Oh Fox news you silly, silly people.

My friend showed me this article in which Fox news reported,

"A 17-year-old who would give only his first name, Aki, said he had been studying this year with the shooter at a private business school, and described him as a quiet, reserved person.

Aki said the two played poker together, both in person and online, as well as a multiplayer video game called "Counter-Strike" that involves killing people to complete missions. "He was good," Aki said."

I've searched over 10 other sites and none actually reported anything to do with video games in there.
I love how they slide these snide hints in there. All I have to say is really Fox, really?

It realy is stupid. I know! Lets blame WW2 on Battlefield! This stuff is getting out of hand. Why do kids insist on going mad and shooting people? Also why do his friends say stuff like 'He played counter strike'? I mean surely there was more to his life than that. It also points the blame at the game.

The boy wore shoes, like 100% of the population in the West, and he went on to do that horrible school shooting. Clearly the shoes are to blame. We must outlaw them.

Also, lol @ "killing people to complete missions".

My word no. This is another unfortunate example of sensationalist media, trying desperately to get a different 'angle' on the story they resort to making gross exaggerations such as that.

Sad really.

Didnt you know that Counter-Strike was a murder simulator designed to get people to go on school shootings? /sarcasm

No but seriously, its retarded how the mainstream media seems to skew everything against gaming, one way or the other video games are to blaim, much like elvis was blaimed in his age, and rock and roll destroyed the youth that has now grown up to become most of ours parents.

Its just a scape-goat, there will always be something the media focuses on cause they are to stupid to actually get to the source of the problem and find it much easier to just make stuff up.

So because I play counter strike, I will go on a school shooting rampage. Well I'm surprised my school hasn't been closed down because most the kids I know if they don't play Counter Strike they play Halo, or COD. It's really quite stupid.

Actually, counter-strike mostly consisted of blowing stuff up or stopping stuff being blown up. If you killed the enemy team, you won by default.

But most of you already know this.

"As all of you know, we all breath air. Clearly, it's a devastating influence on our youth. We at Fox News will now lead by example and stop breathing."

That's right, everything is the fault of games.
You know, I heard Hitler was a pretty nice kid until he started playing Call of Duty.

It was also reported so by the Guardian (UK Newspaper) of a left bias who have their own games blog.

He was also a table tennis champ, and his dad loved weapons and he felt bullied and ignored. Which of those do you think may have caused it. Of course not the education system he was basically brought up in /sarcasm

Seriously I've never seen any valid evidence that causes computer games players move onto murder. Nor films or books but these as said by regulatory bodies in the UK and US both are more likely to cause issue than computer games due to interactivity (if anyone would like I can find the document).

They mentioned it, besides most manic depressed people don't leave the house and just get more and more depressed till they snap. If they mention it that does not = blaming it. post the article. I don't think it was the video game I think it was just the kids pastime, but it may have showed that he was depressed, but it does not show the extent of how much he was depressed.

Wait doesn't Germany have full gun registration? I thought school shootings were because of America and the damned 2nd amendment?

don't be a typical liberal and not cite your sources

Its the same stupid thing every time. You won't find many teens who haven't at least played a shooter once in their live.

I don't see how stopping a crew of 4 terrorist before they could plant a bomb would make him snap and kill some school kids.

Might make him join the army though.

Point being, it's a load of bollocks. We know it. Fox knows it.

You could say that civilians should not be allowed guns, anywhere:
1. Because guns are publicized enough that near everyone can use one, and thats worrying! (Look at the situation in Africa with children being drafted)
2. They can be bought near enough anywhere that they are legal (American supermarkets ffs)
3. Any group of people can band together and rise against any group they consider to be less important than them (Look at any form of Terrorism)

But then if they were banned paranoid people around the world would be concerned because armed forces can control them and the government controls the armed forces.

But this Fox's mention of CSS is suggestive, they aren't accusing CSS, they're just placing words in the right place hoping other networks and papers will pick up on it and begin accusing thinking that Fox began it, I mean you all got duped into thinking they were.
They weren't placing blame but it was wrong of them to even mention any game being involved in the guys life, saying he was good at it suggests that the game "trained" him in firearms etc, but that hasn't no more than film or tv.

Next we'll be hearing that a shooter once played with water pistols and that they should all be outlawed

Well news stations have always been blody idiotic,
a Professional weatherman said this
There's a 50% chance of rain of Saturday and a 50% chance of rain on Sunday, so folks we are garunteed to get some rain this weekend

I could list like 300 more mathmatical fallacies and 400 stupidly phrased stories involving logical fallacies, when will they and 80% of the worlds population learn
