The numerous references to Austrailia are making me worry that this silly bint lives there, in which case, she's just given Mr Atkinson a whole load more BS-bullets to shoot out from between his gappy gnashers...

Whilst we're on the subject of the bile-fuelled idiot from Oz... I thought this'd lighten the mood somewhat, and maybe even stop me losing all faith in humanity. It also sums up what I think of Mr A's baseless opinions...

The average headline in the daily mail is "Immigrants cause aids which reduces house prices."

I'm glad somebody knew, It was, but it's also true, the bloody thing is trash

I don't understand how this could possibly get to the level of actual sexual harassment. I think she should talk to some rape victims and find out what it's actually like. Then be hit around the head with a brick.
Exactly, I'd actually love to see this "sexually assaulted" female speak to real victims of sex crimes, and see how they react to her
Indeed. Though, I'd stick around to watch the bricking.

Well, maybe the thought of facing legal action will stop people from being assholes online. But that is mainly on XBL.
I'd be glad if there are less tea-bagging idiots. (sorry, but I have little to no respect for tea-baggers.)
But that isn't the issue, it is Virtual Sexual Assault. I'd be glad if there was less of that as well.
Tea bagging is only ok when the person totally had it coming, for example threatening to rape your family or spewing profanity in the lobby.

Then it's bloody hilarious.

Now that is silly, you can't blame the video games themselves for the immaturity of the players. But that is why Playstation and Microsoft offer Complaint systems.

What a crybaby.

"Oh someone pretended to crouch behind me and now I'm traumatised"

Grow up, it's a fucking game and it's not like he actually raped or harassed you via voice. Pressing charges because of a whiny person who can't take a damn joke....

This has no legal implications at all. You can't sue anyone or anything over this, and no legal charges can be filed against anyone or anything BECAUSE NOTHING FREAKING HAPPENED.

No one was assaulted. Virtual piles of polygons that resemble human beings performed actions which were implied to be sexual in nature - oh my. How.... horrible. Yeah.

You know in that in Sudan, the Janjaweed militia are ACTUALLY RAPING people! THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE!

And the newspaper thinks this is something to report on.

Society is just getting coddled at this point - the other day I was watching the news, and there was a section on the Haitian Earthquake, whereupon the newsreader turned towards the camera and said "this report contains distressing images". OH REALLY!? A REPORT ABOUT A FRICKIN EARTHQUAKE AND YOU NEED TO TELL THE VIEWER THAT THERE WILL BE "DISTRESSING IMAGES"!? It's the bloody news, not a G-rated kids show!

What's next? Can't say the F-word because someone will take that as sexual assault? Can't show a nature documentary without warning the viewer that "Footage of animals will be shown"? Can't show a single film without warning us that we might see Blood?!

I am generally considered to be on the left when it comes to social welfare. But these days I am convinced that our society (Australian, UK, US) is becoming a molly coddled mess, populated by old grannies crying perpetually about "The children".

Someone slips up in a supermarket and gets hundreds of thousands for "emotional pain and suffering". A digital character has a minor silly motion performed towards it and we call it sexual assault. A teacher says the word "Damn" in a school and everyone freaks out.

The problem is that people have got the idea that all their emotional issues must be taken seriously, regardless of how STUPID they are. Where ever single bloody minor inconvenience or insult must be regarded as a full frontal assault on our dignity. Where society must put warning labels on everything because suddenly being an idiot is no longer an individual's fault, so we must tailor all of society to suit them.

Citation needed.

Otherwise, you're just being another young whiny guy on a video game forum spouting baseless claims and ill-founded outrage.

This reminds me of a time a girl was raped in a RP on Secondlife, and she tried to press charges of actual rape and demanded Linden Labs give her the other persons information so she could press charges <_< ok its called A. Ignore command B. LOG OFF? C. Its a ROLE PLAY if you don't play along then he can't do a thing, I mean if you role play being raped, then its not rape you are consenting by responding <.< o wait I'm applying logic to the interwebs.... *ERROR**ERROR**DOESNOTCOMPUTE*

I remember The Advertiser doing a piece on Home when it first came out calling it all this stuff, saying children are at risk etc etc. I laughed pretty hard while reading it. They were talking about how they made a fat girl character and whenever she tried to talk to anyone they would call her fatty and stuff, and when they made the attractive female character, all the guys would pester her. I can't remember what they said about the guy they made though.
