Pronounced "in before", used to call out the expected result of many posts after yours in a thread. Example: when someone starts a "series that you hate" thread on The Escapist, it would be appropriate to say "inb4 MW2", because on this site, you know that's going to account for half of the answers for no good reason.

Whenever someone creates a topic (it's always a new user who does this it seems, always) and their OP is a wall of text with poor spelling and grammar, as well as copious amounts of leet-speak. Then when everyone says they have no idea what the OP says the creator has the audacity to tell everyone to stop being grammar Nazis.

And yes, I'm feeding off of a real example.

So yeah, copious amounts of leet and slang annoys me no end.

"plz"... I mean really? Is it that hard to type "please", does it really take that much longer, and even if you think typing the whole word is that hard, under the circumstances surely you should be putting in the effort to type "please" since by its use you are asking something of someone else, thus at least show common courtesy... or maybe I just think to much about these things.

oh and also using the word "retard(ed)" as an internet insult, please, please, please stop it. Being "retarded" isnt somthing to be taken lightly nor to be thrown around. It is for some very serious and life altering (whatever the cause may be) and it just seems hugely insensitive... then again this is the internet we are talking about, sensitivity has never been its strong point.

inb4 is a 4chan term, the act of saving a picture befor a 404 occurs. EX: Yes! I got that battletoads picture in before the thread 404'd!

I have no idea what people mean by /b/ or whatever it is.
/b/ is a board on 4chan.org, not recommended for the weak of heart.

OT: Facebook in general, people my age should not have this much drama in their lives. (I'm 15)
That or IDK

Well, I dont really have a problem with l33t-speak, its just that nobody reads LOL as LOL they always read it as "hahaha that was pretty funny" not LOL.

Same thing with STFU or GTFO. Nobody READS it as stfu they read it as "SHUT THE FUCK UP" or "GET THE FUCK OUT"

When you say it as STFU or GTFO in public, it just makes you look like an absolute nerdish prick.

And why is "pwn" better or cooler or whatever than "own", ya know, a real word?
Because alphabetically P is +1 to O. As in L,m,n,O,P. Just like when my friend would page me when he needed info he'd be 511. Because he was just that much more important then 411.

And as far as 1337 speak, that all began with finding replacement letters or alternate spellings for gamer tags. And unfortunately evolved into pure nonsense and douchebaggery.

The only time I ever liked the word pwn was when I was hanging out with some people who were playing D&D and my friend named her horse Pwny.

Other than that, I could do without the term pwn.

When I say pwn, it sounds like poon.

As in poontang.

And I really like the word poontang. It's funny.

Pwn is only half of that word, therefore it is not complete, which means it's not as funny!
Okay, now there are two versions of pwn I like. Pwntang and pwny.

I don't have a problem with the slang, only the way it's implemented by all the fresh internett players. They don't show any retstrain of it's use and usually use the same three words for every situation.

If a person is bad at English or don't know how to communicate as a human being, they shouldn't type anything at all. In English atleast.
