I'm going to go with the flow here and concede the point to Real-Time Strategy. The only RTS I've ever been really, really good at was Red Alert 2 a looong time ago.

Also, despite my intense love for the bullet hell genre, I am appallingly bad at Touhou games.

EDIT:

All real time RTSs
Real time real-time strategies? That does sound difficult!

I am great at RPGs and 3rd person games, and I am decently good with RTSs, though I will never play an RTS Online, them ppls out there are CRAZY fast...

I love Fighting Games..but..I'm terrible at it. Can't do combos worth crap and I managed to get my crappy roommate to yell at me in Mortal Kombat when I kept using Shang Tsung's 'jab at the throat' attack, which really is the weak punch for...whichever Mortal Kombat tha was.

Best fight I had was against my buddy with Darkstalkers. He clearly owns everyone, but I played Donovan for once, was doing Fucking fantastic against my bud with Donovan's sword. Would have won too if I didn't suddenly press the special combo where Donovan sets his sword down.

Was like "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...."

But yeah, terrible at Fighting games.

I'm strange, every genre I like I'm good at in some way. However I hate rhythm based games but I'm actually very good at them. I kind of enjoy platformers, but I always mess up on timing the jumps in most of them. I absolutely love RTS's and still play Starcraft when I get the chance.

That'd be RTS mainly. I might get good at them with lots of practice, but I mainly play them for nostalgia's sake as they used to be one my favourite genres.

I still love the concept and all, but I seem to have lost the ability to micro-manage somewhere around the time I got my GameCube. My lack of being aggressive (except in Red Alert 2) was never a problem 'back in the days' as I was just too damned good at defending. You should've seen my AoE2 fortresses. But now I just get pummelled.

I also suck with most fighting games, as they usually just have too many damned combo's that I just can't remember, but I can't resist them.

I like to play fighting games with my friends and telling whoever it is I'm playing against that they're going down. I usually lose, cos I try to implement thinking and strategy and it just isn't as flawless a concept as is mashing buttons.

It's hilarious to see so many people answer "RTS", especially since that's my answer as well.

Vertical-scrolling arcade shmups
(like Raiden, Radiant Silvergun, and Twin Cobra). Love them to death, yet unless the game is set to the easiest difficulty I don't do very well at all.

I also enjoy fighting games like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Virtua Fighter, yet I am absolute shite when it comes to playing them.

I like RTS's and I'm not terrible at them. However, my strategy is usually just to get a massive army and throw it all at the enemy at once. So my strategy sucks.

I don't really suck at any game, the worst I can say is slightly over average with my beloved FPS genre.

Fighting games like Tekken and DOA are brilliant but even my 6 year old sister can beat me at them. Oh the shame...

You know what I mean, that certain type of game that you really enjoy playing, but, no matter how much you play, you are never any good at. For me, its RTS's. I own quite a few, but I can never beat the campaign or get anywhere online.

So, what about you guys?

By the way, I did a search, but I didn't find anything recent on the same topic.
I absolutely love but am awful at Naruto: Rise of a ninja on the 360.
I absolutely suck at fighting and had to fight Zabuza like 30 times but I finally beat him... I finally beat him....

God of War 2: Titan mode
Used so many hours trying to kill Theseus... When I finally did that and came to the fates, I could'nt save one of the translators, no matter what I did, he was just so darn defenceless. : /

FPS multiplayer. After finally getting my 360 fixed to be able to go live, I've been playing the crap out of most of my games with multiplayer, but I'm just no good. I've been getting pretty awesome with Left 4 Dead 2, but that seems to be it. I just can't aim. :( I'm well aware that that is the case, and that just makes me wonder, why/how the hell I can rock L4D. o_O
You get to think in that game and it's a slower pace. I still love it.
For me it was Unreal Tournament 2004 700 hours and I still sucked at it 0_0
