Viktor finished his drink while Luke covered the ?restrictions? Lublin would?ve imposed on him. ?Damn.? He said finally. ?Did not know they were that hardassed. The lycans I know can control their change, to some degree at least, mind you I don?t think any of them have ever gone to places like Lublin or Gato to get a handle on their situation; though that may have more to do with the fact they?re from multi-generational packs. My friend Vasily is something like tenth or twelfth generation.? Hmm?I should e-mail him, see if he?d be interested in coming out whip the rest of these pups into shape. Fiddling with his eyepatch, he signalled the waitress for another, while he contemplated something. ?Forgive me for prying,? He said to Lukas after a bit. ?But how did your ?pack? Alpha come to be in his position? I believe I encountered him a few days ago, and it?s difficult to believe the Administration would let such an arrogant, egotistical, and self-entitled person to run as rampant as he seems to.? Vasily would have that pup showing his belly to five minutes?

Multitasking conversations wasn?t the easiest thing to do, but he seemed to be managing for now. Leaving Luke to consider his question, he looked across his shoulder to William. ?So pig iron is easier for you to manifest than say, titanium? What about ?precious? metals? I ask because if you can do something, like say form a pure silver blade, it could be a massive help for you in a fight. There?s a lot of different kinds of non-humans that react badly to it, some worse than others.? He knew it was a purely psychosomatic reaction, but as he mentioned the silver, his shoulder seemed to ache. Shooting Solomon an amused glare, he went on. ?Even a full blooded demon, like our ?boss?, can be hurt by pure enough silver?though in a demon?s case, it?s only really good for disabling them until you get a weapon that can kill them.?

Sierra

Sierra just there silently for a bit after Seth left. After about five or so minutes though she stirred and slowly came around, with a light groan. She looked around for a moment, spotted Lenah, tried to push her self up, was told very quickly but the massive wound on her chest that, 'moving' was a bad plan, and pulled a weak 'owww' from her.

"But apologies, where are my manners. The name's Daniel, and you are?"

"Juliet, though it seems you've already heard of me so I'm not sure how much in the way of introductions are needed," Juliet said, "though personally I wouldn't pay Viktor too much attention, he's a bit of a bore."

She extended a hand to shake and approached Daniel as she introduced herself, well another interesting addition at least. Should make up for Lenah's departure. Still, the feeling he's giving me... might be troublesome. Would be easiest to just ask him what he is I suppose, no point in hiding it here.

"Well my offer to show you around stands," she continued "Also since you know what I am I don't suppose you'd do me the favor of letting me know what you are. I'd hate to misjudge you on a guess."

"Juliet, though it seems you've already heard of me so I'm not sure how much in the way of introductions are needed." Remarked the Succubus as she began to approach. "Though personally I wouldn't pay Viktor too much attention, he's a bit of a bore."

"I wouldn't say the old Vampire was a bore as such, certainly likes his booze I'll give him that. And regarding introductions? Figured it was only common courtesy, and the uh... gentlemanly thing to do when speaking to a lady." Daniel said as he tried to keep his cool as Juliet extended a hand in which to shake.

"Well my offer to show you around stands. Also since you know what I am I don't suppose you'd do me the favour of letting me know what you are. I'd hate to misjudge you on a guess."

"I might take you up on that offer, so long as there ain't no funny business. As to what I am? Well, whilst I can't say it directly, I am, what would be considered, the opposite to Seth; his dark nature to my light."

"Damn. Did not know they were that hardassed. My friend Vasily is something like tenth or twelfth generation."

"Some of these have control over their change too," Luke started. "I think Gato is just a place to... you know. Get connections, be part of a pack, learn something without being as restricted as they would've been in a normal school or at Lublin."

"Would certainly explain why they're so wild," Sol chuckled, though it was only for a brief moment. "I suppose that's the thing with being a teenager, though. Or young adult, whatever."

