YAY!! Finally a true place for me to whine and moan about Fable 2. I saved right as I was talking to the hero of skill (you walk in and the door shuts while he is still talking) and then turned my 360 off. Well I signed back in days later to find that the game would let me leave as soon as the scene was over and the scene would end as soon as the Hero of Skill was done talking. So recently the game released a patch to "Fix" the problem. Well the patch didnt fix anything and now im stuck and would have to start ALL over.

I know the games not that long but it would still be annoying.

If you have any fix for the problem WITHOUT starting the game over please PM me.

I had to restart Fable 2 because I ran into the abbot glitch's bastard cousin: the ship captain glitch. You run up to the objective, the plot conversation starts, and then you leave before it can finish, thus completely breaking the main storyline. You can keep walking up to the guy and it'll still claim you are at the objective, but the conversation will never restart. And there's no such thing as a "previous save", so your data is basically screwed. I had so much stuff by that point. Rrrrr.

I wasn't forced to replay it because of a glitch or annoying relative or something, but the first time I got to the final boss of Earthbound he was slapping me around good. I beat his first form, but then decided, screw this, I'm getting some Multi-Bottle Rockets.

Well, I found out the final dungeon is a point of no return, and I'd already saved. I hate this. I was much younger when this happened, and if something like this happened today I'd just level grind or something, but no, I was hell-bent on getting some Multi-Bottle Rockets for some reason.

So, I replayed the ENTIRE game and filled all of Jeff's free slots with Multi-Bottle Rockets for the final boss... only to find the bastard was immune to them anyway.

None recently that I can remember, although I nearly had to restart Dead Space when I was around Chapter 8, because I was sure I was going to run out of ammo. I went through pretty much an entire chapter finding small amounts of ammo and then using it and sweating because I would be out again or close to it.

Other than that, I did lose all my saves and everything when I replaced my Xbox this past November. I bought the original one in November 06, and have 34 retail games right now, so there were quite a few saves lost. However, I'm not really that put out by that, since when I go back to replay those games I would have started fresh anyway.

However, I've never once, in console or PC gaming, had a save file become corrupted, so I guess I'm just flat out lucky. I read about it happening to people all the time, but it's just never happened to me.

ALL FF games up to 12 (which warned you) FF was great at destroying saves. You would get to an incredibly strong boss, have no way of going back, and basically you were stuck because your characters were never strong enough.....
FF7 was great at doing this it let you get all the way to the end before doing this....bah!

FF12 was good it gave you notification that your about to enter an incredibly difficult area please save before entering.

i really hated it when old games lets you fast load and fast save, this was a pain when you died and it was instant death, no lives, and you hit fast save instead of instant load just as you died and completely buggered your save. forcing you to start again.

I had to completely restart Dead Rising. I accidently saved over my file with a new save. It was very sad. I had almost gotten the necklace thing from Carlos.

Well, I was just having fun on Last Remnant after finally beating the Gates of Hell, then I look at my quests, I missed one, so now I have to start all over again, which has pissed me off greatly.

Has this ever happened to you?

Assassin's Creed. I was nit picking, trying to get every achievement in the game for Xbox 360 and managed all but one, where you have to have every conversation possible with a crtain character. Turns out I missed one at the start so I had to start again and play the WHOLE DAMN GAME again to get that one achievement. Only worth about 10 gamer points too, so it wasn't even worth it, just wanted to master the game...

Games I had to re-play annoyingly:-
-Ratchet and Clank 3 (PS2): I'd just completed it (and it was fucking hard back then) and I'd loaded it up to play Challenge Mode. Unfortunately my Ratchet and Clank 2 instinct kicked in and I pressed 'down' on the main menu, which selected 'New Game' instead of 'Load Game' and selected my completed save-file, completely oblivious until I realised I had no weapons or bolts.

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (PS2): My game used to freeze occasionally whilst saving, which meant I had to turn the main power off (original PS2) and restart my game since my save got corrupted.

EDIT: Oh yes, and my DS's Flashcart's MicroSD had to re-formatted, resulting in hours of gameplay being lost. Kharma you b***h...

Games I've replayed because they're awesome:-
-Ratchet and Clank series (minus the first one): Just because they're fucking awesome, and I've completed all of them on Challenge Mode except for the first one, since that's an annoying bugger and I haven't completed that once yet.

Tony Hawk's Underground series (including American Wasteland): Again, I've had countless hours of fun with these. I even bought THUG2 Remix for PSP after I bought it for PS2, but my cousin borrowed it and the UMD is wrecked now (I also don't have a PSP any more since mine's power switch slowly died). With THAW, I completed all the story goals twice in 3 days, the third day being Christmas Eve...or Day...

Portal (PS3): Does this really need explaining?

Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3): Okay, I'm not on about the Campaign mode, I'm on about how much f**king fun this game is. I've clogged up my HDD with character models, maps and mutators.

I bought a game called LMA Manager for the PSX which required 15 blocks per save. I only had one memory card at the time, and I was young so money wasn't at a premium. The only thing to do was to delete fifteen games' worth of saves.
What you need to learn to do is play one game at a time and then delete the save file, if it's different consoles then fine but on one console just stick to one game, complete it then delete the save file. You use up much less space that way (and on an Xbox 360 it means the hard drive has more space for videos, music and so on...)

Eternal Darkness

I was at the end of the game (playing as the fireman) and I needed the red, blue, and green effigies. Well, as it turned out, the middle one I could not find, as I failed to attain it hours and hours beforehand with the monk. That pissed me off.

I haven't, and probably never will, finish Final Fantasy Tactics. I <3 the game, and it's essentially the sequel to the Ogre Battle series (which is probably my second-favorite gaming series), but I can't do it. Why? Because I've had to restart it EIGHT TIMES.

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.

It was a long while ago, but I think I forgot to do something. Still an awesome game though.

Yeah that, or you could just get the 120 GB PS3 that's out now. I have the 80 GB (the backwards-compatible cuz I rock) and I still haven't used up all the memory. I do tend to delete the saves when I'm done, but it works really well for me.

Played Final Fantasy XII, started it again because of a break of a few months. That said, I'm now at university so my Xbox 360 (which is mine) is fine, but the PS2 is my family's so I can't play it again till I go home at easter, so I'll have to start that again unless I don't mind waiting (which will really piss me off as I'm now at Giruvegan which is about 2/3 of the way through the game).

San Andreas: I completed all the missions and my completion level was 97.5%. Then my sister wiped my memory card deliberately so I lost all that data. I traded the game in the next day. I thought, "Stuff it! I'm not doing all that again!"
What a ***** your sister must be (no offence).
