Gaming/Internet slang that you really hate or don't understand.

Pr0n,noob,newb,plox and all the lols, rofls and what not when used verbally.

I also hate abbreviations in game (especially when I played Wow)

I had to learn a new language to play that game and then sadly used it. (Hypocrite)

WC, when used as 'wrong chat'

The abbreviations got ridiculous for new players when it got to things like "LFM UBRS"

And that WC thing always annoyed me cause I'd always go "wailing caverns? screw that"

I always read WC as 'water closet', thought everyone who played had small bladders for awhile.

Pwn is the big one for me, it just looks like the person had a fit when typing and missed the "O" button and are trying to "poon" you or "pawn" you, both of which make the gears in your head turn. What's worse is when people actually say it out loud. That makes me want to scream, especially if the person is nowhere near a video game.

Because alphabetically P is +1 to O. As in L,m,n,O,P. Just like when my friend would page me when he needed info he'd be 511. Because he was just that much more important then 411.

I hate it when people put 'zor' or 'zorz' on the end of words. All in all though, most internet speak is utter shite and mainly used by the illiterate and immature but I do however agree with abreviations used in gaming.

Specifically in the fighting game scene, I hate the term "scrub." Everyone throws it around at everyone else just for saying something they disagree with. The original meaning was lost forever ago.

All this shorthand internet writing is intensely annoying because I take it personally. By that I mean that if you honestly can't be bothered to write "you" as a word, and instead choose to type "U" or, even more insultingly, "u" then it tells me something about you. It tells me that you don't care. It tells me that you don't care about what you're writing or anyone unlucky enough to read it. Learn to type.

Yeah just about all of it for me. "lol" gets extra marks for being the first... for a long time I thought it was lots of laughs, plus with it's ambiguity and improper use. I mean how often are people actually "laughing out loud" when they throw out a lol? "Pwn" is a worthy contender to for it's sheer stupidity.

Personally though my biggest gripe is how game communities after a certain amount of time tend to develop their own complete slang language. I never really played WoW for more than a day so I don't know how bad that is, but I played Guild Wars shortly after release and at first it was fine. Then I quit for about a year and when I came back and started playing again I had no idea what the hell anyone was talking about.
