Exactly. This may actually be the best example of what was wrong with the prequels, even though this is in the original trilogy.Asita said:He didn't need to say no in that scene. The physicality said it for him.
Yeah, but to find them you have to purchase the crappy revised editions too. So you can't buy the films without directly funding the next freaking iteration of minor edits. Plus, a bunch of small edits combine to make a much different (and inferior) movie. The Mos Eisley scenes are a good example of this. The revised version of those 10-20 minutes is almost unwatchable to me-it's just a bunch of cgi crap all over the screen, and one pointless and stupid action scene edit that makes no sense.kaizen2468 said:Why is it that such little changes matter so much to star wars fans? The original copies are out there.
Laserdisc-rips, but yeah, the point is still there.Hungry Donner said:The extra dialogue in the first clip not only doesn't sound like Vader, in my opinion it really ruins the moment. I managed to figure out what was going on just fine the first time I watched it, I don't see any need for Lucas to hold our hands.
That argument would have more weight if Lucas would release the remastered, but un-enhanced, original trilogy. Unfortunately the options he has given us are a VHS rip on DVD or all of his fiddling. I wouldn't care a lick about his adjustments as long as I could get a decent copy of the original version.Karthak said:Oh for Buddha's sake.
The films are his property, so if he wants to tinker with them, it's his right. And if you don't like the changes, just watch a non-altered version. Just because a new version appears it doesn't mean the old ones magically disappear.
Finally something I don't care about, Ewoks...bombadilillo said:Wicket has eyes.

But that is just silly. Adding things like the no and the yell thingy is just ridiculous. Might as well just have him come out screaming obscenities.