"Forgive me for prying. But how did your 'pack' Alpha come to be in his position? I believe I encountered him a few days ago, and it's difficult to believe the Administration would let such an arrogant, egotistical, and self-entitled person to run as rampant as he seems to."

"They're sort of... I don't know. I don't think the Administration had anything to do with it, we sort of fight to keep our place in the pack, and he's the stronger one. Besides, if someone tried to make him stop his fighting inside and outside the group, the rest would back him up fairly quickly."

"Would you?" Sol asked, but Luke just gave a brief, careful nod. Apparently he wasn't that eager to get in a situation like that, understandable enough. With that, they let it go over to a different topic, that of Will's powers.

"When I got my powers..I was infused with highly magical essence. So its just easier to overlay a enchantment rather then try to form and hold on to a more pure form of metal.."

"So pig iron is easier for you to manifest than say, titanium? What about 'precious' metals? I ask because if you can do something, like say form a pure silver blade, it could be a massive help for you in a fight. There's a lot of different kinds of non-humans that react badly to it, some worse than others. Even a full blooded demon, like our 'boss', can be hurt by pure enough silver...though in a demon's case, it's only really good for disabling them until you get a weapon that can kill them."

"Oh, that'd be neat," Sol started, though a concerned look from Luke got him to change what he was going to say next. He had intended to talk about how it would be useful for accuracy and convenience, but he realized that the werewolf probably didn't want to talk about people turning into silver weapons.

"I mean... if you're careful, of course. No poking out people's eyes, or hunting werewolves." He scratched his cheek. "I'm sort of the expert on luring and capturing werewolves so that they get a chance to learn what's going on before something really bad happens. Most hunters don't matter, but..." He winked at Luke, and Luke smiled back. "I suppose I've always had a soft spot for the fluffy little guys. And, of course, I consider them mostly human, at least those for whom it is a curse. But yeah, silver is fairly effective. Enchanted silver even more so, since you could make it as pure as possible without having to worry about it not being too soft for a weapon."

Lenah

Lenah was examining her nails when she heard Sierra's groans. She needed to reapply her nail polish, but she hadn't been allowed to use it in the hospital. Suspected suicidal behaviour, she had gleamed from the report. What was that, even? Sure, she had almost ripped open her stitches when trying to get something better to eat that first day, but that was hardly suicidal. And now her nails had started getting spots where the polish had fallen off, making it look at best shabby.

"owww."

"Oh, you're awake?" she said, and waited for Sierra to open her eyes. "It's me, Lenah. Girl who got hurt the first day, and all that. From what I've been told, you're fine, there's some changes, but... well, I'll let someone else explain that," she said, as she started sending out messages to those on her list, who'd want to know about this. "When they get here. If you want me to, I could notify Seth last," she added, as she looked at the message, ready to be sent out.

"But yeah. Anything I can do for you? I could purify water that'll make you feel better."

"I might take you up on that offer, so long as there ain't no funny business. As to what I am? Well, whilst I can't say it directly, I am, what would be considered, the opposite to Seth; his dark nature to my light."

"An angel then?" she said, then grinned "We should get along famously then huh?"

She wondered if he knew who Seth was, as in his role in the demon world. And of course Daniel wasn't necessarily an angel, there were other things his statement could mean but angel seemed the best bet. Who knows, maybe he's fallen. Not that it matters too much at the moment, I'm supposed to be reformed so if anything he should respect me for having turned from evil and all that.

"As for funny business, well I am a demon, but a reformed one so not unless you want there to be," she said with a chuckle, then gave him a wink "So now where do you want to start the tour? I won't say no if you say my bedromm.".

"An angel then?" Juliet said with a wide grin. "We should get along famously then huh?" She then asked rhetorically.

"Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. It's not as if I'm going to tell you outright am I? And I guess we could get along, so long as you behave yourself Missy." Daniel replied with a stern look in his eyes, but a smirk on his lips.

"As for funny business, well I am a demon, but a reformed one so not unless you want there to be." Juliet added with a chuckle, before flashing a sultry, seductive wink. "So now where do you want to start the tour? I won't say no if you say my bedroom."

