WOWOWOWOOOOOOOAAAAAAUUUGH!

That was absolutely hilarious, I laughed. It sounds like a fifteen year old experimenting on a sound board or something. The unfitting nature of it is balanced by its hilarity.

The first clip was actually believable, though still completely unnecessary, and in no way added anything to the scene. And this coming from a guy who liked the prequels.

He didn't need to say no in that scene. The physicality said it for him.
Exactly. This may actually be the best example of what was wrong with the prequels, even though this is in the original trilogy.

To quote Plinkett in his Episode 2 review: "So then we're given 60 seconds in an elevator to establish that Obi-Wan and Anakin are friends. And please notice that this is not accomplished by how they act like friends, but rather by them recounting things in the past; things we never see...now this may seem trivial, but it establishes an important precedent in the way these films are written. We don't SEE or FEEL character's or their connections with each other, we have to be told about them."

I actually find the CGI that clogs up the screen in the Mos Eisley to be more egregious.

That "Whoop!" from Obi is dumb though.

Lucas is either a complete hack or the level of contempt he has for his audience is awesome to behold.

Dear George Lucas,

Screw off forever.

Sincerely,

Me.

It was good enough the first time. Stop trying to remake history in an attempt to make yourself seem even worse at making movies than you already are. You've already proven your "good ideas" are typically almost universally despised. Be satisfied that people inexplicably like you even now, thanks to your ability to piggyback off of the people with actual talent who made the original films. You did a good job on Episode IV, George, now shut up and make something else. Does your love of more money know no limits?

Why is it that such little changes matter so much to star wars fans? The original copies are out there.
Yeah, but to find them you have to purchase the crappy revised editions too. So you can't buy the films without directly funding the next freaking iteration of minor edits. Plus, a bunch of small edits combine to make a much different (and inferior) movie. The Mos Eisley scenes are a good example of this. The revised version of those 10-20 minutes is almost unwatchable to me-it's just a bunch of cgi crap all over the screen, and one pointless and stupid action scene edit that makes no sense.

I hate to be the one (or one of the ones) to say this (because I can't be the only one), but Star Wars is dead. People need to accept this and move on. Lucas is just playing with his barbie dolls now and seeing how much money he can make off it. Leave him to his toys, and keep your happier memories.

WOOO!!!!!!

What the hell is that second sound? It's like they got the first drug-addict they found on the street and told them to imitate a dragon.

The extra dialogue in the first clip not only doesn't sound like Vader, in my opinion it really ruins the moment. I managed to figure out what was going on just fine the first time I watched it, I don't see any need for Lucas to hold our hands.

The films are his property, so if he wants to tinker with them, it's his right. And if you don't like the changes, just watch a non-altered version. Just because a new version appears it doesn't mean the old ones magically disappear.
That argument would have more weight if Lucas would release the remastered, but un-enhanced, original trilogy. Unfortunately the options he has given us are a VHS rip on DVD or all of his fiddling. I wouldn't care a lick about his adjustments as long as I could get a decent copy of the original version.
Laserdisc-rips, but yeah, the point is still there.

Finally something I don't care about, Ewoks...

So, if these leaks are true, this is it right? I mean if somebody has the Blu-Rays they'd tell us everything that's wrong with them all at once, right? RIGHT? I'm scared...

I'm gonna go ahead and call this the pettiest complaint ever made by anyone ever.

LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO NOTICE OR CARE WHEN IT HAPPENS IN-MOVIE.

You have got to be kidding me. I... Just... No. That isn't right.
I don't get it, what's the problem? Wicket always had eyes.
Apparently, adding irises ruins everything.

And Star Wars fans wonder why I don't take them seriously.

This. I know why he is doing it but it's just getting way out of hand now. Some things i can stand like this.
But that is just silly. Adding things like the no and the yell thingy is just ridiculous. Might as well just have him come out screaming obscenities.
lol that been their for years.like the candyman hitting the kid with the board on accident in willy wonka
