For me, I just remembered Gladius, one of my favourite XBOX games.

Strange because I'm not really interested in the 'Gladiator' stuff, and I'm not into turn based strategy games, yet it grabbed me and wouldn't let go, then...something tore me away, and I just never got around to going back.

I'm sure at some point I'll go back as I'm pretty sure I'm only hours from the end.

No More Heroes- I just don't have time to grind for money to enter the battle of rank 1 AND buy the energy saver, since I need to fully upgrade my sword to fight the hidden boss after rank 1. Now that I have school, I just don't have all that time to invest in grinding repetitive side quests for money.

Lunar Silver Star Story Complete/ Lunar Eternal Blue Complete. Played both games up to the Final Dungeons and the Final Bosses. Not high enough a level to win.

Ya'll make me proud to have completed Psychonauts. :D Don't feel bad, folks. The game peaked at the Milkman Conspiracy. So long as you played the Asylum folks, you got the best parts.

And all of you who haven't finished Okami, you really need to. I dunno, I may be a sap, but the ending was worth the bullshitty Ark of Yamamoto(?) level. DEAR GAME DESIGNERS: ARTIFICIALLY LENGTHENING YOUR GAMES WITH SHIT LIKE THAT IS UNCOOL. Yeah, if there was a "game you almost didn't finish", Okami is number one. You make me replay bosses once. Okay. Make me do it twice? DIAF.

As more me, I never finished... a lot of RPGs.

Final Fantasy 7 - I played FF8 first, found FF7 to be, after ten hours of playing, totally and utterly boring, so I stopped. (Also, I am one of those heathens that liked FF8's Junction system.)

Star Ocean 2 - Two reasons; I realized I was going to get a Rena/Claude ending even though I tried so damn hard to make Rena hate me. The other reason: I refuse to do the final boss of a game until I beat the token bonus dungeon and the Cave of Trials just handed me my ass.

Rune Factory - Similar to SO2, in a way. I tried to get paired up with one of the guys, saw in a GameFAQ that I could only hook up with girls, spent two years (in game) trying to get Felicity to marry me and after I couldn't make that work, I traded it in and got Apollo Justice. :D

Metroid Prime - I had just played Super Metroid and... I just didn't like the change. :(

Xenosaga - Got to the Cathedral Ship, could not deal with the game's own pretentiousness anymore. I'm all for artsy symbolism, but jesus christ. Also, the battle system sucked. I can't play RPGs with crappy battle systems.

Chrono Cross - Got stuck trying to save Kid. Hated her, wanted her to die, stopped playing.

Oh, honey. D: As someone who beat both of them, I feel the pain. I had to replay SSSC from the beginning because of my level. EBC, though, was easy to Low Level Run. :D

Condemned 2 - At the museum level, ran up against a guy in a full suit of armor wielding a huge axe who caused my weapons to break in about two hits and was immune to the taser (because wearing a bunch of METAL makes you IMMUNE to electricity, amirite?). Yeah, FUCK THAT.
Arrows are your best friend in that section. I would recommend that you finish the game, if only so you can see how badly it screws itself up. Nothing like an extremely creepy first person brawler/shooter that just descends into constant shooting and giving you mutant super powers allowing you to blow people up with a scream to make you hate a series. Although goring people with deer antlers is still fun. Hnoestly I can say I'm still looking forward to how badly they mess up Condemned 3 compared to the first one.

Games I've never finished, the list goes on. Heretic, Hexen, FFVII and IX, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Psychonauts, System Shock II (because XP refuses to play it decently). If a game just ramps up the difficutly in the last level or two and it just gets frustrating it gets old, making use of skills you've never used at all before. I'm all for challenging games that make you throw your controller, but I like it if they at least show you the skills before they cause you instant death.

i usually finish my games or at least intend to(got 100% on KHII), but i cant seem to bring myself to play Metroid Prime 2 because it feels like too much work to find nine keys when 3 is a pain to get. I never completed FF X-2 simply because my standards of a good game came into play, and i never beat FF 12 either because i kept getting my ass handed to me by a bunch of rabid vegetables, mandragoras i believe they were called. Transformers the game pissed me off too purely because some of the enemies were FUCKING cheap as all hell and then some. Jak 2 is ridiculously hard and i could not kill the last boss. Sonic heroes was balls, and mario kart double dash was fun until it started turning to pure shit(those of you who played to the end will know what im talking about)

Shadow of Collosus: I stopped on the sand serpent because I couldn't figure out how to attack him while he was in the sand. I just put the game down and never got back to it.

Tomb Raider 4 - got all the way to the end and the game bugged out. Got a new copy, and it died even earlier in the game. Decided TR4 and my PC have some kind of feud going on. Gave up. I still kinda want to finish it though....

Pariah, Beyond Divinity and Dungeon Siege 2 are probably the ones that spring to mind.

You just get to a point when you thing "meh", and end up realising that something else will probably be more entertaining.

Vexx, I have every heart, I just need to beat the last boss.
The problem is I can't f-ing do it! That guys difficulty is just stupid.

Actually they make you fight one of those bosses 3 times. (Present version, past version, and ark version) That drove me up a wall, especially because he took 10-15min each time.

I was kind of plodding along with Pariah until those god awful driving sections came along, it worked for HALO 'cus they put the effort into making sure the controls worked ya daft bastards.

GTA 4 because every time I found myself parked in front of the tv. IWBTG because of the guy; I had his first form down to memory but his second would always kill me at the last moment, forcing me to fight his first form again and again and again.

THIEF DEADLY SHADOWS ARGH! My old nemesis. Best stealth game I ever played but I always rented it and I never got very far in it before I had to bring it back. I missed my chance.

Fallout 1 - Talking to the boss seems to start some kind of countdown before the game crashes. Might be something the designers stuck in just to make my copy even harder but it's bloody annoying. I've managed to beat him and be just running for the surface when the game goes.

At this point I gave in and watched the finishing cut scene on my brother's file. Shame because of the personalized ending sequence but what can you do?

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

I'm almost at the end, at the part where you have to put all of those power cell things in the derelict ship so you can go to the last planet. I am missing ONE power cell. I spent about two hours going to planets I had previously been too, but eventually I just said "Fuck it, play Zelda," and haven't touched it since.

Also, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. It's just...hard. I bought the PC double pack of Oddysee and Exodus from Steam, and then I got about halfway through the game but I just got stuck and don't have time to play it right now. Maybe during my Christmas break I'll try again.

Also, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. It was fun, but I got stuck a few times and I just lost interest. Also, it just was not as good as Sands of Time.
Having crappy rock music does not make you a badass.