"You saying you're reformed, yet following with the proposition of starting the tour in your bedroom, is what I meant by no funny business. I have standards when it comes to those I got out with. How about we start things off with a simple tour of the place."

"Oh, umm..." she tapped away on her keyboard for a moment, apparently still a little under the effect of Seth's spell to some degree "Doesn't say here about anyone helping her, just that she was brought in by a 'Viktor'. He's under the command of some one called Seth." she answer cheerfully.

Sierra

Sierra groaned again at the mention of Seth "Only cause he probably needs to know ...." she grumbled with a slight swing of pain to her tone. Actually, she hurt quiet a lot, but she was used to it though something else felt ... off ... like something was missing but she couldn't put her finger on what. "Sure, a glass of water sounds good." she said after a moment. "So, how you holding up? Feeling better I take?"

"Just because I'm reformed doesn't mean I'm not a succubus, with all the needs that entails," she said, shrugging "but if you're not interested then that's that."

Standards? Ha, everyone's got them, usually they don't amount to much. He could be a fun challenge I suppose, no point in pressing things now though. Giving a tour would give her something to do at least, and get to know a little more about Daniel. At the very least she wanted to be on friendly terms with an angel.

"Now then, let's begin the tour," she said cheerily, and began showing Daniel around the place, mentioning amusing anecdotes when she had one that fit and otherwise doing her best to be a good guide.

William

"Huh..never really thought about that...." William said as he starts to think if he could turn his hand into a silver weapon. Though he would nee to try that later. "Thanks Viktor!" He said with a smile. Always glad to learn more tricks with his powers. Though he quickly let the subject drop as he remember the present company. Going back to his drink as he let the others chat among themselves.

He was going to excuse himself when he thought he caught notice of someone he knew a long time ago. Though he was not happy at all to see who he thought it was. His eyes were widen in shock and disbelieve, and even a little bit of terror. He thought he saw his Father. Though as he got a better view of the guy in question when he was walking pass their table, it wasn't.

He took a deep breath of relief and sink back in his chair. Not paying any attention to his surroundings. He thought he felt sick to his stomach and felt horrible all over. Even after all these years, his father was giving him nightmares. 'He dead William..he never coming back...Never...." He kept repeating in his head. Trying to maintain himself while in a populated place.

Tomas

While Tomas was training, he saw Juliet walking up to the new guy. Trying to be friendly with him as he overheard the talking. Shaking his head lightly as she try to get in his pants already. 'I guess Succubus will be Succubus to the very end...' Tomas sigh as he headed out once they left.

He didn't think the new guy needed any help dealing with her at all. Tomas would head back towards his new home to get a quick shower and perhaps get something light to eat until everyone else gets back. Though he stop and thought about Sierra. 'Perhaps I should pay a visit and see if she up yet...' Deciding to do just that as he headed to the med wing of the building.

He made a bit of a face when Luke mentioned that the other lycans here would most likely back this Alpha if he was challenged. Maybe I won?t ask Vasily to come?he?s even more of a ?blunt instrument? than me?

"I mean... if you're careful, of course. No poking out people's eyes, or hunting werewolves. I'm sort of the expert on luring and capturing werewolves so that they get a chance to learn what's going on before something really bad happens. Most hunters don't matter, but... ?That?s why I prefer this.? Viktor replied, shifting his coat just enough to expose the grip of his shotgun, essentially an over-sized derringer, for a brief moment. ?Less risk of the silver failing to work properly when it?s moving at two thousand FPS.? As the hunter and the ?wolf shared a moment, he smiled slightly. ?Oh, and word to the wise Solomon?not matter how funny you think it may be, going up to a lycan and saying ?Who?s a good boy? You wanna biscuit?? never goes over well.? His smile grew a bit broader, and he chuckled some. ?About twenty or so years ago I was in Sevastopol, doing some joint work with my friend Vasily?s pack. Work had just wrapped for the day, and I was going to meet him back the Den for a few drinks etcetera?anyways, on my way their I stopped to grab something at a late night corner store, and I saw a box of dog treats?well you can guess what I did?needless to say it did not go over well.?

