The 'best' weapon of the game you're currently playing, in my opinion.

There's always always always that one weapon/car/jet/etcetera that's so much better than all the others, that if you get into an online match, it's everyone using nothing but that item. FPS games that are online, everyone will be using said weapon, driving games will have everyone driving the same car...you get the idea.

Why do people hate regenerating health? Even if it doesn't make sense, its ALWAYS better then having to search around at 1% for a health pack. Its even worse when the packs are hidden or there's a limited number f them, to "Up the challenge." That's why they ADDED regenerating health in the first place.

Order is pretty much random.

# QTE
# paid DLC on release date
# need to save
# games entirely based on movies, I don't mind games with original story using characters and setting from the movies.
# realism worshiping
# graphics worshiping, how about some gameplay?
# Stats in RPG games, detach player from stats or hide them, leave stats for the CPU.
# health regeneration in online FPS
# stupid, unnecessary DRM
# stupid censorship and hypocritical morale standards (look at movies, they get away with much worse things without a peek)
# remakes
# +2 sequels
# disguising addons as full sequels and selling them for a full price
# using external sources for game's soundtrack, make original music for the game!
# dry sandbox games
# Diablo clones (Torchlight is excluded)
# bad ports, make it quality or nothing
# homogenization, devs need to stop trying to please everyone
# achievements, gone wrong, not to mention that most of the time they are a major immersion breaker
# Bobby Kotick
# Tim Langdell
# Duke Nukem Forever
# everyone who thinks Halo is the best FPS game
# everyone who calls Borderlands an RPG game

Alright, I think that's enough for now, I might add some more later.

I myself really hate on rail shooting section in action games. You know where your on some kind of vehicle and have to stay in one spot using a heavy weapon to blast an endless wave of stuff flying at you. It feels restrcitive of gameplay and I just feel like I'm just blazing through here to get to the actual game again.

DLC which you are required to pay for is an epic dick move. Especially when it consists of just a few new skins or some extra weapons, which should've been included in the actual game...

DLC that should provide at least +5 hours more gameplay min. Or 20+ unique original weapons etc. Not 2 overpowered items and an extra 1 hour of play.

Turn based combat, Squenix killed it to death.

Motion control.

Amazaing graphics but a short story.

Tacked on multiplayer.

Something in the gaming industry I feel needs to stop is this hate towards linearity. Seriously, why are so many games open world?

Unlockable characters. When I unlock the hidden characters in Smash Bros Brawl, I just wonder why I couldn't ahve been given them to start with.
do you mean everything unlockable, or just characters? I ask because as a whole i like to unlock things, gives me something to do and therefore increases the live of the game by a huge amount.
I was talking about characters, but to answer your question; yes, I do want everything uinlockable available immediately. Except for stages, of course; I still want to have to finish stage 8 to get to stage 9.

If you had the characters to start with then there wouldn't have been much point playing the game, would there?
Um... yes there would? Like the fact that I enjoy playing the game? And that then I would get to play as Solid Snake from the start instead of having to wait for him?
To be honest I can't quite understand what you're trying to say; why wouldn't it be enjoyable?

Pointless Gimmicks because of the hardware. (looking at you DS / Wii ¬_¬)
This

though the wii gimmicks can be quite fun if you have a sufficient amount of alcohol in your body
(for some reason it seems to work better that way)

Most defiantly the ones released on the same day as the actual game...
Defiantly... deviant? Deviantly? I feel weird now.
Now I just pity your stupidity. Have you spent no time on teh intarwebz? Firstly, defiantly is actually a word, but nobody ever uses it. When you see this word, pretty much always read it as DEFINITELY.

The same way I fail to understand hackers who cheat their way to victory. When you've got everything, where is the reward?

Why would you play through the single-player if the only purpose was the finish the story, which is fairly unremarkable? If everything in SSBB was unlocked then its replay value would drop significantly.

I enjoy SSBB, but I barely touched the online multiplayer because it just felt so unremarkable and unrewarding.

There need to be unlockable characters, if nothing else they are a sign of skill.

Invincible doors and chests.

My party has the killing power of an army, I can rain fire down on any badguy from 100 yards away. My Melee guys can chop the balls off a fly in mid air and can smash through the armour of the toughest warrior...

So why can't I get through this door or why can't I smash this lock of the chest?...

Aw shucks, I'll just have to come back to this location later with my rogue or find the damned key.

The only sign of skill you need is that you fight somebody and emerge victorious.
And if you don't like the single-player mode, that is all the more reason to give us the characters to start with instead of forcing us through hours of non-enjoyable playing just to get new characters. Anything you won't play without the promise of unlockable characters just isn't fun enough. And in that case developers need to make it more fun instead of rewarding us.
I play the multi-player mode all the time, and I would much rather be able to do that with all the characters from the start than have to play through the stage mode just for a reward.

acheivements for natural progressing through the game, here I'm thinking Gears of War, an achivement for playing the game i bought? oh, gee, thanks!
I hate Achievements that are online, I'm a busy and cheap person I by games when they are cheap and most likely by them no one plays online (Like Doom or Time Shift), so I could end up missing half or more achievements due to that crap.
You woulnd't really loose anything? There would still be achivements for doing things that are actual achivements instead of just playing the game.
