That's nonsense. The chance of that gun shooting the man without the kid, without there being the kid is 0.00%, meaning the kid did the killing here.

Seriously dude, while you can make a complaint about the gun, the logic you used is really bad. Both the gun and the child were necessary components. Guns kind of need people to use them.
That's nonsense. The chance of that gun shooting the man without the kid, without the man conceiving the kid is 0.00%, meaning the man did the killing here (committed suicide).

On Topic:
While needlessly tragic, this should be a lesson to all parents. Teach your children the word "no" and that they don't always get what they want. Teach them how to accept what the word "no" means and that a necessary component to growing up is learning how to deal with not getting your way.

Edited for tag mistake
That's nonsense, the chance of that gun shooting the man without the kid, without the man conceiving the kid, without the Big Bang happening is 0.00%, meaning the Universe killed him.

This is an awful story. It has nothing to do with gaming obviously, simple childish greed, but points out yet another reason why civilian gun access can be a bad thing.
Don't be ridiculous, if more Saudi's had concealed weapons they could've stopped this monster before he had the chance

Gaming didn't cause anything.

Leaving a gun where a 4 year old could get his hands on it did.
Not to mention general parenting. I mean, I can understand a kid that age crying their eyes out when they don't get what they want, but if he went for the gun, he knows that guns mean violence to some degree. Could there really have been no past signs or even an escalation in the conflict that led to the shooting?
Not to mention that he didn't have one suggests that he hadn't played games...It was merely simple, out of control human greed that made him do it. How such a young child becomes like that, I don't know, but something definately went very wrong.

Am I the only one a little freaked out that people are cracking jokes about this?
Honestly, I usually would as well, but this is kinda creepy looking past the fact that games WILL be blamed. I mean, four years old. How does a kid become that evil in just four years? It almost makes more sense to assume he was born evil, which is scary in itself.

But here's the thing, video games can't be blammed, the kid shot his dad because he didn't have a playstation, leading me to beleive that he never played a game before...this is seriously messed up.

Heh, do you think the media really care about little things like "facts"?

Yeah, the playstation could have been any material possession, and it's damn scary that such a young kid killed his dad because he didn't have it. He clearly understood that the gun was dangerous as well, otherwise why would he have went for that instead of punching his dad. This kid is plain evil, no matter how it happened. I really, honestly hope something awful happened to him that messed him up, otherwise we're faced with the possibility that somehow, he was just that evil from birth.

Too bad people can't scream "only in America!" about this link, I just know it was on the tip of everyone's tongue when they read the thread title.

In news today, police are searching for a Mr. Violent Gaming for the murder of a man in his own home today. They believe Gaming broke into the house and shot the father, before making it look like the son had done it it. Police arrived at the scene to find the man's son standing in a pool of blood with the firearm in his hand, screaming "Gaming did it! Gaming killed my father!"

I'm Nonce Ense, and this was your news bulletin at WTF News.

OT: I would say something serious but I think it's pretty much all been said.

Hey! I brought you news, free news, Fox News. If there was a murder in a house and a console was found there, the cops would arrest the console.
It IS related to gaming, not games themselves but the idea of gaming and how some people take to such trivial matters. There is no indication about their relationship or lifestyles but a ******* console was the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back that made a child to force a symbol of manhood through his father's skull.
I thought gaming and other time-wasters were not really kosher with islamic teachings, dad should have bought sonny up better. Yes, I know what I did
