I'm tired of hearing people at school go "OMG MW2 IS TEH SHIT."

Well, to be fair. That's what you get when you have a year full of nothing but freaking Cover-Shooters.
But even from the beginning, Halo was NEVER "fast". It worked out as well as it did because it was just the right speed for console controls.

yes back in time you may be right but not nowadays and in theory counterstrike is fast, but it never felt it to me.

And i was specifically talking about multiplayer.

I was always talking about multiplayer. The only time Counterstrike drags out is when some wimp just wanders around the map trying to hide.

1: Halo, all of them - its the same game repackaged over and over with more polish than brass over what was already a generic first person shooter to begin with.

2: Team Fortress 2 - seriously I thought the gaming industry as a whole would have moved on from games which function this old-skool.

3: Minecraft - its pointless, dull and although you may say imaginative its just a waste of time in a poor graphic setting... more so.

4: CoD: MW1-2 - seems everyone has this one. It too is just a typical fps.

also, they need some damn sublety too. aeris' death might as well be "FEEL SAD NOW!!!1!" for how effective it was.

I am pretty sure alot of people will disagree here, Aeris death marked the first time when alot of people shed tears over a video game.

but why? why is it so sad to everyone? to me, it was just... meh. seriously, when playing their games I feel not like "oh thats so sad"(FF7) or "or oh look they love eachother"(FFX). I just don't. then the stories often don't end properly (KH) or understand who the best choice for portagonist would be(KH2, FFX).

and really, nothing goddamn FLOWS I mean. the story just trips all over itself with moments that are unnecessary, stupid moments, music that is constantly called great when really...

just...

why? WHY is this company so popular with their games when, going back through their history, I haven't found a single quality game?

I HATE square enix. HATE them.

Portal, Half-Life 2, Halo series, Resident Evil 4, Assassin's Creed. Yeah they're all great games, but when you end up hearing so much praise for all of them you get sick of them. X-Play in particular pissed me off with how much they kept kissing RE4's ass. X-Play: "RE4 is fucking amazing! It's the best Gamecube game ever! It's the best PS2 game ever! It's the best game ever!" After hearing so much I'm more inclined to not believe them.

Pokemon Red and Blue.

I'm a huge pokemon fan, and I feel that the originals are extremely overrated. It was unpolished, unbalanced, and most of all, really really ugly. Jesus, have you seen those sprites? To imagine Charizard once looked like a donkey frightens me.

That's why I will always assert that first gen is worst gen.

I agree so strongly.

People praising Red and Blue as the best Pokemon games in the entire franchise make my blood boil.

I recently replayed Red.

Then I replayed Diamond, and bought SoulSilver.

Yea, sure, Red and Blue were cool for their time.

But 4th Gen games are so much better it's not even funny.

I've never been bothered by hype in games. If someone's excited for a game that's cool by me, as long as they don't shove it in my face "you're a fag for not liking it" etc etc.

Any of the Halo series. I am so sick about hearing about them.

Yes, I've played them. Each one is exactly the same as before, but with one new flavor added to the dull pot of porridge.

Halo: neat
Halo 2: wow, dual wielding guns. *yawns*
Halo 3: Wait, so I can pick up the gun pod? That's it?
Halo Reach: Whoopie, we all gonna die. Oh, look, jetpacks for like 10 minutes.

I'm not even gonna comment on ODST or Halo Wars. Played 'em, hated 'em. And could care less about the multiplayer. I played it for each, and it's pretty much the same FPS multiplayer game that's out there for every other game.

And it's sad, because I love FPS games. Could have been epic. First game came close, but all the others were simply carbon copies. And over time, it actually detracts from the game.

Mass Effect 2, it lacked so many things compared to Mass Effect 1 yet so many like ME2 more then the first game.
