I've said it many many many many many times before in every single thread like this. There are so many of these threads that I've lost count.

"THEY'RE SINKING CITIES WITH A GIANT WORM!?!"

And that was that.

God of War.

In the first game, there's an unlockable cutscene where Kratos finds out...

Zeus is his father.

In the second game, he's told the same thing, under different circumstances, and is surprised by it.

Not to mention the inevitable time-travel problems with GoW2.

Well I think that a lot of the airships in Final Fantasy in paticular are supposed to be working on magic. In Final Fantasy in paticular the method by which they were drawing electrical power (directly from the planet) was an early issue.

A lot of concepts use the idea of techno-wizardry.

In any Final Fantasy with a dead ally. Why can't they just use a Pheonix Down on them?
The fanboys of Final Fantasy 7 were screaming this when Aeris died.
Ever play FF5?

The party actually DOES try to use a Phoenix Down (and Cure, and Raise) on Galuf when he dies. It doesn't work.

Any game where you play the biggest badass in the universe and can kill anything in the game, UNTIL a cutscene happens and you are somehow defeated/captured/made powerless by random cronies that you were slaughtering by the hundreds a minute ago. A good example, is Fallout 3 where
your father kills himself to save you and the experiment, even though it's only about three dudes you could easily defeat, and defeat dozens of them only minutes later while escaping.

So they put thier technical know how into something worthwhile... such as airships and classy architecture instead of weapons... what is wrong with that? the world would probably be a better place if people stopped focusing on tech for new ways to give each others deads.
Except that defies the very nature of humanity, the ever-asked question of "How do we kill shit with this?"
Maybe they just spent the centuries crushing people with their fancy airships. I mean, anyone can kill somebody with a gun. But splattering people they don't like with an airship takes style.
I think you're over-thinking it, and coming from me, that's saying A LOT!

Not Really, I just kinda tuned out and thought about how awesome it would be to smack somebody in the face with an airplane. I guarantee they aren't getting up from that one.

Airships are an EXCELLENT form of bomb delivery, as Germany proved during World War I. We probably would've advanced the technology further, if not for the Hindenburg disaster. Just wait: in an effort to defend against airships, they'll develop AA guns, then evolve to faster planes with a higher ceiling, etc.

Not so much a plothole, but an addressed question:

Persona 3 - What happens to planes in flight during the Dark Hour? What about cars on steep inclines (and without the parking brakes on?)?
Or what about time zones? Does the Dark Hour operate on Standard time? and what happens if you're crossing a time zone when the Dark Hour hits, does like half the car go into the dark hour and the other half not for another hour?
Actually, in regards to the part about time zones, doesn't the Dark Hour only take place in that one area because

The explosion at the Kirijo Group's company created it in the first place and that area is where it initially happened?
Well the impression I got was that the Dark Hour happened world wide.

Actually when I said "you" I mean everyone who was arguing about the tech in FFXII.

Fallout 3.

"There's an ungodly amount of radiation in there! You'll never survive!"

"Don't worry, I'll just put on a radiation suit and take 20 rad-x's"

*Go into room*

"See? My radiation isn't moving."

*Type in code. Falls to the floor*

"WHAT THE FUCK!?"

Its steam-punk styled. Not actual steam punk but the same idea, of futuristic old technology. Besides, if you only advance some things, some things will be better. If we put less into weaponry in real life, and more into schools and medicine, those could all be super advanced, while having low-tech weapons.