"Huh..never really thought about that.... Thanks Viktor!"

?Glad to help.? He replied. ?I?m a wealth of information?some of it more useful than others.?

"That's why I prefer this. Less risk of the silver failing to work properly when it's moving at two thousand FPS. Oh, and word to the wise Solomon...not matter how funny you think it may be, going up to a lycan and saying 'Who's a good boy? You wanna biscuit?' never goes over well. About twenty or so years ago I was in Sevastopol, doing some joint work with my friend Vasily's pack. Luke seemed uncomfortable with the conversation, while Sol just shrugged.

"Good thing I don't consider them dogs then," Sol said, unable to hide a bit of a sharp edge. After all, he had heard the jokes, even had some aimed at him. A lot of hunters kept to a traditional view of black and white, either you were a human or you were a monster, it didn't matter if it was a curse or if you spent 90 per-cent of the time as a completely normal human, like many werewolves did. When he noticed that he'd been a bit too forward, he added.

"Anyways, I've been wondering about something else." From the corner of his eye, he could see William not feeling exactly perfect, and he flashed the other a careful comforting smile before continuing. No reason to bring attention to whatever was going on with Will by mentioning it aloud, especially not since he seemed to be hiding it.

"So, Vik, why are you here? Surely not in order to do extra math, right? You're not even close to being a youth anymore. Some sort of clan business, perhaps? Is that why you could call them and get access to the bullets that easily?"

Lenah

"Only cause he probably needs to know .... Sure, a glass of water sounds good."

"Great," Lenah said, though more in regards to the latter than the former. She had no issue keeping something from Seth, the guy seemed to ignore her either way. Pushing the send button, she got up to get a glass of water and purifying it so that it would have more of an effect than just a "simple" glass of water.

"So, how you holding up? Feeling better I take?"

"Me?" Lenah asked, surprised. "I suppose so... you know how it goes, I got hurt because of a mistake, so people don't really give it consideration. Only..." she bit the inside of her cheek. "Seth is taking me away from the combat part of the team, like, ever, from what I've been told. Apparently he wants to stick me in some sort of research or nurse part, which is the last I want. If I can't lay still for a couple of days, what makes him think I'll do it forever?"

She sighed, and handed the glass of water to Sierra. After she has, she shook her head.

"Regardless, I'm not the one lying in a bed now. How are you? Anything else I can do for you?"

"Good thing I don't consider them dogs then,"

That seemed to have touched a nerve. He thought, as he looked between the pair. Noticing Luke expression, he raised an eyebrow as he replayed what he?d said in his mind. You really need to learn to think before you speak sometimes. Fortunately Solomon spoke up before he could berate himself further.

"So, Vik, why are you here? Surely not in order to do extra math, right? You're not even close to being a youth anymore. Some sort of clan business, perhaps? Is that why you could call them and get access to the bullets that easily?"

?? He muttered in his mother tongue. Leaning in across the table, he motioned for the other three to do the same. ?While I?d figured I may have to tell the rest of the team at some point, I had been hoping I?d be able to get away with not doing so.? He said, keeping his voice low. ?But if you?re asking, Solomon, then I have to spill it?there?s no way a hunter of any worth would not try and dig up the information if I just said ?I don?t want to say?.? Swivelling his head slightly, he fixed Luke with his cycloptic gaze. ?You cannot repeat anything I?m about to say to anyone in your ?pack??understood?? HE didn?t really believe Luke would say anything to the other lycan?s, but he was an unforeseen variable, and Viktor wanted to be sure.

