super smash brothers brawl
Glad someone mentioned this disgrace to gaming. Talk about destroying the series, they slowed it down till you look like you float in the air, added in random tripping and to top it off, they made it nearly impossible to combo with most characters. WTF were they thinking?!!

Lunar: Dragon Story for the DS was a disappointment. I'm a big fan of the Lunar universe, and when I had to deal with the crappy game mechanics, it was like someone had slapped me in the face.

DBZ Burst Limit

I tried so hard to like that game... it just wasn't happening. Dragonball Raging Blast looks even worse.
Ya true that I'll stick with DBZBT3 I love that game too bad mine broke :(

I haven't played Darkest of Days, but a preview I read made it sound like Timesplitters with Ben-Hurish scope. Just looking at an actual screenshot makes me nearly cringe, though.

Wet could have been alot more fun. I mean, I even enjoyed the demo.

Mirror's Edge could have been excellant if they had less freaking guns that you almost need to use.

I desperately tried to love GTA 4, but it was so shallow in terms of actual shit to do that I couldn't.

And Red Faction Guerrilla. Have an option to respawn structures, that would have alleviated so many complaints I have about the game.

I loved StarFox64 like a father loves his child, and StarFox Adventures broke my heart. I remember playing through the whole thing, wanting to like it, powered by fanboy fervor, and then as the credits rolled up at the end, I had the moment of epiphany..."That was terrible."
This. I wouldn't say it was terrible but I followed that game from its genesis as an N64 game and I willed it to be good with every bone in my body. Then I found out it was to be Rare's last Nintendo game (the Cube was the only console I owned that generation) and my expectations doubled. It ended up a sub-par Zelda clone, right down to the four-note chime when you find an item. It's far from a horrible game, but never has a game so hideously failed to live up to the hype.

Any recent sonic game. I bought some of them because I thought the designers couldn't possibly NOT get better after their failures.

I was wrong. They suck.

Except for sonic chronicles, that was actually pretty good, but that's probably just because of bioware.

Stormrise. It could have been so cool if they had just abandoned that stupid whip-select BS and actually finished the game before release...

Just Cause.
It had one or two absolutely stellar mechanics which would have felt great anywhere else, but it was all brought down by a really horrid freeroaming world (filled with trees and such, great for cutting a car chase down to just: *CRAASSSSH*

Mercenaries 2. The first one was excellent. But 2 seemed like it was really rushed out the door.

Assassin's Creed, Alone in the Dark, and Twisted Metal: Head On.

To qualify this:
Assassin's Creed has shitty missions and shitty combat, though fun movement and a cool environment.

Alone in the Dark. 'nuff said.

Twisted Metal: Head On felt like a step backward after TM: Black, and no matter what its fanbase says, that's not changing for me.
