Digimon Rumble Arena 2. I've been looking for it for a solid 5 years and STILL haven't found it!
Almost in this guy's boat. I searched for Digimon Rumble Arena for at least five years (in the process picking up DRA2) before I finally found it.

Actually, you do the math. I rented it when all we had was a N64 and a PSX, and I finally bought it months after getting a 360. So yeah, it was a long and hard search.

Not really worth it, playing it again, but the satisfaction of finding it soothed the pain.

I bought a PS2 about a year ago (i used to be strictly Nintndo and PC man) to play Snake Eater (and FFX/X-2/12, but i'd already emulated them, so i just felt obligated to buy them), which... turned out to be quite the challenge. I found Snake Eater itself all over the place, but no where had Subsistence, or at least for under $150au. Luckily after a LOT of hunting and searching, i found a copy on GameTraders and e-mailed the manager. A few days later i paid $30, and recieved a near mint condition copy.
Turns out the dude was a collector himself, which is why it was all perfect. I'm still wondering how it was so cheap because of that... or why he even sold it...
But hell, my win.

yep, have you ever wanted a game so badly, that you would search up and down for it? And what game/s was it?

i don't actually have any personal experiences, i just wanted to hear all your stories.
Beasts and bumpkins i belive it wasent a real game and i just dreamed it up. (even though theres screen shots on google).
Haha I remember having a demo of that game on one of those old 20demo's a disk disks.

Anyway, for me; PC version of Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen. I got hooked to Legacy of Kain when Soul Reaver got ported to PC and got interested by the story so had to play all episodes, didn't have a ps1 though. Think itt'l be on PSN soon? (Never found it)

It took me 11 years to find another copy of Earthbound. (I had shortsightedly sold my previous copy when I was 7)

I also had a hard time finding Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes and Psychonauts.

The enhanced, voiced version of 'Loom'.
Yes, it was pretty time consuming to find this bugger a gazillion years after its limited release...

Monster Hunter. Damn, it was hard to find. I eventually found it in a second-hand bin at EB, after trying, to track it down on various websites.

I remember playing Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors for the GBC as a kid and loved the damn thing. Then it got lost somehow. But at SGC 2010 this year, I found it in it's box with the manual and everything. I'm glad I got it. Only thing I hate is that I only got DB games at SGC this year. I don't know why I just did. They had Altered Beast for the Genesis. I'm so stupid.

I really don't try that hard to find games, but there was one time where I actually did put in some effort.

Back in middle school, I was crazy about Guitar Hero. I started with GH2, beat it on every difficulty, and craved more, so I set out to find Guitar Hero 3 with the wireless guitar, for PS2. I checked maybe five or six stores over a period of two weeks before finally finding it, and loved it to death. Now, not so much.

Oh yea... it took me bloody ages to find Twin Snakes as well. Eventually had to get a copy from Switzerland for about $80au, and the box/manual are in German. It's not a huge issue for me, especially since it has the cooler PAL boxart, but i'd still prefer it to be in english, just to match the rest of my collection.

Man... i haven't had much luck with getting Metal Gear games easily...

If you're serious, don't worry. It's not that good
Lol, don't give up yet. I played it with my friend and I love it.

Mine has to bee Blood Omen. I spent over a year trying to find that in all the second hand shops I could find as I was unwilling to spend an exorbitant amount on eBay. Finally found it in Gamestation. That was five years ago.

The game wasn't for me but for my brother. He had recently sprained his wrist or something and my mom wanted to get the game he wanted. Unfortunately I was at a friend's house, so we all went into my car and spent two and a half hours searching for it. Eventually we found it and when I got home my brother popped it into the Wii and it was broken (The game was Parallel Park or something, cant remember.

Legend Of Zelda Wind Waker Collectors Edition. I know I could have just got the normal one but I wanted to get Master Quest as well and I knew that they had made a heap of them. Needless to say it took a couple of months and dumb luck seeing it in a random store.

At the moment it is Eternal Darkness and Rule Of Rose.

My PS1 is busted.

I have legally backed up my PS1 games as images onto my computer.

I can't find a working PS1 emulator. Does that count? Oh and anyone who can actually help me out of the issue deserve a life-time of virtual cookies.

I've tried ePSX (doesn't work even when bios has been put in).
I've tried PSX (only runs BIN/CUE and my images are stored as .img).

I still wanted to have the Dig (old lucas arts point and click), but at the time I wanted it, most stores didn't sell it anymore. Some clerks even looked quite strange at me when I said: "Do you have the dig for me?"

BF2, at leasy a cheap copy.

Blockbuster had it at $49 like 2 years old at this time (not in America). Pizza Hut had a deal, buy 3 pizzas, get a free copy. Bargain! It came in a paper case but it was a free CD-key and i'm not complaining.

I have Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines as well from said blockbuster, only copy in the entire town pretty much. Also bought BnW2 off eBay (gaming isn't big in these parts), ArmA, The movies, and I think that's about it.

Went to great extents to get my classic G15 keyboard.

Painkiller, Evil Genius, and Duke Nukem Forever. One was found, one I can't even find on ebay, and one involved time travel.
