At first I thought it was someone getting pissy about being teabagged in Halo.

Then I saw it was Playstation Home.

I actually have some sympathy now, there are way to many sexpests in that "game" even my GF got sexually harassed on there by a supposed lesbian.

Yes, i realise the news covered the girl. This is more about the fact that she got a section in a physical newspaper because of this.
So what she got a section of the newspaper? Nonsense ends up in papers all the time, and even more so now that the newspapers are all going under. It was probably a slow news day, and they need to constantly grab people's attention one way or another.

For example, there was a story done in the Toronto Star a few years ago, about how some college chick got paid to strip in some residence at Western, for some guy's birthday. Who cares? Silly stuff like that goes on in residences across this country on a weekly basis.

No one likes being griefed, and from what I've heard, a lot of this seems to happen on Home.

Seems like an easy fix for Playstation though; if a player harrasses you, simply "block" them, and instead of booting them, your avatar has a 3 foot bubble around that no blocked player can enter.

No problems to the rest of the community or radically altering the world, and the player can continue to enjoy their mini-games and socializing without the harrasser bothering them.

I'm not really bothered with this, but I now realize I could probably make thousands in tips just by sending a newspaper a link to this website.

That has problems in itself, i mean, couldn't people technically team up to group block one player?

I don't understand how this could possibly get to the level of actual sexual harassment. I think she should talk to some rape victims and find out what it's actually like. Then be hit around the head with a brick.

Fair point, didn't think of that. I think the reward could still outweigh the potential abuses if you have players submit a reason with their block request.

Giving the community a more active role in self-regulating behavior seems like a better outlet for dealing with griefing players than having to continuously report and leave negative feedback on my 360 with no knowledge if any action has ever been taken.

So.. you think her claim is invalid or what? What is your point? And some of us have never cyber tea-bagged anyone because we have something called respect for our fellow men/women.

Welcome to online. There are trolls, there are griefers. And no matter what is done, they will always, ALWAYS and without fail, find a way to do what they do best.

These people need to stop being such idiots and think like a troll: you just gave this guy publicity in a print paper. Which means you just started an epidemic. You just gave the trolls a silver platter of the finest cheeses from around the world.
As I never tire of saying, it's an excuse to complain, which are now worth more than gold.

And since when has anyone gave a shit what the Daily Mail thinks? This is the same newspaper that thinks all forms of media will turn you into mass murderers and think that homosexuality causes flooding.
My second and third sentence perhaps? And i did say take it with a grain of salt considering the paper. Did you even read my post?

Ohh, whoops, 3rd and 4th.

Oh my... when i first heard about this on this website I scoffed.

When i was a kid i would have done the same thing. Hell we have games basically just for that *Cough*Extrem Beach Vollyball*cough*

What do you expect its the internet. Its were pervs go to perv out with anonymity. And yes, teenage boys are the biggest pervs of all.

This girl seems like a bigger weirdo than the pervs to me though... at least the kid might be a normal enough bloke outside of the game, boys will be boys and all... but seriously, this seems like attention whoring on her behalf to me...

Of couse im sure someones going to call me a pig, oh well.

Sounds like Diary Of A Wimpy Kid to me!

OT: I'll actually explain why this is stupid. The person is just an idiot thats probably a 14 year-old. You shouldn't take this seriously.
