yeah i was thinking the same thing, he wanted to fly this big huge flag on how EA had discriminated against him and so forth and it ended up backfiring and he came in second so now he has to eat a whole pile of crowAlone Disciple said:Say what you will about EA, Pax, or whatever, but I think you're all missing the point...
This guy was trying to prove that EA's contest was sexist and promoted the degradation of women....and his 'gay' pic won! So whether EA feels slighted that he turned the money, the fact is this dude's "plan" to shame EA totally backfired.
He can't complain that EA is a homophobic company when he won unexpectedly. That totally threw his hypothesis out the window and I say he got 'pwnd' in his own way.
HA HA HA
Really, who? Read the posts and say who is whining.Stooo said:I totally agree with Alone on this. I think a lot of people are missing the point that this guy was totally caught out by EA selecting him as a runner up.
Most are just reading 'EA' in the title and then skipping to the whine.
yea, they volunteer to do this job. Its like the people who ***** about Walmart all the time. If they were being so disrespected they wouldn't work there. If the girls didn't want to be dressed in mini skirts and knee high boots with v neck shirts they wouldn't be there. What about the Maserati(or any for that matter) girls at the Detroit auto show? Same thing, different product. Now sense Detroit is run by the most P.C people in government I wonder if that will change.Jarrid said:Just out of curiosity, would this "Sin to Win" debacle be viewed as any less misogynistic (as everyone apparently seems to be required by law to say to even bring said contest up) if a fellow woman decided to, for whatever reason, participate with one of the "booth babes" in double-shaming their gender?
I do believe that shirt is a good bit too short on him. But I know if I express my views the mods will jump on me.Malygris said:Gay Gamer Turns Down EA

You know, I can see them doing either, frankly. Amusing stillHobbesMkii said:That's actually really really funny. I wonder if it was a matter of EA subverting his protest, or if they genuinely found it funny and original enough to place him as runner-up.
Both accurate, and yet creepy!The_root_of_all_evil said:I SO [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/7.127007.2685437] called this![]()
While you're correct that the booth babes do sign up for the job, I guarantee you that they had no part in designing this contest and therefore never had the opportunity to say they'd rather not take part. They agreed to do a job -- stand in a booth, hand out pamphlets -- and found out that they'd been made part of a "sin to win" contest. Pretty shabby treatment, in my book.JWAN said:yea, they volunteer to do this job. Its like the people who ***** about Walmart all the time.
