Yes, this girl actually got into a newspaper. It's the daily mail though, so again, take this with a grain of salt.

What bothers me is the fact that "cyberspace law" (That exists? Really?) says that people could face charges. This couldn't realistically happen because hell, we've all tea-bagged once right?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Yes, i realise the news covered the girl. This is more about the fact that she got a section in a physical newspaper because of this.

This girl's being a little *****. I hope she realizes that she's just given the media more ammunition to use against videogames.

"...draw a strong distinction between the avatar and themselves..."

I know a guy whose WoW character is a female elf.

Nah, it's just the Daily Mail after all.

I hope she never plays COD online.

If I had a penny for every threat of rape I've gotten... I'd be able to afford a PS3.

Or Halo.

Imagine how she'd react to getting teabagged...
i lol'd XD

this is just getting rediculous

Wait. You mean... the videogame community might actually have to be civil to each other and be held accountable for their actions?!

OH GOD THE HORROR.

So she went on the internet and couldn't handle it, so she cried about it?

Sigh, I so want to make a faux sexist comment right now...
Something like, 'bitches can't handle the internet'?

HAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously, anyone who feels "violated" through their avatar is a loser, and obviously doesn't have a whole lot of stimulation in real life so they create drama to feel important, or like they are participating alongside with the rest of us.

Jesus......

She'd probably need therapy...
"Oh god, digital pixels resembling my face are being touched by digital pixels from another player's avatar... panic! Get me CNN, quick!"

Another fine example of how some people act like giant puss...err, cats when it comes to games and the interblag (hidden reference!)
I SEE WHAT YOU DID THAR.

Uuuuuggggggghhhhhh...This is so stupid. A bloke (Probably some twelve year old) was acting a bit silly around a woman IN A GAME! It does not give her the right to *****. No offense but casual gamers who spend their time solving the christmas puzzle in home really need to learn a few things about gamers before they start bitching for change.

I don't understand how this could possibly get to the level of actual sexual harassment. I think she should talk to some rape victims and find out what it's actually like. Then be hit around the head with a brick.
Exactly, I'd actually love to see this "sexually assaulted" female speak to real victims of sex crimes, and see how they react to her

It certainly is.

Wow, so does that mean when I get teabagged on xbox live I'm a victim of necrophelia?
Ha... that made me chuckle.

Yeah but it's the Daily Mail, they do their utmost to vilify games at every possible turn, even if it means making up some stuff to put their spin on it.

Anyone who looks into the whole "Manhunt Murder" that was printed a couple of years ago can see that, they had their facts round the wrong way and blew it totally out of proportion.
