Sub Culture, barely anyone remembers it, and it's Voodoo graphics won't run on any modern system, but it had one of the most unique and memorable Freelancer style game experiences.
Sub Culture was quality, it's a shame games like that are lost for all time due to graphics.

I want another Alter Echo game. I loved that game on the PS2, with current technology they could make something awesome out of that.

Rareware :( Ever since they got bought out, they've been dead. And they were Nintendo's biggest competitor on the N64 :( Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo Kazooie, DK 64...

It still makes me sad.
To be fair they did release grabbed by the ghoulies after they were bought out so it wasn't all bad..

OT: I want rocksteady to do another urban chaos game... That was such a psycotically fun game to play

Mirror's Edge, that was a game that needed a sequel, it was a fresh, new idea that just had a rocky start, if they took a look at the feedback, and implemented it into the second game, who knows, it could be held up next to Portal.
I really, really, really, really want a Mirror's Edge 2 as well.

I really liked the parkouring, it was so much fun jumping around like a twat again, without the old PS1 graphics.

Too many companies are sitting on IP's that would make GREAT games and help break up this monotony of endless sequels that's starting to wear thin on me to the point that I'm losing interest in gaming.
Tell about it. I'm still waiting for XWING VS TIE FIGHTER 2012. Hey, Lucasarts WAKE UP!

I don't know who owns it now, but Shadowrun is too good a property to be dormant for as long as it has been. The 1993 SNES Shadowrun is still one of my favorite games.
Yes, that's absolutely true. I wonder why no company picked the setting up in the last years. It's so well thought out and varied it would have something for everyone. How freaking awesome would a modern RPG in the universe of Shadowrun be? And it better be an RPG, everything else leads to embarrassing results.

Also: 'vagrant Story'. My God, I love the style and atmosphere of that game. Actually, remaking the game as it is in HD would completely suffice for me.

Has anyone posted A modern sequel to Crusader No remorse as of yet?
No? Well here, its done now.
It could have worked so much better as a FPS than Syndicate

Anyone announcing Homeworld 3 or Dungeon Keeper 3 will make me a happy chappy.
I expect that Creative Assembly will make me happy at some point with Rome 2 or Medieval 3.

If Square Enix made a Kingdom Hearts MMORPG, it would rain money in Japan for the next forty years.
Kingdom Hearts MMO? I don't think that would do so well honestly. But if they were to finally make Kingdom Hearts 3, that would be a money maker.
I would quite gladly sell a lot of my limbs just to play a kingdom hearts 3. And if they made an MMO for it i would buy definitely buy it, even if it was crap i'd make it work.

And quit making handheld games! Its just making me want kingdom hearts 3 more!
I agree that they really need to stop making handheld games, I don't even really consider the handheld games part of the series all that much. More like loose connections if anything. Though I get the feeling once KH3 does come around I will be so confused. I was fine with KH2 since I didn't play Chain of Memories(Recently picked up Re:CoM, haven't gotten around to playing it though), but if they fall back on all these handheld titles I am going to be beyond lost.

This times 10.

I do hope they make Rome 2/Medieval 3 more like Rome/Medieval 2, in terms of game-play.
Empire and especially Shogun's game-play turned me of the series.

We need a new Star Wars Starfighter game. I love the two we have now but they're so old. I really think we could do something great with the new hardware. Huge fleet battles, great graphics in space, I really miss those games.

Pathologic, more Pathologic, and guess what else? That's a game that literally needs nothing other than graphics and translation: the writing and design is spot-on.

Vampire the Masquade: Bloodlines
That game was awesome. The universe is awesome. I would give up at least three organs(or 6 units of blood!) for another.
I LOVED that game. I wish they made more RPG's set in the Vampire/White Wolf setting. Someone at Bethesda needs to get on that.

Illusion of Gaia 2.
They kinda did. Kinda.

Trust me, you will not regret looking into this game (if you haven't already played it).
Oh man I played Terranigma until my fingers bled. That's up there in my top ten RPG's of all time. I think a LOT of people missed out on that, which is a shame of unspeakable magnitude!

