8/10s of the JRPGs I play.

I usually get near the end...and then take a break. And then never go back.

Of things I've actually played recently...I've never actually won a campaign in Medieval Total War, I always end up bogged down somewhere.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. I couldn't beat the final boss.
What sucks is that the entire internet is convinced that he is the easiest boss in the game...

Dead or Alive 4.
I hate that game, it hates me and I will never beat it. I hope it somehow dies. -_-

Fallout 3. Yes, that's right.

And I got it on launch too.

[sub]I barely made it to that radio DJ before I gave up in boredom.[/sub]

Final Fantasy 8. Have always got to the start of the final disc and then been forced to stop because of the arsehole boss who kidnaps Rinoa. Seriously, can't that bint just stay alive long enough for me to whack the enemy around.

Mortal kombat deadly alliance, psychonauts, FF X and Oblivion stick out in my mind as unfinished. Deadly alliance because I always forget my password after not playing it for a time, psychonauts because the internet constantly reminds me about it, FF X because I got to the last boss, was really underleveled and accidentally deleted my save and Oblivion because I spent more time on it then most games I have, but never completed the main quest.

Not counting games I've lost over the years, or the ones that I thought were shit three hours in... Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9 (save/disk would always corrupt 3/4 through the damn game) and Homeworld 1 and 2 where I'd get halfway through the game and suddenly run out of resources, which equals Death, which equals Return to Start.

A game which I have always wanted to finish, and have come close to on occasion (damn memory card corruption!) is The Legend of Mana for the PS1. Awesome game - it always felt so huge, back when I was 12, and even to this day. Seriously, theres over seventy quests to do, which might not sound like much nowadays, but back on the PS1 that was a bucket-load, especially in a game with such great (drawn) graphics.

Man, I wish this game was on the PSP...

Fallout 3
Spiderman 2
Tales of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
Final Fantasy 8
Future Cop: LAPD
Metal Gear Solid 4

There's probably more but I can't think off the top of my head.

Gears of War. I could finish it, but never got around to it. The game never really latched on to me in the first place.

Oblivion. Invested several hours into it, figured that I mis-leveled/over-leveled my character, restarted because it got to hard, gave it a couple more hours, never went back to it.

Fire Emblem 7. Got stuck, tried diligently to get unstuck, and someone lost the game. In a house of two messy as hell brothers and a neat freak mom, this was inevitable.

Final Fantasy 8. Stuck somewhere around Disc 3.

Stock up all your Cloud summons. Stock up on (Mega?) Elixirs. Omnislash till you have no more Clouds, Elixir, repeat.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (PS2): I hated that game so much. I always got caught, no matter what I did. I only beat the first level honestly, then I got so fed up I cheated and used the level select code to finish the final level, so I don't consider that beating the game.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (DS): I couldn't beat Richter, and I always died on the wall crushing move of Dracula's. It wasn't until I traded it in that I realized I had to make my teammate stand and attack one wall while I hit the other, I tried to fend off both myself and got crushed every time.

Jurassic Park: The Lost World (PS1): The compywhatever dinosaur levels were too long and repetitive, and got boring.

Tekken 6 - God damn you NANCY. The only trophy I don't have in that game is the one for beating you.

Then there are the shooters in the arcade like House of the Dead, Time Crisis 3, and Target Terror.

Didn't do much to make me want to keep playing.
Ditto - except I was quite little when I was playing this - and had a real hard time dealing with losing. I remember trying the boss about a dozen times and on the very last time when I got killed seconds before winning (I knew I was close, I watched my friend complete it).

I threw the N64 cartridge so hard against the wall it broke and I've refused to play anything Banjo Kazooie related since.

I have however improved on my bad losing ;)
