I gave Fallout 3 three chances. Still didn't like it.
I love New Vegas, though.

Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen

The first time I played it I didn't have a FAQ or a manual or anything and I was really unprepared for the depth of the game. I missed most of the special characters and didn't properly develop the ones I had. The game got boring and I quit after level 8 or so.

This time I've gone to gamefaqs and I'm finding the game to be a lot more fun. I highly recommend getting all 18 special characters. It adds spice.

I'm giving Morrowind a second chance. Still don't like it, but it's better than the last time I played it.

Also I gave American McGee's Alice and Silent Hill 4 a second chance. I liked them!

I suppose it's time to reinstall Fallout 3 and give it one last chance.

However this time I may have to murder everyone in Vault 101 before I leave, in revenge for me having to trudge through the opening sequence again. Just the thought of having to suffer the birthday party again is almost enough to put me off revisiting that game.
I loved the opening seaquence and going through your life in Vault101, it really draws you in and makes it more emotional when you have to leave....anyway each to their own

well...mabye I could retry the witcher.....

old lady: WHHAAAAT??? you drunk!!!
Geralt: (creepy monotone) not trooooooooo

no, no I don't think so

thats interesting, alot of people seem to think NV is just more of that same, personally I think they Improved alot of the flaws from fallout 3 which is already an awsome game though it does have its flaws which may be why you didn't like it

I Played Modern Warfare 2, a game I hate yesterday for the first time since May probably. I had a lot of fun and remembered why I used to enjoy it, minus everyone ever doing point blank quickscopes because they can't snipe. It's weird that I want to play it more.

I'm giving oblivion a second chance, the last time I played it I thought it was poorly designed and boring as hell.
But, I have a huge hard on for fantasy RPGs and the details that have been dropped about Skyrim are really seeming tempting.
I'm willing to give the series another chance to impress me.

Good

At this moment, Im giving The witcher another try. Played it back in 07 or 08 or whenever it was it came out and was very very much turned off and lost interest in it.

Im not even sure why I lost interest. I think it was a combination of it being entirely too focused on sex and my best friend constantly calling the game "The Bitcher" as he couldnt stand Geralts frequent use of the word bastard. (though I still havent heard it)

Honestly, Im glad I have, The game in retrospect has been more enjoyable to me, and its hard for me not to draw the comparison, but I am starting to feel that its better to me than Dragon Age was. (Not saying it is, but it has me more engaged at equal points in the story... Only the rest of the story will let me pass such determination)

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

I essentially played it on a time limit, since I started it two weeks before my new semester of school began. This essentially led to me playing it nonstop for a couple days, in an (unsuccessful) attempt to finish it, due to the fact that The Old Republic is coming out soon, and I wanted to play this game before the MMO spoiled its plot.

But, I played it so much, that I ended up getting sick of it. I finished Dantooine, and couldn't bring myself to play it again. It's a shame, because I didn't even get to the "OMG PLOT TWIST" that everybody raves about. Still, it seems like an awesome game, and I'm going to give it another shot in about a month. Though it'll be mildly annoying to play through all of that content again, regardless of how fun it is.

And then I'll have to give myself a time limit to finish KotOR II before The Old Republic comes out. :p

Pee.... Sea?

I'm sorry, but you're not even speaking English at this point.

I honestly never really played it. To play it would require an xbox live gold account (which I don't have). However, I immediately dismissed it due to no local-single player. It's unforgivable!

we found your problem

i gave heavy rain another chance after disliking the demo (a game out of qt events EVIL!)
but then i found it was about story and emotion and not game play
also go buy it feed interactive fiction so one day it will beat call of duty and there wont be a call of duty 25

I tried to like The Witcher and KOTOR, I really did...but I'm way past the point where those games could ever redeem themselves with me. I simply didn't find either game to be any fun.

I might give Cities XL 2011 another chance---my first impression of it was "great, it's like trying to graft SimCity Societies' people-management elements onto a bad SimCity 4 clone. Not only have I seen these game mechanics before, I didn't even like them the first time."

But SC4 really is showing its age, so it'd be nice if I could find a city-builder that's a bit more modern yet didn't suck.

I'm giving Baldur's Gate a second chance. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I just had no idea, at all, how it worked. After doing a bit of research I think I might be able to make a decent attempt at doing well, eh I dunno.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Fallout 3. I think I already gave up on it after playing Mothership Zeta for the first time. It's terrible, and reminds me why I ditched it for New Vegas in the first place.
if you like rpgs, you will be glad you gave baldurs gate a second chance. i played it for the first time, when i was in 8th grade, because i thought it was going to be like diablo 2. obviously, i was very very wrong. i had no idea what i was doing and gave up after about a month. a few years later i tried it again, after learning how to play it, and found one of the deepest rpg experiences i have ever had

I gave these franchises a second, nay third chance.

CoD 2,4,MW2: Lasted 5 minutes a pop, never going back
BF2, 2142, BC2, Heroes: Lasted 2 minutes, I'd rather die than play again.
Savage 2, TF2, CS:S, WoW: Go ahead, just shoot me now, I'm not doing it again.
STALKER: HOLY CARROT CAKE ON A KITTEN IS THIS COOL!
A Reckless Disregard for Gravity: AAAAAaaaaaaAAAaaaaAAAaaaAAAAwesome (see what I did there?)

I honestly think I'm beyond hope of ever finding an FPS game that I like, I hate every FPS game on the market with a passion yet oddly enough I think a co-op stalker would be amazing...

Edit: I also gave Two Worlds 1 a chance, not bad...not bad...just don't play online.

well a few days ago i gave AC1 another chance. I only got through like4 of the targets before i got bored the first time. I couldnt stand the repetitive gameplay(having to climb to the top of the buildings just to know where to go to do the same pickpocket event.

Welli restarted my game after a 2yr break. This time, though, i actually payed attention to the whole story and fell in love with it. As soon as i finished with the credits from 1 i started with 2. Im rly glad i gave it a second chance.

I havn't played Assassins Creed 2 because AC didn't give me a good first impression, the story was interesting but having to listen to some of the extremely long dialogue and not being able to skip, not to mention Altair's strange American accent. I just went on Youtube and watched the cutscenes to get an idea of where the story left, now I'm hoping to get AC2 because from I've seen and been told it is better than AC.

how far did you get in the witcher? i didnt feel like it really picked up until chapter 3 and i loved how much the storyline changed, depending on decisions that seemed so unimportant at the time. also the alchemy system made a huge difference on the game.

completely agree about kotor though and im glad to see im not the only one who hated those games. it took all i had to make it through that game once and i was bored and unsatisfied the entire time. fortunately i didnt have the same problem with kotor 2...because the game was so buggy that it became literally unplayable after about 2 hours