Anyway, I'm amazed that someone like Telltale hasn't been able to secure the Maniac Mansion/Day of the Tentacle IP from Lucasarts. Actually, Lucasarts is sitting on a ton of great franchises that are begging for more games. X-Wing/Tie Fighter, anyone? How about another Dark Forces/Jedi Knight?

It's sad the way they've gone from being one of the top-tier developers to being a complete joke in the last 15 years.
Yeah they are. I said earlier a Road Rash or Grim Fandango game is probably something that needs to happen sooner rather than later, but with Tim Schafer sitting over at Double Fine now I'm not sure how likely that is...

And the Force Unleashed II can go to hell. I want something deeper than just a Jedi Hack n Slash. I think that series culminated at its best in Jedi Academy. What I really want is Oblivion with Star Wars paint on it... a massive RPG set in Star Wars Universe. It pretty much conforms perfectly.. "Spell casting = Force Powers" etc..

Maybe Bioware should lose the Lucasarts rights for a while and let another giant take a shot at it.

Gun was a really good game. I would love to see a sequel to that.
so im not the only one who wants a gun sequel first game i play when i pull out the old xbox
The only problem is, I feel that Red Dead Redemption took what Gun did and ratcheted it up to 11 and never looked back. Now, considering how suckass the Tony Hawk games have gotten, and given the tremendous success and acclaim of Red Dead Redemption, I gotta believe someone over there at Neversoft has already been hard at work on the Sequel. Although Gun was pretty dated. When I think about it, there were like 6 SMALL areas.. lol Half the content of GUN would fit inside a single city in Red Dead, but years later there's TONS of room for a much more expansive competitor in the "western Open world" sandbox game genre, assuming one actually exists.

Sorry, I may misunderstand, and if I do, then I apologize, but your ideas to end sequels... are more sequels?

and it's not really true with that "endless sequels" and "monotony". We've got Mass Effect 3, which Bioware has confirmed and been working toward since the first game. We've got Planetside 2 coming out, which is in no way a sequel. Skyrim is part of the Elder Scrolls, but like any other, it's not really a sequel so much another story in the universe. Reach was not a sequel, and merely expanded an area of the universe that provided some confusion to fans. Battlefield 3 is a completely stand-alone story, just like EVERY Battlefield game besides Bad Company.

I'll give you Modern Warfare 3 and Arkham City, those are actual sequels, but Modern Warfare had an interesting campaign, which made it harder for me to hate it (until I tried the online), and, from what I understand, Batman was a fun game, even if it didn't expand the gameplay that much.

Again, if I misunderstood you, I'm sorry, but I still stand by my second paragraph completely.
I see what you mean. I guess "sequel" isn't the right term. I think what I'm saying is that I'm growing tired of non-stop "additions" to existing series that act as if there are no other real series out there. I mean, while this was probably the biggest gaming season of many years, look at all of these highly rated, big sellers that came out this year.. most of them are just part of a series from the LAST game these studios made. Sure a lot of them were created with trilogies in mind at the outset, but I mean, we aren't even DONE yet.. we still got another Final Fantasy on the way, Mass Effect (which I'll admit I'm highly anticipating), Another GTA announced... I think I'm just hitting title fatigue. I'm not planning on buying the next COD game. I'm done with "modern Warfare" for a while. I think we've just been over-exposed to some sequels and it's time to let them simmer down a bit.

Yeah definitely wonder why Lucas Arts isn't jumping into the FPS money tank with Battlefront 3 or in the least Republic Commando 2. I loved Republic Commando so hard.. one of my fave shooters of all time.. it was like Halo Reach before Halo Reach. I never connected with a squad as much as I did in that game.

I also agree. It's time to dust off Onimusha...

And to everyone else, yes, I know... My problem apparently is not with Sequels as I first stated in error. My problem, after being corrected, is that I'm tired of the same OLD sequels and trequels. I guess I don't mind SEQUELS as much as just a variety of them, mixed with titles that DESERVE revivals. And who can hate that? More Games = MORE GAMES. That's a win to me.
