I believe ghosts are real but more as people that look over you(as the ghost that has been seen in my house does). I think that as a child you are more subseptiable (sp?) to spectres as you have not been told they aren't real etc.

I am certainly interested in the phenomena and my sister swears blind she has seen a ghost which we later found out could be in keeping with someone who died during the construction of our house. As for whether I believe in them, I'm not so sure. I firmly straddle the fence on this one.

There have been some strange occurrences that I believe were caused by a Poltergeist. However, I have no idea what a Poltergeist is. Nobody does, but I don't think it is the spirits of the undead, as souls do not exist.

I see, but how do you know they were even poltergeist?

Yes i believe in ghosts. I also believe that after you die you go to a nice sandy warm beach. If that was death then i wouldn't mind.

Well nobody knows what caused these events. That's just one idea.

I don't believe in anything.

But I know a lot of things, and one of those things is that ghosts do not exist!

I don't exactly believe in ghosts but I believe in spirits and 2nd dimension beings. I talked about this with a mate and we came to a conclusion that when you get goose bumps, but you're not cold, it means a creature from another dimension wants to 'play' with you. They might touch you or hang on to you but they won't hurt you if you have a strong mind. You can also get rid of them just by staying strong and telling them to go away.

However I do not believe in afterlife so the spirits aren't those of the deceased but they are creatures/beings on their own.

Off topic:
My mum once told me when she and her friends played spiritism they actually got a spirit to answer their questions. After a while though the spirit got pissed off so they had to stop. (It threatened them with death and what not) They had used mum's grandmum's wedding ring and a glass and they had had to break the glass so that they would be able to leave.

Mummy was a badass when she was a teenager. =)

Yeah, I believe in 'ghosts'.
I've had a few experiences.

I also believe in mediums, to a degree.
A lot of them are just showmen, but some people are genuine.
David Wells, for instance.

Also, my mum has this irritating habit of predicting the future.

I'M NOT CRAZY

I shall get the ball rolling, i believe in ghosts and poltergeists, but not in the religious view of them, and how they are souls, i think they are merely left over energy, possible contained or compact, or just the same strand of a life repeating over and over. Not anything mystical and godly.
a "strand of life" sound pretty mystical to me.

I believe in ghosts...sort of. I have had experiences. Including one particular feeling I can only describe as being possessed. It was a curious experience.

Also, there have been numerous reports from friends and family of me being in places I wasn't, and even conversing with the me that wasn't really there. Research led me to believe it was either a vardoger or a doppelganger. I think maybe a vardoger, since I often inadvertantly followed in its footsteps.

by the way, has anyone ever had a deja-vu moment?
when i was about ten, i had a dream about being at a school and wearing a green uniform standing outside a door in a lne, then, a few years later, it happened
it just happened a few weeks ago as well, i dreamed about me being at my grandfathers funeral and then two days ago, the exact thing happened in real life
creepy...

So you didn't watch George Carlin acts? He said it in more impressive way :/
Your post reminded me more of Epicine from the Karma Inquisition/Lan Tarryk Kozar. During one of the songs he says
"Ok, I'm getting deja vu right now. No, wait! It's vuja de! The feeling I have never done this before."
