Legend of Zelda, so there would be a million Links riding a million Eponas everywhere, followed by a million Navis.
Oh god a million navi's? Thats the stuff of nightmares.
*twitch* i think i just had a mini-stroke at the thought of that. Part of me died.

I could just imagine masses of people reaching a part where navi had something to say & then

OT: Pokemon Fully 3D & MMO would be good. As well as X3

I think that Bioshock takes the cake. Just imagine: you play as a Splicer, shooting and using plasmids on your opposition, hacking turrets and sentry bots, getting a team of splicers to take down a big daddy and split the Adam. Capture the Flag with a Little Sister, or see what side can harvest or rescue the most little sisters. Just when the opposing team thinks they have you beaten with a hypnotized big daddy, you lure the other team into the range of 3 security bots and a sentry, surrounded with proximity mines. Or even an endless survival mode with wave after wave of splicers, half enraged and fighting amongst themselves, bees flying all over the place amongst the hail of security systems lead, all while a big daddy mows down all opposition in its path. Absolutely amazing.

Elder Scrolls, Definetely, Although there is rumours the fifth in the series will actually be a MMORPG, but that is only rumours as far as i know, can anyone confirm this?
The guy was misquoted, they cleared this up. No Elder Scrolls MMO, and they're still going along with the series.
Awww :(
I take it as good news. If I remember correctly the rumor was that they weren't going to continue with the series at all, and just work on an MMO. So no Elder Scrolls anymore. Good news that's not happening, right?

none realy oblivion wouldn't be good on-line because then it would just be like wow
Not really, they would simply just have to extend the leveling curve (Make stats go into the thousands instead of hundreds) make athletics level only when you actually move (So no running against a building in town for years on end) add in the enemies from morrowind, daggerfall, arena, battlespire, redguard, and eye of argonia (Ann unreleased game) as well as drawn in a few more of their lore creatures, make a much larger and CPU friendly landmass, bring back teleportation services and remove quick travel, make cities safe zones for players (Or simply make guards stronger) make a "You did the most % damage to said creature, you loot it!" system, bring back all the items and armor they had before in morrowind and daggerfall, allow players a "Logically explained" respawn on death and make looting limited to level and value (IE a level 1, the only loot you would see is a loaf of bread, while killing a level 1000 player would let you take his tasty daedric Tanto) add in a penalty for player killing (To prevent level 1000s from just going on a rampage without consequence) and boom, it's an MMO with Oblivion style gameplay, while taking ideas from a still we played MMO "Ultima Online"
well then that wouldn't be oblivion and i think it would be shit because i don't like mmos
And this right here kids is what you don't want to be when you get older! A purist!

It would be oblivion, it would have oblivion gameplay, oblivion leveling system (Just one that doesnt let you be a master of everything by level 30) elder scrolls lore, elder scrollsitems, elder scrolls creatures and races, elder scrolls everything. You're just mad I pointed out you could easily make the game an MMO so you drop to the lowest point of a escapism debate :p "Well I still don't like (Escapism here) so it doesn't matter!"

I was just playing that yesterday - Skyscraper District is monstrously hard. It hasn't dated.

Why has not one of you said timesplitters, seriously the timesplitters series has the most epic local multiplayer so imagine how amazing it would be online.
Didn't Timesplitters Future Perfect (The third one for those who don't know) have online on xbox live? I didn't have xbox live then so I don't know much about that. And whatever happened to timesplitters four?

No Oblivion multiplayer. An oblivion MMO would suck major ass! An arena thing would be cool but very unbalanced.

Leave TES to its off line glory
I respectfully disagree. While I have no doubt that an MMO treatment would ruin the play, I think small private servers would add a lot. Imagine a Bethesda-sized world with, say, 20 or so players all statring in different areas. Introduce level caps and minimums, add some high end dungeons and lairs, I think it would be great fun. This idea applies to Fallout 3 as well. Exploration with a friend or 2 would add so much playability.
I know there's a mod that lets you play Oblivion online, but I've no idea how it works, or if it even works, but I know it exists.

I agree with every one else rpg's beg for co-op and to test your character build against your friends. Mass Effect, Fallout's, Kotor. I think the elder scrolls games would be the best. One guy distracts some one while you rob them blind.

I love Mass Effect, but I don't think I'ld want to be someone else's follower. It gives me episodes from attempting Fable 2's co op. You can't really have 4 shepards, that doesn't make sense. The conversation tree idea would also be moot. I'd honestly prefer something like a super Mario Galaxy co op.

Metroid Prime 3. Hunters was surprisingly good online, so it was disappointing to not have it in Prime 3.

Any of the Hitman games, Fallout 3 and TES IV. Pretty much what every one has said really.
