Sofar it was always just a hobby of mine they didn't like, and in rare cases was extremely disliked so I learned to shut up about it.

It be nice to get a girl into it, but how can games compete with shoes... maybe a game about shoes? Is there such a thing?
I own about 2 pairs of shoes and mostly could not give a rats ass about them if they aren't a disgusting colour and my feet are dry. I'd buy a decent RPG over a pair of shoes any day.
Yes but you are the very rarest of creatures that has yet to be spotted in my neck of the woods.
Probably have better chances winning the lottery then finding a gamer girl.

But maybe you could help out, how do we get some converts, how to bait them to our side?

How about an RPG that featured Rats Asses shoes then?

Mine was originally a bit "Eh." about me gaming, but that soon dissipated, especially when I showed her Aliens Vs. Predator on the Xbox 360. Now she's actually asking me to fix my RRoD'd 360. I think she wants it back more than I do. :p

That and she can't get enough of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War.

So I guess mine takes to it pretty damn well now. :p

My boyfriend and I met on a video game.... I think he's ok with it.

Now that we've been dating for 3 years, we put our gaming collections together and it is very impressive.

My GF plays MTG with me and my playgroup sometimes. She has a sweet Uril EDH that we made together. She also wanted to play a co-op game together, so we got diablo 2, it is awesome to do somthing together.

Though, I only ladder on SC2 when she is at work or studying.

I tried to show her Portal 2, but she wasn't interested.

Theres this girl that I'm talking to and I gotta say I'm surprised that she plays games, AND is as hot as she is. Sure she plays guitar hero, and CoD, but its a start. If only she went to my school, and not one of the neighboring districts, oh well, I gotta seal the deal soon.

I've been dating a girl for the past 9 months and she is pretty much my best friend as well as my girlfriend. She doesn't like console games too much but she loves her some WoW though(I believe she has 2 or 3 85's) so we have days where i play my 360 & PS3 while she quests and raids away for hours.

I've always enjoyed games. But the two types of gamer guys who like me, the passive, insecure type who force me inevitably to be the "man" of the relationship and the sexist, arrogant fratboy types (who I absolutely refuse to date) don't really make for good boyfriends.

I finally found one who does. He's not a gamer- more a soldier with a flair for stringed instruments who just happens to be incredibly intelligent, sweet, and handsome. But for him, gaming and our relationship is a source of insecurity. I'm better than him at it and he's been shy of it generally because of this. But he's gently getting acclimated to the waters and he's very supportive of my gaming.

I enjoy FPS and he went with me to the midnight release of black ops and even pre-ordered me Gears of War.

You could perhaps say that I am living the dream.

My boyfriend is a major geek, just not in the way of video games. He and I play occasionally together, but I'm really the big gamer in the house. But he thinks my geekiness is endearing, so it's actually a bonding thing, for us. :)

I used to think that it would be awesome to have a GF who games. Then I got one. It was not the first time that I've realised that some things are better in my imagination.

My current GF is not into games at all. She likes shopping, soap operas, and talking (read: gossiping) on the phone. And I like it that way. She has certain things she likes to do without me and I have things I like to do without her (like gaming) and that way we both get a little room to breath. For us it works really well. There's no way I'd swap her for a girl who games.

My boyfriend was much more into gaming than me when I met him and he's really got me into it. He's brought out my inner geek.

My girlfriend wasn't big on videogames. In fact, she considered them childish, not something someone my age should pass his time with.

My dark influence has corrupted her pure, innocent mind since then.

Personally I haven't had that problem romantically but in friends I have. All the guys I have dated have been just as geeky as me(because it is a requirement with me) but my friends don't have that requirement. I just don't play around my non geeky/gamer friends. And attempt to not talk about video games around them.

It is not so important to find a 'gamer girl'. I didn't and all is well. As for 'baiting them to your side' as if they were some woodland creature, well, suffice to say you seem young and I think you mean well, so I'm not going to say what my initial reaction to that phrasing was. Perhaps if you didn't think of girls as something that needed to be baited or trapped ;). People know their own minds as they get older, f someone is curious they will express interest, cramming gaming down someone's throat is the surest route to disinterest

I would probably buy it. Although, would the rats asses have shoes, or the shoes be made of rats asses?
