubt the storyline and characters will really hold up compared to what a true single player RPG can pull off.

Fallout 2

That's the only one I can think of. Generally I dislike sequels because I already have the original game and if I want to play that then I'll play that, I don't want another game that gives me the same thing.
In case you really didn't know, there has been a sequel to Fallout 2, called Fallout 3 by Bethesda.
You know, I honestly forgot about that.

Besides it's not really a sequel because it has different gameplay, different design philosophy, different setting and different characters.
Fallout 3 gives you exactly what you say you want: something entirely different. It is a sequel and it is as good as the original two Fallouts.

OT: Every single time this thread comes up, I say the same thing. Hogs of War. Damn, that game was awesome, I really just want an upgraded version of thr original. Better graphics and better gameplay is all, come up with a new story and keep the same sort of items and I will die a happy man.

perhaps Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines.
So very much this. I'd prefer it not to be a direct sequel (though that could be a lot of fun), but in the same setting. If a company were to announce a Vampire: The Masquerade game I'd preorder it right away.

Shining Force and Suikoden both need new direct sequels.

...although, a quick look through my posts probably would have told you that anyway

Psychonauts and the Bard's Tale. The first one because fuck you cliffhangers, and the second one because given a bit more polishing, a the Bard's Tale could be even more awesome than it already is.

Sacrifice, Psychonauts, Baldur's Gate (there should be more of that awesomeness in the world),Icewind Dale (again the world could use more of Blackisle's stuff), Startopia, Darksiders, C&C Renagade, Trine and I can't think of any others right now but I'm sure there are more

So I was recently going through my game collection and I came across an old game that I used to play back before the ps3 came out. It was called Dark Cloud 2. I remember reading somewhere about a Dark Cloud 3 coming out, but that was way back and I haven't heard anything about one since. Other games I would like to see have at least 1 more sequel:

Darksiders (not sure if there is or isn't going to be one, so I put it on here)
Fate (No more xpacs!)
Okami
Mark of Kri
Bard's Tale

So, fellow escapists, how about you?
(also, very sorry if there was already a topic like this)
Okami's sequel Okamiden (it's on the DS) just recently came out.
I remember reading elsewhere that work on Darksiders 2 is in progress. (EDIT: According to Wikipedia [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darksiders], it's confirmed for 2013)

For me?
I really wish there was more news on the Beyond Good and Evil trilogy.
Hopefully the arcade version stirs up enough interest to get things rolling again.

OT: KOTOR - KOTOR 2 didn't do it justice because of the glaringly unfinished state of the game; still I enjoyed it, just not as much as I could have. That said, KOTOR 2 kinda should have had a sequel to explain what happens next...
Really though, KOTOR didn't need a sequel; the plot was concluded; a sequel should have either been a prequel, explaining why the events of KOTOR 1 happened or alternatively set much later with less connection to the first.
I really enjoyed KOTOR 2, despite it's flaws. I thought it was a really good middle game (let down badly in some places, but overall) that set the scene perfectly for an epic concluding third installment.

So I'm going to be predictable and say I WANT KOTOR 3. Don't give me any of that Old Republic bs :(.

Ok maybe there's one game that I'd like to see a sequel to.

inb4 Crackdown 2 (actually, i'm pretty sure i'm of a VERY small minority that wants it.)

i would love to see Crackdown 3 set somewhere else. An exotic location (instead of an urban one) would be refreshing for a series like crackdown. definitely i'd love to see better characterization, more brutal and visceral violence, as well as more realistic looking civilians to make the city (or location) come to life

BRUTAL LEGEND

It wasn't the best game ever (though I liked it a lot) but it had so much potential and deserved one, something I rarely think about other games that receive sequels.

I can think of others, but if I had to pick one I would pick that.
Ninja'd. But I'd like to add that it be more hack'n'slash and less RTS. The first half of the game was awesome, but once you did the first stage battle, it seemed to be all stage battles and escort missions to the next stage battle after that. Or at least add more into it between the stage battles...

I didn't mind the stage battles after I got used to them, but they did a poor job teaching it to you and the controls didn't feel right. So I wish them to stay if they were implemented really well and have plenty of variety for other things, especially the hacking which is what you did most of the time anyway.
