Give me a stereotype of any genre of music and I will post a song that breaks it.

lol citing BtBaM as something good. Try Dismember for some good Death Metal :)
Give this man a medal. Preferably an Iron Cross. BtBaM are not even death metal, let alone good.
Don't be so quick to dismiss them man, I almost fell into the same trap. Thought they were just another one of those shitty core bands, but holy shit dude they are no where near any of that stuff. They aint death metal, I know that, but don't dismiss as some core band because they aint, they might tour with those types of bands and always grouped with them but its unjust, trust me. Best, um, melodic tech metal band going, they are like gojira if they weren't french and they played solos.

All Nickelback songs suck. I win!
You're confusing an opinion for a stereotype, my friend.
You're confusing a joke with a chance to correct someone, my friend. I know the difference between an opinion and a stereotype. To be more precise, it's a fact. Nickelback sucks.
:-D
Stereotype:

~~Sociology . a simplified and standardized conception or image invested with special meaning and held in common by members of a group: The cowboy and Indian are American stereotypes.

Stating that something is a certain way and giving listed examples(from others) means that it is a stereotype. You just wrote that to troll.

You'll have to forgive me then. Knowing how strongly opinionated some people are, the point of this thread, and due to text's lack of ability to project emotion well, I just assumed you were being serious. Mah bad. ^-^;; I think I'll just stick to responding to actual stereotypes so I avoid looking like a dick again. >.>;;

Country songs sung by men are about: Trucks, being a cowboy or making love to a woman.

Country songs sung by women are about: Longlost love or being strong, independent and not needing a man.
Not my topic, but i'm a lover of country songs.. try

<youtube=asxrMSVrJ08>

Or <Youtube=YK3zs7EV6Tk>(that's one of my favorite songs)

Or I could just go old school with Hank Williams Jr. and "A Country Boy Can Survive"

Wow you must feel like quite the scholar, eh? As I stated, it was nothing more than a little joke. Not a troll, not a misinterpretation of the word "stereotype," just a joke. Another stereotype would be: users of The Escapist are very rigid and constantly quest for opportunities to show how cultured and highbrow they are.

70's rockers can't finish a song until they've either:
A) Executed a perfect knee slide
B) Screamed YEEEOOOWWW
C) Thrust their guitars in the air as high as they can
D) introduced at least 10 seconds of feedback into the song
But what if they are the drummer?

Ok here's one I might be dead wrong about but worth a try. Most 1st gen punk (IE The Sex Pistols and The Clash) are about rebelling, politics and going against the social norms. Also another note is I love all the gens of punk. It's just want I've noticed.
The Band the Ramones breaks this one my friend. They are first generation and are given credit for being among the first punk bands. Sex Pistols is just who created the punk fashion because they were brought together for the purpose of pushing the fashions of a certain designer who wanted to make a "punk look"

You can also look up bands such as Agent Orange, Descendants, and other American Melodic punk that got its style from the Ramones. There is also the punk band The Misfits who sand about horror movies. Hell even look into blondie mate, she was given credit for being an American punk Pioneer.
as for examples here goes:
Ramones-

Circle Jerks-

The Clash-

The Misfits-

The Sex Pistols (over rated)

The Adicts-

Crass-

Agent Orange-

Descendants-

And thats enough evidence. The Defense rests.

Case Closed.

Well I can't see this going unbroken but oh well:
All rap music is either the artist explaining hardships or how successful/cool they are.

J-rock and visual kei artists have strange and neat costumes and hair.