Directing his attention back to the group in general, he nodded an acknowledgement to Solomon. ?Pretty much.? He said finally. ?Though I dislike having to contact our ?known? operations here. I?m supposed to be unconnected to them for security purposes, but if the Administration found out who I ?work? for, my job would be a lot harder; you see, my clan operates as part of a Russian mob family. You can imagine how well that?d go over. As for the specific reason I?m here; those cultists we?ve encountered stole a powerful artifact from my clan, and I?m tasked to recover it.? You may as well tell them the rest of it. The Elders really won?t like that. You told Seth, anything else is minor in comparison. Good point. ?They stole the sword of Vlad Tepes from a, supposedly, secure vault and the clan wants it back.?

"Just because I'm reformed doesn't mean I'm not a succubus, with all the needs that entails," Juliet said with a shrug. "but if you're not interested then that's that."

'Just because I'm not interested in you in that capacity, doesn't mean things are a total write off.' Is something that Daniel had considered saying, but he figured he might let that line of conversation go for now, let the heat die down so to speak.

"Now then, let's begin the tour." Juliet then announced in a more cheery tone, leading the Angel out of the gym and down a corridor that ran alongside it, leaving the room's sole occupant to his business. Every so often, Juliet would make some kind of amusing anecdote, a few of them were a little risqué, but that was a given due to who was reciting them; all in all, the Succubus was giving the whole tour guide thing a fair shake.

'Maybe I was a little harsh on her. Maybe.'

"So, how did you find out about the college then? And what do you think about it in general?" Daniel asked casually when a lull in the conversation appeared.

"Oh, umm...Doesn't say here about anyone helping her, just that she was brought in by a 'Viktor'. He's under the command of some one called Seth."

"Oh...um...well, thank you. Maybe i'll learn more from him." Mirabelle said before leaving.

She hadn't expected that answer so it took a bit of mulling over before she could decide what to do. Unfortunately, she didn't know where Viktor was at the moment and she doubted the theory of Will and him having stayed at the gym in the time it took her to check on Sierra. That was bad news for her, since she had no idea how to find Viktor or who to talk to...except for Seth or maybe Will, one of which she didn't want to bother and the other she had no way of locating either. For now, it looked like she would have to drop the subject until she could locate Viktor at a later date, probably once they got back to the dorms, though she did wonder how much Viktor knew of this guy and how much he would be willing to divulge to her.

At least she already had come up with a way to kill time while she waited. So, with that, she headed off to the library to find out about whatever else she could of this demonic presence business. She didn't expect to find too much but she figured that it was worth a try while she waited for Viktor to reappear.

"Unsurprising, data collection requires investigations, and as you can imagine sending someone to The Demon Realm to have a look around and take notes isn't high on any ones 'to-do' list. So the data collected is likely just from encounters with what ever demons crossed over. Some groups, Iscariot for one, probably have more data, but I doubt much more."

Jarrah was slightly disheartened to learn that information was so scarce, but at the same time he was glad that he had decided to find Seth before he dug through the books under his arm.

"Huh ... I actually have some free time for once, how odd, so, what would you like to know?"

That...was a good question. Jarrah had a few thoughts and ideas but, just as he knew next to nothing about Demons, he didn't know a whole lot about just what to ask about them.

"You mentioned a group called Iscariot? Who are they?"

"The Iscariot, in the simplest terms, is the secret military arm of the Vatican. Literal 'warriors of god' if you will. I'll spare you the tales I could tell of how hypocritical they can be, and often are. They can also be extremely hostile toward non-humans because of they're faith, though there are more 'progressive minds' in the ranks as well. Still, you should never just 'trust' The Iscariot completely, even if you run into some of the more 'progressive' minded ones that don't see all non humans as something to be purged." Seth explained. "Though being that you are not a demon, I suppose you might not have the, shall we say, 'abrasive encounters' I have."

Jarrah nodded understandingly. While the fact that the Vatican had a secret military arm was a surprise, their stance towards non-humans and demons in particular had been touched upon in his Humanities studies.

"So how common is it for Demons to cross over into this world?" Jarrah asked.

