GTA IV. My mate had it on the PS3 and we used to take it in turns doing missions and when there was a few us just generally mess about causing mayhem. He then sold his PS3 and bought some lizards instead!(dont ask).

My brother then got it for the 360 and i have done nearly all the missions and know i'm oh so close to completing it, but i feel i have played it to death and have just lost interest in playing it, so i just cant bring myself to do last little part of the game.

A week ago I would've said The Witcher, but I've now heard about the Enhanced Edition, So I'll have to give it another go.

C&C 3 - Finished the GDI campaign, got half way through the Nod campaign and gave up. I bought the game close to launch and the huge balance changes between patches made it too much of a bother to play.

Dawn of War: Soulstorm - After playing the Dark Crusade campaign to death, the Soulstorm campaign felt like more of the same and didn't really draw me in as much as DC did.

Eternal Darkness and Pitfall-The Lost Expedition. They've been sitting on my shelf for about five years now almost done, but not quite. I have no idea why I quit playing them, especially Eternal Darkness, that game is the bomb!

Although I did the same thing with Kingdom Hearts on the final boss fight, took me a year to get back to it.

Blazing angels: squadrons for WWII
There's a part where you have to fly through a series of tunnels (WWII airplane (this is so realistic i shat myself)) and in the meantime your dumbass 'squadmate' is talking some shit about heavy water. You had to do IT JUST RIGHT OR YOU CRASH AND HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN. The final breaking point was when i came out of a loading sequence and heard the maget squadmate say THE SAME THING he said the previous time. This was annoying the first time he said it, so i dived my plane into the ground and exited. (enemies also keep saying the same thing ''Tommies and Yanks! Tommies and Yanks- im SICK of Tommies and Yanks!!'' gets boring the first three times you hear it)

Advance Wars - Dark Conflict. The mission "A Hero's Farewell".
Huge enemy base, a sodding fence of electricity across the battlefeild and genuinely clever AI that starts building Antiairs the second i even CAPTURE an airport...How the hell am i supposed to beat that!?

And also, 41 All Time Classics (Clubhouse Games to the Americans here)...Trying to do Stamp Mode on hard (all games in a row, cant continue till you beat a game) ...Mahjong Solitaire on Hard.
Fuck it.
Fuck it TO HELL. I've probably racked up about 9 hours on it by this point.

Pheonix Wright - Got stuck on a mission, got bored
Morrowind - accidentally ended up walking from one side of the continent to the other, and that kinda killed my interests in the game.
Oblivion - Did every quest except the main one, now it's too easy
Ninja Gaiden 2 - Beat the second to last boss easily, then my game froze, and now I can't beat him again.
Mercenaries - got bored.

Practically all Mega Man Battle network games. I always make it to the final boss but never manage to beat him.

Final Fantasy VIII and Xenogears, for the same reason in each instance---long, unskippable cutscene + boss fight + death = sad panda.

Ever since JRPG makers got it in their heads to make their games minimally interactive animes, I've completely lost interest in JRPGs.

Let's see. Chrono Trigger... I loved that game, I'd gotten up to reviving Chrono when my memory card wiped. Since then I've lost some of my will to live because I just don't have the patience to play back up to that part on the PS1 port. I hate the PS1 port. Isn't there a DS port or some such?
Suggestion: I have a wii because they promised you'd have all the games on the earlier concoles to buy for 5 bucks each and could classic game to your hearts content.

Well, no chrono trigger, because its going to get a ds port. So, I did the little hackity hack thing, and run an emulator on the wii; went to a lot of work JUST to play chrono trigger.

I highly reccomend. Earthbound, you're next.

Far Cry - I loved every second of it until Crytek forgot the game was open-world and I ended up in some shit-stain of a level with stereotypical lava and rocket-launcher mutants. Felt like a crappy version of Doom, without the chainsaw and no BFG-9000. What the hell? Never played through the last ten minutes of the game, just watched it on YouTube.

Shadow of Rome was incredibly difficult near the end - everyone either had flame bows or gigantic mauls. I came back to it a year later, got up to the boss fight with Decius, got owned five times, never touched it again.
