That's the only series I'm sick of hearing about. It just had to come yearly with most of the same problems so I just have to hear that shit over and over, as well as it being advertised fucking everywhere! And the worst part is hearing my brother playing it all the time and complaining how broken it is. It's a fucking disease.porous_shield said:COD, in any iteration. I'm sick of games being compared to it and I'm sick of hearing about their yearly instalments. I'm stick of hearing about new map packs and everything else to do with the game.
I agree about not remaking FF7: It's a good game, but it wasn't the best game ever made and we still have the old one there so i see no reason to rush a remake out. KH 3...i would like it but i don't see a rush for it, what i WOULD like is for them to release some of their portable KH games on PS3 or something though and have them make up their mind on which consoles they're going to actually put the series on.FFP2 said:All the so called Final Fantasy fans that whine in every Square Enix related thing to remake FF7 and release Versus 13 and KH3... I think SE is scared of having a DNF situation... And I'm kinda jealous that it's a PS3 exclusive.Infernai said:Well...I'm gonna jump on the Dark souls bandwagon. I respect it for what it's trying to do and for some of it's gameplay mechanics but, overall it's just kind of clunky and it isn't so much difficult as it is akin to beating your head against a brick wall until the wall breaks. Plus, whoever made the Capra Demon boss fight needs to be forced to play through the game as a deprived with only the starting equipment.
I ultimately do think these guys could make a good berserk game if they refined everything a bit more.

I disagree on Versus 13: That game could literally sell like hotcakes and all Enix seems to be doing is fucking around with us about it. What we've seen looks awesome and like a more interesting experience then the actual Final Fantasy 13 and yet Enix doesn't seem to want to release a game that will sell like crazy. It wouldn't be so bad if they actually kept us updated about it, but they don't...they seem to just forget the game exists and seem to be hoping we do too.
And FF13 was too linear.
Ha. This. If I see one more thread about an easy mode...Nomanslander said:Funny enough, I've gotten tired of talking about Dark Souls. I love the game and all, but that doesn't mean you can't get tired of hearing or talking about it.![]()
Exactly. I really enjoyed the game, but I still get annoyed with all the people acting so smug about it. Personally, I am far more impressed with someone that beat Ghost and Ghouls or Ikaruga than I am with someone that beat Dark Souls. Anyone can beat Dark Souls if they grind enough and are patient.Nomanslander said:Funny enough, I've gotten tired of talking about Dark Souls. I'm with you. I think it is brilliant, one of my favorite games in years, but I know so many people that love the game (even my brother), I'm just tired of reading or talking about it.Nomanslander said:Funny enough, I've gotten tired of talking about Dark Souls. Nanako is too much, probably the most ridiculously perfect girl in gaming. More lovely than a Togepi, more responsible than most adults. It's the most cheapest emotional trick in a game with otherwise good characters and storytelling... and you know what scene I'm talking about! It's the very best example of annoying, unlikable child character, and the game is so long that the forced existence of the oh-so-cute-adorable-girl-always-doing-cute-adorable-things becomes increasingly obvious. The Wykydtron said:It doesn't help that I DESPISE child characters. Even you Clem. They're almost always cheap exploitable emotional gateways, Oh no guys, the children are in danger! Get out your inate parental instincts and review our game as emotionally engaging!
I know some aren't supposed to be written like that but that is always how I interpret them. The one and only exception is Nanako in Persona 4, even then it took me about 30 hours to get properly attached to her.
You're pretty amazing. I died 97 times in my first playthrough (damn you, Maneater) and I want to believe that I'm not that bad.imahobbit4062 said:I came into this thread pretty much to type this, specially the part about Dark Souls difficulty.Rawne1980 said:Call of Duty.
On one side, you have the fans. One the other side, you have "CoD must die" brigade.
In the middle, you have the rest of us who just don't give a fuck. It's one of those games that seems to be talked about everywhere I go on the old internet. It's an average shooter with a popular multiplayer, that's all the conversation it needs.
It's not so much the conversations about Dark Souls that irritates me it's the fans.
"Dark Souls is a hard game".
No, no it isn't. It's a game that punishes you for making a mistake. It's a game that wants you to grind.
Once upon a time nearly every game we had was like that.
But it's the talk of easy mode that gets annoying. The hard mode is still there so IT MEANS FUCKING NOTHING. Get over it for fucks sake.
"But we want to feel superior because we like it HAAAAAARD".
That doesn't make you superior and constantly bleating on about it makes you a dick.
What really grinds me about it though, are people who use the excuse as "we don't want the developers catering to those casual fucks, it'll ruin the very essence of what makes the series so good" and yet, have never even played Demon's Souls.
Demon's Souls was the same, being touted as the fucking hardest thing ever on the internet. I'm not the greatest gamer ever but I only ever died three times on that game, twice during one boss. It is not a hard game, neither is the sequel. They're both grindfests that are catered to people who think ahead. Not people who love to cut their wrists and talk about how fucking hardcore they are when they get analed by the Capra Demon for the 50th time.