"Fairly often actually." Seth started, "You have the ones crossing over on orders. Say, there's something the humans came up with one of the Demon Lords, or Greater Demon Lords have an interest in. They'll send some one over to ether spy on them/it, sabotage/kill them, or help it along/protect them." Seth explained. "You also have the ones that come over because they would like to not have to worry about being conscripted into on of the Greater Lords Armies, or just 'be some where safer' in general. Believe it or not there are quite a few demon tribes that are naturally more 'human' in terms of mind set, wants, and needs."

'That would explain the thickness of these books if demon incursions are so common.'

"You said that there are demon tribes. Are they based on species or social factors? Or both?"

"It's just another word for species anymore. Demons haven't lived in tribes for thousands of years."

"And how many species of demon are there? A lot, I'm guessing."

"Depends on what you count as a 'Demon'. If your defining every thing from the Demon Realm as such, then there are literally quadrillions, maybe even more then that, If your only counting demons that are 'sentient' like my self or Juliet, then that number comes down to, a few million at most I'd wager." Seth said, still leaned back in his seat. "It's only recently that any one has even though to take a proper head count of who and what is actually out there, so if you want an accurate number, sorry, one doesn't exist yet."

"What are some of the more common, or at least, known ones then? I've heard of Succubi, and Viktor mentioned something about Abyssal Demons, but, I dunno, what can we expect to run into?"

"Abyssals are rare even in the Demon realm. The one Viktor was talking about was an anomaly, as they tend to stay in the small space of the Demon Realm they live in." Seth explained "As for what you can expect. Since we have the possible Demon Lord involved, the species is less important, and more the training they've under gone should be come the chief concern. The Demon Realm has trained, military forces, most of these troops are under the command of the Demon Lords and Greater Demon Lords, how ever Demon Mercenaries are also common."

"The species would dictate the training to a degree though, wouldn't it? Are there demons that have wings and are used attack from the air? And the big DOOM reject that we fought in the karaoke bar. He had a cannon and a bunch of mechanical stuff, are they the equivalent of tanks or something?"

"Naturally, does Juliet not have wings? But there are also ways to grant wings or flight outside of what they where born with." Seth thought for a moment. "I've heard about experiments like what your talking about, I've not heard of them being used by the Greater Lords though, well, not the Greater Lords of the West and South, probably on the side of the '72', though or whats left of them anyway." Seth pulled out a card with a hologram of a few types of larger demons, that one could assume started at one or two stories tall and went up from there, if the smaller, presumably human sized demon was any indication. "This is the type of demon they use as 'tanks', typically big and stupid, but with the physical strength to compensate, though some of the older ones can be very intelligent and well spoken."

As Jarrah looked at the hologram, he was incredibly glad that the creature he'd fought at the karaoke bar had been the size that it was. If it had been that size... the fight would of been over a lot quicker.

"What's the '72'? If they use those experiments would that mean they're the ones behind the attack, and the cultists at the temple?"

"The '72' is the short hand for the 72 noble houses that used to run the Demon Realm. Them, you should have information on, as on Earth they are known as 'The 72 Demons of Solomon'. Up until Ansoth and the Sisters rebellions they controlled all of the Demon Realm. Now though, less then half of those familys remain intact, and those that are have ether sworn loyalty to ether Asoth or the Queens, or hold territory in the Eastern and Northern in a not so subtle effort to build back up enough power to kill the Queens and Anosth. " Seth continued. "It's hard to say if they had anything to do with it or not though, hopefully Riviera will be in a mood to talk and not buried in some book, and well be able to get a list of suspects. I doubt it's one of the remaining 72 though, not cause it's not something they wouldn't do, more like it's not something they're in a position to do, a sympathizer if you will."

Riviera. The name sounded familiar, and Jarrah racked his brain to remember who they were, before remembering the previous questions and answers session with Seth, the morning of the debriefing.

"Wait, Riviera? You have a direct line to one of the demon Queens?"

