Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door. I had never actually played it, and a couple months later I actually wanted to give it a try. But incidentally, my neighbor in possession of the game had moved.

the battery in my Gold died, so it wouldn't save anymore :(. That's the only game I ever lost.

I lost Call of Duty: World at War. I don't even know how. I know I was playing out in the living room, and moved all of my stuff back into my room a few days later and it was gone.

I thought I may have put it in another case when I switched games, but I have yet to find it. And no one was around to steal it or anything, and I still have the empty case.

Every once in a while I want to play around of zombies with my friends and I remember it's gone, and it pisses me the hell off.

I don't usually lend out my games, because I'm paranoid of this situation.

Kameo. I lent it to my sister way back when it first came out (I had stayed up for almost 2 days to beat it). She divorced her husband years later, he got the 360, and promptly moved cross country with my game. It bothers me when I think I'd like to play it again but can't.

Well, first my GameCube with 2 controllers and most of the games, which means, Tales of Symphonia, Super smash Bros. Melee, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Super Mario Sunshine and some I can't remember. I know the person does want to trade back as I got his PS2 with his games though.
One game I don't have and don't want back is Winnie the Pooh: Tigger's Honey Hunt. Seriously, that's the worst gift I've ever received and I'm glad no-one can trace the evidence that I once owned it back to me!

I lent Theme Hospital to a friend.
Midway through her borrowing it another friend asked to borrow it too.
I told friend #1 to give it to friend #2 when she was done.
Friend #1 did so.
After a few days Friend #2 gave me back the Theme Hospital disk in 2 parts.
To this day, neither of them own up to doing it, nor will they replace it.
The case still sits under my desk, I sometimes mourn it's passing... God I loved it so...

Names have been omitted to protect the innoce... guilty!

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Lent it to a friend for a week. Never saw it again. He said his brother sold it for drugs. But I "borrowed" one of his game a few days later.

"Kirby's Blockball," the best Arkanoid-style game ever made, was wrenched from my grasp by an icy wind and was borne away, laughing cruelly as it went. I haven't been able to find it anywhere since.

Mario Kart 64. It just went missing one day while the N64 was still pretty new and I never saw it again. No clue what happened to it.

My original copy of Devil May Cry.

Let a friend borrow it, never saw him or the game again.

Major League Baseball for the NES. I've never lent any game to anyone who wasn't kin ever since without collateral.
If I had one of lendee's games(of equal value/quality), it might as well be considered a fair trade.
