the xbox revival of Ninja Gaiden; It was a hard game when I first played it, but I tried persevering till the 7th chapter, at the NC-17 Queen; due to the incredible ammount of frustration with the boss, I just decided to stop playing.

The story on Command and Conquer three. I just cant be bothered to do it.
what? c&c 3 is one of my favourite games! i totaly loved the whole game and its story (although i got c&c 3 kanes wrath now, and i think that one is better.and more is explained, but the subfractions are anoying)!
I agree, the story is damn good. So is the one on C&C kanes wrath. I've done most of that XD. I'm just to lazy to do it though

Mass Effect, cannot be arsed.
And whaaaat? If you skip out the side missions, you can get the story done in like 20 hours. And it is well worth it. I loved the space battle cutscene at the end. Its worth completeing just for that

Resident Evil: Code Veronica - X, don't collect enough items and svae and your doomed. Was too lazy to carry it on, it was getting soooo tedious by the time I took over Chris.
That was my first Resident Evil, and it turned me off at the start. I always had mixed feelings about the Resident Evil franchise since.......until I played RE4 and realized the revitalization of the survival horror genre.

Age of Mythology

I just got bored with it. It might have had something to do with it being my first RTS experience.

Frankly, while I enjoyed ME a bit, it felt as though it tried to hard to be KOTOR 3.

You feel my pain! I played other REs before, but this one was just too much to bare. It was the embodiement of all that is bad about the series. But RE4 rocked, RE5 also good!

Crackdown, Prototype and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The first three because they give you absolutely zero incentive to actually do anything in the game. Yes, there are all manner of options of things to do, but no actual incentive to do any of it. "We have this awesome new power for you to use! You can use it if you want. You don't have to, though. Only if you want to." Lame.

Farcry 2 and Halo Wars due to general crapiness.

Also Lost Odyssey. I think I got right up to the final area's of the game, worked like crazy to get the immortal characters to learn immunities to just about everything..... then found something else to do. I just know that if I get back to playing i'll be too rusty with how it plays to take on the final guy.

Shame really.

I'm a big Final Fantasy fan, but I've never finished any of them because I always get to a point where I'm happy just wandering around doing side quests and messing around. By the time I decide I should probably get on with the game, I've completely forgotten where I was up to and what I'm meant to be doing next, so the process repeats.

Viva Pinata, Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, Football Manager 2007 - played for a couple of hours once, haven't touched 'em since. Keep meaning to go back to them, never get around to it. Lost Odyssey, bought several months ago now, but never played at all.

Most of the time, abandonment of a game isn't necessarily a sign that I don't like it... it's usually more a case of my ridiculously short attention span.

Dark Sector. What a turgid mess that was. I mean, cutting someone's head or something else off of them is supposed to be fun, and was for a few minutes, but then I got so, unrelentingly bored that I switched off the game when I came across the zombie-peoples (or is it "infected" like all modern zombies seem to have to be called nowadays?), and never looked back.

Believe me, I hate not finishing a game (Quantum of Solace bored me to tears too, but I still played it until it was finished), but I am so glad I left that one out.

FF12. I spent several hours desperately trying to like it, but in the end, it just didn't interest me.

Crackdown
Crackdown felt too casual for me when I played it. I wasn't particularly motivated, even though the motivation I was supposed to have was clear. I liked it, but I haven't played it again since I finished it.

Ugh same here, and at the same bit from the sounds of it. The face that you first meet the zombies in a very generic sewer didn't help matters either. Real original.