Seth smirked. "I am well connected my boy." The smirked faded back to the neutral expression he had before. "I have already sent some one to set up a meeting with her, just waiting on word from the agent I sent."

"Huh..." Jarrah was impressed. Though he didn't know for sure, he assumed that it would be no easier for an average demon to contact one of their rulers then it would be for a human. Though, he supposed, it was obvious Seth wasn't an 'average' demon.
"So, what's the Demon Realm like in general? It's not all fire and brimstone, right?" Jarrah asked, with a slight grin.

Seth snickered "Not even in the North, were there is a lot of volcanic activity." Seth paused a moment before continuing. "The best way I can think to describe it is, 'like Earth, but many times bigger, and infinitely more ambient aether in the air.' It's not Hell, which, assuming places like Heave or Hell even exist, are defined and portrayed as a plain of existence where only spirits can go, the Demon Realm, and I assume the same of the Angelic Realm, is a physical plain." Seth said as he tapped the card on the table, the image switching to a flat map of the earth. "As for how much bigger, here's Russia," Seth highlighting the country as he spoke, "This is the Demon Realm, as for earth." Seth then highlighted the main island of the UK. "Not 100% accurate mind you, but close enough."

"Don't let Viktor hear you compare the Demon Realm and Russia." Jarrah warned, jokingly, before continuing with his questions.

"If the Demon Realm is so big though, how are there only four kingdoms? Earth has hundreds of countries and states, and it's tiny." Jarrah said, pointing to the image of the Earth for emphasis.

Seth simply shrugged "Viktor would likely write all of this off as Bullshit as well, as for why only four kingdoms, for the South and West, different ideologies is the reason for the borders." Seth thought a moment. "Or maybe experiment, would be a better word since the Queens and Ansoth pay much more attention to the happenings in their borders then prior Demon Lords. As for the North and East, it's simply a case of them being territorial, and really calling the East and North 'kingdoms' is a formality, it's more like a bunch of smaller states that tolerate eachother to keep from being taken over, but there's not capital like the West and South have, as for the West and South, those are broken up into different territories, like Canada, US, Mexico and several other countries, with a Demon Lord over seeing each."

"So the West and South are called kingdoms but are functionally similar to empires. I get it." Jarrah said, nodding. "What exactly unites four respective kingdoms?"

"Treaties mostly. The West and South though are actually sincere about upholding the agreement, while the North and West only maintain them as long as said treaty remains beneficial."

"No, I mean..." Jarrah started, shaking his head as he though of how to reiterate his question, "What keeps the individual kingdoms themselves together, or, I guess on the same note, what are the ideologies that divide them?"

"The North and East, that varies from Lord to Lord, but for the most part they are motivated by a short sighted self-centeredness, that ironically, lead them into the positions they're in now." Seth said with a snicker "The West and South how ever, the only thing that truly separates them, and why I'm inclined to believe that Anosth and the Queens are running some kind of social experiment, is the stance they have on the use of Aether."

Seth pulled out another couple cards and set them down, each displaying sweeping shots of two very different cities. "Ansoth, uses it to advance the technological level of his Kingdom, and is building what he calls a 'Magitec Empire'." Seth said motioning to the card with the shot of a fairly normal looking city, if it wasn't for the demons walking around and a few odd looking machines, it could just as easily been an modern city. "The Queens, on the other hand..." Seth then motioning to the other city, that while clearly using modern architecture, also had a large number of crystals about , and generally looked like it had been ripped from some fantasy book. "The Queens promote the research and understanding of how Aether effects demon kind, and through that knowledge grow stronger." Seth explained. "It's technology verses magic basically, but it's how there is very little friction between these two that has me thinking there's more going on then ether let on."

"But what defines the North and East Kingdoms? From what you've said it sounds like neither of them like the South and West very much, so why don't they join together?"

"The inability to keep an alliance going long enough to get anywhere-" Seth started as his phones text alert went off . "Huh, Sierra is awake already." He said as he got a second text, this one a report from the person he'd set to set up a meeting with Riviera. "Figures..." he grumbled and set the phone down. "The North and East are generally to busy trying to screw each other over to get the power and resources they need to launch an effective counter attack, and they still think that's the best way to go about it even though the South and the West have, and continue to prove them wrong. It's only a matter of time before they fall, and are relegated to the history books."

"Anyway, Sierra is awake, so I need to go see what, if anything she knows about her attackers, and her general status."

"Oh, that's good to hear that she's awake." Jarrah said. "I guess I'll get out of your hair then."

Jarrah rose from his seat and, after a moment of consideration, held his hand out to Seth. "Cheers. I really appreciate you taking some time out to explain all this to me."

"So, how did you find out about the college then? And what do you think about it in general?"

"A friend told me about it," she replied "I'd been looking for a safe place to be for a while, and it seemed perfect."

"As for what I think about it, well its got its ups and downs, a place is defined by its people after all," she said "Some groups I'd rather not associate with, like the Betas for example, are here after all. But on the whole it's great, it's a place where I can be around people on the same level as me. And where I don't have to hide what I am to make friends."

She examined him, trying to see how he might react to this response. Wonder if he's surprised that I have my own standards, or that a demon might want equals and friends.

She smiled "What about you? How do you like it here so far?"

"A friend told me about it." Juliet replied. "I'd been looking for a safe place to be for a while, and it seemed perfect."

"What about you? How do you like it here so far?" Juliet then asked with a smile.

"I best keep an eye out for them Betas then. Well, based on what I have seen so far, they're got a rather amicable set up here, certainly an environment that various non-human races can learn to co-exist in some semblance of peacefulness; a far cry from what things were like even a few decades ago, though some countries are at various stages of development. Reminds me of some other facilities I've seen in my travels.

I would imagine that, I were a student here, and had no place else to go, I'd wager that I'd find a decent home here. Like you said, it's a place where you can be around people that are on the same level as you are. Provided people get along that is. But alas, I'm here in Japan on a work related matter; no time for studying I'm afraid."

"Besides, I've already got a grasp on what I can do."

Seth

Seth nodded "Oh, Jarrah, I expect you to have a presentation ready to give base on what I told you to the team, I'll give you, say, three days. No sense in keeping this information to your self after all." he said while he forwarded the text about Sierra being awake to the whole team.

Sierra

"Oh ya know, I'm fine, cept all the cuts, and the hole in my chest now, and that it kinda hurts a lot to move, I'm fine" Sierra said hit the button to elevate the back rest so she was sitting up so she could drink the water and not spill it. "As for what else you can do? Just hang out a bit I guess." she said as she took a sip of water "This is really good. Anyway, as for the transfer, I wouldn't feel to bad about it. I mean I'm probably gonna get stuffed into a non combat role to." Sierra said taking another sip, that feeling of something being missing still hanging on her "By the way ... do you know if any of the staff mentioned anything odd? I have the weirdest feeling something is ... 'missing', but I dunno what."

Tomas

Tomas was at the door of the hospital when he got a text. Pulling out his phone as he looks over to see Seth sent him a message. 'oh Great...' he thought as he read through the text. Finding it odd that he was just about to check on Sierra anyways but shrugs. Walking in and asking about Sierra. Getting directions from the reception, though something was off with the person sitting behind the counter.

Though he didn't pay no mind to them at all. Walking down the hallway as he went to the direction he was given. Finding the place with ease as he knocks on the door. "Hello...hope i'm not interrupting anything."

William

William wasn't paying attention to what either party was saying as he was in deep thought. Though that change when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Pulling it out as he checks it and smiles a bit. Seeing that Sierra was up already. "Good news" though he saw that everyone else was already checking theirs. "oh..you already know." he said.

"Um..should we go check up on her?" he ask as he put his soda down as it was empty. He was thinking of going on if they decide to decline. He just needed to know the address so he can look it up on his phone.
